i dunno about that - huja's recent tracks on compilations have been totally rocking - the best full-on out there, imo. this album was a disappointment, but it's not just him. his solo album is coming out in the fall.

The Gathering was the first album, you realize.. everything came out of it, Classical, BP, etc. it feels a lot more raw - the ideas, production, execution - than the other albums. I like that.

so does the first track, and a couple more i think. but yeah, it's very good full-on and it's a million times better than the e-jekt album. <shrug>

only in production quality.... if you're talking original ideas, though, it's a whole different story.

I like Space Pussy and Spiritual Antiseptic also.. but had to vote for LSD/Shamanix together. Deranger and Gamma Goblins second. Shaken Shaker third.

yeah, Tiesto and PVD get people dancing too, doesn't mean it's any good.

bleh.. i thought an album from Hujaboy would be a lot better than this. This isn't bad but I wouldn't call it exactly great either. You want good modern old school influenced psy, check out v/a Goodfellas. with the exception of the CPU track, it's killargh.

it's pretty good - not as good as the Talpa album, but better than Misted Muppet, for sure. A bit too melodic, imo. but I guess that's his thing. gotta go listen to it again now.
