I should have bookmarked more of the stories last summer when I was reading about it but do some searching about Shadow Profiles http://beta.slashdot.org/story/159302 Basically, Facebook's automated image scanners know that there are 5 people in a photo. 4 of those people have Facebook accounts, 1 does not. They can then cross reference that face/image through other profiles and through phone databases and figure out that this person exists, who they hang out with, and for advertising purposes, what their likes and dislikes probably are. There are a bunch of interesting articles about the practice and I wouldn't be surprised if it is even more deep than what we know. Crazy shit. The best bet is to be lost in the data stream.

Facebook knows more than you probably realize. They even create shadow profiles for people who don't have Facebook accounts. Even if you don't use Facebook, Facebook knows that you exist and knows what shows you go to and who you hang out with.

Facebook doesn't really owe him anything. They hold all of the cards. That said, I agree with what Draeke suggested. Also, I keep misreading this thread as "Neogoa banged by Facebook" and it makes me laugh.

I can't answer because I don't listen to bad music.

What music are you listening to right now?

Planet Ben was a true outside-of-the-box thinker. So much greatness from that man. The Planet Ben vs Synchro "Vampire State Building" 12" from Naja Records is a force to be reckoned with. And "Orang-U-Tangent" from the White Rhino compilation slays. So much awesome -
King Goa Constrictor Déjà Vu (2hr33min/VariableMP3/231MB/©2014) Genre: Psychedelic Goa Trance <<<Download Audio>>> This winter I had a terrible cough and was drinking copious amounts of cough syrup for many weeks. During that time, two albums seemed to be in heavy rotation, the Flying Rhino compilation White Rhino and the Blue Planet Corporation release on DAT Records, Blueprint for Survival. These chuggy and grumbly sonic noises were both in my ears and escaping from my ass, so to speak, and were the inspiration for this moody, classic, warm-blanket, gurgly, acidic, and melodic dreamtime trip trough the cosmos. Artists include: Juno Reactor, Slinky Wizard, Blue Planet Corporation, Nervasystem, Process and Tristan, Man With No Name, Nasha, POB, Prana, X-Dream, Total Eclipse, Slinky Nuns, Process, Slide, Etnica, California Sunshine, Dandandado, Friends, Lovers & Family, Green Nuns of the Revolution, Hallucinogen Complete track list and more info at: goaconstrictor.com/music/deja-vu

I'm really bummed that they went away. I definitely stopped buying physical media for the most part, as did many others, so I understand why it happened, but they were definitely the best of the bunch for a very long time. I wish they had a way to move over to digital distribution, but I guess that wasn't realistic. If they ever read this message: You're Loved and Missed!! <3 xoxox

Both Union Jack and Art of Trance are projects by Simon Berry (label boss of Platipus Records). Art of Trance is his solo work. Union Jack is him and Claudio Giussani (and the new Union Jack album is not Union Jack. fuck that name-stealing rubbish). Claudio Giussani also writes music under the name Terra Ferma on Platipus Records. I highly recommend the first Terra Ferma album "Turtle Crossing" (although the second album is good too, just not the same). You should really check out more of the Platipus stuff. The first three Platipus comps (Volume 1, Volume 2, and Volume 3) are worthy of picking up if you like that sound. The comps have great tracks by POB, Virtualmismo, L.S.G., Clanger, and an artist I've recommended around here before, Quietman. Another project that you might want to check out is Satori (Sean "Process" Williams and Pete "Slide" Martin). You like Tristan and Tristan used to work with Process on some great tracks back in the mid 90s around the same time as Satori was releasing stuff. Satori released 8 tracks on various labels and all are worth grabbing http://www.discogs.com/artist/87962-Satori-3 However, their 12"s "Liquid Sky/Entroy" and "Event Horizon/Neureality" would probably please you the most. If any of that stuff pleases you, or displeases you, let me know and I can give more recommendations after filtering more of what you are looking for. Cheers!

While it's not my favorite track by a long shot, I have to agree that Hallucinogen "LSD" is kind of the unofficial anthem of the Psychedelic Goa Trance community. It's from right at the beginning by one of the cornerstones of the music. The opening notes are instantly recognizable and the song captures the spirit and energy of the new sounds that were breaking through at that point in time.

Don't worry. It is all shit. Don't waste you time trying to figure it out. =) lololol These might not be up your alley, maybe they will be, I dunno. Try giving a listen to: Texas Faggott - Petoman's Peflett (Exogenic Records) Darshan - Awakening (Flying Rhino Records) Prana - Geomantik (Matsuri Productions) Prometheus - Corridor of Mirrors (Twisted Records) Juno Reactor - Beyond the Infinite (Blue Room Released)

I thought Transwave got back together years ago with that Backfire album (or whatever). Meh Not really caring about this one but will be pleasantly surprised if it comes out good -

Dick's putting it up on his soundcloud for free download. Very excited to hear it =) -
and I understand that it was a pain in the ass for you to make your order, with all of those steps and time wasted, but that's because of your money management problems, not the label or album. in the future, keep $50 in an Emergency Album Purchase account so that you don't need to deal with any of that

I read what you posted and your anger still makes no sense. You got your copy. You don't need to pay higher prices. End of story. Anything after that, let's say demand is so great that they print another 604 copies, this has no influence on you. You got your copy, at the price you wanted. Win. Done. I'm not trying to piss you off. I just really don't see what the fuss is about.

The OG 12" is fucking slick. It is easy to understand why one was released and the other not. They are different, but no need to release two versions of the same track at the same time. And if you haven't heard Seven Serpents before, well, one cannot explain God. One has to witness it...
