  1. this is the strangest bot / thread. thirty months of a bot talking to itself periodically. so odd, yet I'm thankful that the mods are leaving this here
  2. *raises hand* --> although I was blessed with much good music throughout the 2000s up until a few years ago when the Suomi and much of the Aussie scene slowed to a crawl. Still a few releases here and there, but for the most part, it appears spent. Can't blame them, it sounds like many of the labels had low sales. Psy-Harmonics, Freakdance, Exogenic, Devic Craft, Demon Tea, Edgecore, Faerie Dragon, 6D Soundz, Space Boogie, Surreal Audio, Karelia So many quality releases throughout the 2000s, I was a very happy camper. As those labels started to die off, in addition to the losses of the the Goa greats and more minimal second wave, I quite often feel that there isn't much to listen to these days. There are certainly some great releases that slip through, but overall, the music that made my soul bounce has slipped away... (editor's note: I'm not really grumpy. I'm very thankful that I was able to experience what I did and when I did. That was all pure magic and it changed my life)
  3. Bandcamp page for those who prefer that method: https://phantasmrecords.bandcamp.com/album/brainradio
  4. Woohoo! Just bought on Bandcamp Looking forward to the disc arriving, but will fulfill myself with the FLACs while I wait =)
  5. I think I remember that guy from the old goa@party.net mailing list. He was nice. Good music
  6. Technically, none of the bad tracks in this thread are "goa" as there is no such thing as "bad goa"
  7. Too far ahead of its time and the curve Was too "out there" and landlocked to Australia Travel out of Australia is $$$ and I'm sure it wasn't easy to get gigs Just a guess though
  8. Edgecore and that comp Edges R Fun are soooooo good! That Mass track Swinessa's Dead is just topnotch shit.
  9. #BLM is a very important movement. They are not dangerous. Statistically, white christian males cause more violence and more crime than people of color. #BLM will never be too big, as to be too big would mean that systemic and institutionalized racism is no longer a thing. I do not feel that this will happen during my lifetime. #BlackLivesMatters should have everyone's support
  10. Yeah, there's an entire Japanese contingent that is quirky and not serious: Masa Ree.k Ubar Tmar Sci Forest If we're excluding Finnish, are we excluding Australia too? Rip Van Hippy Shaolin Wooden Men Lumukanda The Visitors
  11. Deadmau5 DJs goa trance now? crazy
  12. Let's Mozart is fantastic! Such a great cheesy summer EP of goodness
  13. Yeah, I've tried multiple times with that one Procs album everyone gushes over. Still not doing it for me. Saw Psykovsky live and listened to some of his stuff, I totally appreciate why people like him, just not my style.
  14. And Blue Room released Acid Rockers and Deviant Electronics at that time, both of which were quite breaky I love that era of Blue Room
  15. Let there be light
  16. All Psy-Harmonics comps are pure gold.
  17. Agreed. There are two camps in the Goa/Psy Trance realm: Those who think Astral Projection (specifically Mahadeva) is the pinnacle of classic Goa Trance beginnings and those who think Hallucinogen (LSD / Twisted) is the classic root of all things Goa.
  18. I brought out Texas Faggott in 2000 for their debut USA performance. They introduced me to a ton of music, including Notkea Rotta. I even have a slick Notkea Rotta t-shirt. I love that one =)
  19. What part of the USA? We're having our 5th **GOA PARTY** event this summer in Oregon More info about the series, different themes, and 8hrs of music from the first event: http://goaconstrictor.com/thoughts/goa-party/
  20. I love finish hip hop Check out Notkea Rotta if you haven't already Jus Anime also has some good stuff =)
