lolololol From the very first review in this thread throughout all of the reviews talking about guitar, which seem to have zero understanding of some of the industrial rock roots of Goa Trance, this is an amazingly poor review thread. No wonder the bulk of quality Goa died a dozen years ago... lololololol

arrrgg This type of stuff grinds my gears. So here is a true compilation: http://www.discogs.com/Various-XplaNations/release/53390 And here is what would be better described as an anthology: http://www.discogs.com/Various-TIP-The-Story/release/128411 One of them is from a specific year and contains tracks for the purpose of showcasing a specific sound of the label. The other is a broad stroke picture of multiple years of music from the label to highlight everything. Every track is recycled from a previous compilation and it is nothing more than a greatest hits album. They are entirely 02 different types of product and you can't really equate them with one another.

I was very pleasantly surprised by how awesome this comp turned out to be. I'm not always into the new Goa sounds but this comp totally kicks ass. Good job +1

Yeah, don't put pressure on him or force quality. It'll just be shit. Just release the 5-track EP Maybe find someone to remix one track and make it a nice 6-pack =) -

How Infected Mushroom became so famous?
the goa constrictor replied to Ormion's topic in General Psytrance
I remember when I got my first death threat from an Infected Mushroom fan after the infamous Infected Mushroom interview on my old radio show. Strangely, Tuesday afternoon after making my stupid post in this thread, I was reported to Facebook for something irrelevant and my account is now suspended. Coincidence? -

ehhh Infected Mushroom are huge due to nationalistic pride the same way another totally shit Israeli band is so fucking popular (Astral Projection). Both rubbish. -

I really liked the movie greatly (Ex Machina) It was something that I have definitely had debates on the Internet about, as not everyone appreciated it as much as I did, but I've won many over and people can be idiots on the Internet at times. I don't want to delve into much because it's better to not ruin anything, but I highly encourage checking it out

Ex Machina A real great sci-fi A.I. movie

One of my most prized vinyls To the Rhino in the Sky He is _THE_ Flying Rhino and the namesake of the entire label I never knew him but I know him well through the legacy he helped birth

As for most under-appreciated or overlooked artists of that era: Process Sean Williams had his hand in some excellent work all over the place, essentially co-wrote the last great Simon Posford trance track (Beast "Trouble/Spawn"), and had a unique love for writing songs based on nothing more than analog blips and sonic twistedness. He wasn't writing formal melodies like other artists and instead used energy and sounds to create tension/release And he now has a PhD in audio shit. He worked as Satori with Pete Martin, as well as with the Flying Rhino boys, Matsuri/Tsuyoshi, Twisted/Simon, Nervasystem/Drezz, Benji/Prometheus, and of course Tristan. As far as unique 1990's era original UK analog psychedelic Goa trance, he was very unique should be up among the heavyweights of the era =)
