  1. When it comes to Nano Records, Tongue & Groove are the kings. Funky, acidic, groove oriented psychedelic trance music. No full-on stomp. Just pure solid groove. They seem to be the extension of what the Green Nuns could have gone had they stayed together and what Dick Trevor seems uninterested in producing anymore. (sorry for the threadjack...)
  2. I saw that! Thank you! I think that's a great place and idea and hopefully people will utilize it and have better success =)
  3. this looks pretty sweet! Tongue and Groove are fucking awesome too...
  4. It's weird then this place gets into Drama Land... xoxox
  5. Maybe Doof will tour to support his eventual shirt release lolololololol
  6. I got to hear Darshan live a couple of weeks ago, so that has been checked off of the list. I'd love to travel back in time and experience the proper Green Nuns live show (not the recent Dick Trevor DJ sets) Shaolin Wooden Men Blue Planet Corporation Union Jack (the real one) Mark Allen DJ set The Zap! James Reipas Man With No Name Space Cat
  7. I'm really excited that this music moved you enough to write a negative review seven years after it was originally released and then ignored... You really just gave this album more cred than it has previously...
  8. Seriously. Poor E-Rection. X-Dream stole all of their glory for this
  9. The album really reminds me of classic mid-90s era Platipus Records. Oh I keep loving this the more I listen to it. Tracks 2 and 7 are so special!
  10. Here's a live recording of my Fried Kale project. I was recording some practices leading up to a gig last week so that I could tighten up some of the effects and transitions. The club I played at had some issues and that recording didn't come out well, but here's one of my practices: friedkale.com/audio/FriedKale-Live-2016.mp3
  11. I would definitely snuggle Ticon together with this grouping that the likes of Ace Ventura and Perfect Stranger
  12. A mini run of 12 shirts! lololol If you send me the art work, I'll print my own out here
  13. Like, not to be a broken record, but Ticon and Ace Ventura should never be spoken of in the same sentence. They're entirely different music. One has created hours of depth ranging in sounds and textures leading the listener on a journey through multiple states of trance; created by a mixture of analog, organic, and digital sounds. The other is Ace Ventura. One of the most overhyped, overpriced, overrated artists. Fuck, even Infected Mushroom are more interesting than he is.
  14. From the Facebook page: "Acid Black is a psytrance alter ego of Alex Tolstey ( Boshke Beats Records)"
  15. Woke up to my download link!!! Woooohoooo!!!!! :D :D :D
  16. The Doof shirt is going to be DAT Records "Chinese Democracy" moment...
  17. that looks kind of awesome
  18. We talking fully shitty or just somewhat disappointing?
  19. You think a track like ChickenShaker sounds housey? Rip It Up is the fucking JAM! You Make Me Wanna Drink More is great as well. All of it. That album is awesome.
  20. =) Ticon have gone through a couple of different "styles" over the year If you're new to Ticon, I'd encourage you to check out ZeroSixAfter and Aero first. Their debut, Rewind, while good, is a bit too minimal tuba-trance style 2am is great, but starts getting more electro-house fringe (kind of like X-Dream "We Interface" album strayed) Their last album, I Love You, Who Are You is okay, but it's a little too bland and generic progressive house sounding. It has a couple of really choice cuts on it, and the album has grown on me over time, but it's nothing I would encourage anyone to get introduced to Ticon with But Aero and ZeroSixAfter, holy shit. Those are just top-to-bottom brilliant albums. Mirage sounds like it is more inline with those albums than their other more recent ones. I'm super duper fantastically excited!!
  21. omg... Ace Ventura is such shit Please do not compare Ticon with Ace Ventura
  22. They basically played the album at Symbiosis last week and it was fantastic! Soooooo stoked on it. That set was killer =) <3 <3 <3
  23. It's some Explosive Diorama! (note: I actually think the Secret Society cover is funny and approve of its silliness. It just fit within the context of the sequence of posts)
  24. I dunno. The mastering on Antic's new comp is a bit tinny and has distorted bass. You should toss that out and hire a real engineer lololol
