  1. great sample.. i think that's their first released track. i used to love Misted Muppet. that's why the album was such a huge disappointment...
  2. I don't quite agree that Misted is a copy of Infected.. The styles are similar, but The Gathering has a raw energy and intensity of emotion that the MIsted album doesn't even come close to. And yeah, Misted old tracks are light years better than the album. Check out Photos of Ghosts on v/a Vibraspirit 11. It's an older track that just got released.
  3. misted music is crude, imo. overly dramatic and aggressive. not my cup of tea.
  4. wtf is "high-tech" psytrance??? some goofy new term similar to 'neo-fullon?' afaik, nano records and 3d vision don't have much in common musically.. though I do like Headroom - I think they make good old kickin psytrance, nothing particularly high-tech about it..
  5. umm.. I think you misunderstood my message. and btw, no I don't really like anything Infected made after Classical Mush.. just for the record. but Misted Muppet style is very similar to both old Infected and Talpa. so I don't think it's very original. And what makes Misted full-on and Talpa not full-on? I don't think of either of them as full-on. but let's not get stuck on terms - Misted album just isn't nearly as good as Talpa's. It's cheesy, overly dramatic, and not very psychedelic. Honestly, I can't stand the damn thing, full-on or not. okee.. done.
  6. dude, ever hear of Infected Mushroom? and Talpa? I had Talpa's album a full year before Misted Muppet came out. so i don't think they created anything original at all.
  7. well, i wouldn't go that far - but i do think there are a lot of new, innovative artists and styles coming up - it seems to be a transition year, and makes me very excited. a whole new wave of extreme psychedelic (that will leave the so-called "dark" psy ashes behind) will blow your mind. i also foretell the return of kicking ol' 'psytrance' - stuff like that v/a wild rumpus, metal sharon, solid psychedelic music, no more cheese. and the return of progressive - a bit darker and techier, hopefully.. woot!
  8. Misted Muppet - From the Legend is one of the most overrated albums in history, imo. I've liked everything they released until then, but everything since then has been sub-par. Photos of Ghosts doesn't count since it's actually a track from 2003 that didn' get released till this year.
  9. Penta - Funraiser Nystagmus Bodhisattva 13:20 - Ancient Future v/a - Boldly Audio (sanaton recs) so far..
  10. on the topic of spy-trance, anyone remember this one? http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/had/had1cd011.html whatever happened to that guy?? also, Necton - Beverly Hills Cop rmx isn't so bad.
  11. amen one of the best comps from 2004. i ought to go give this one another listen.
  12. that's a remix of a cover of a cover of the original.. which is from the 60s, it appears. Tainted Love must be one of the most covered songs in history.
  13. Rinkadink - Balojax rmx Hujaboy - Defractal Project 33 vs DJ Fred - Tales from Alaska Onnomon - Son of a Beat Monger GMS - Juice (the first 12 times I heard it) Menog - 007 (Audialize rmx) - or is it Audialize - 007 (Menog rmx)? Cosmosis - Just Say No rmx Logic Bomb - Deuchland eh, there are lots and lots i can't remember any track that didn't start getting on my nerves after I played it a few times, though.. so need to find new ones all the time. it's like an addiction. gimme more, more more.
  14. i've played all over the US and East Coast, but never been to Atlanta. what's your email? or hit me up at dmtree at gmail dot com. let's talk.
  15. oh shit, you're right, it's c+c music factory, I think I even used to have that album on tape. Africa Shox remix is decent. It's been around for a while. lol @ the Bangles remix.. but it's too umm.. 'feel-good' to be psy... Abnormal has made some decent remixes.. dark and tweaky and not so cheesy as the rest.
  16. did you catch the samples from '2 Unlimited - Gonna Make you sweat' on Orion's latest album? Track 6 if I remember correctly. it's hilarious.
  17. oh lol, i am not blind, i just read the review you posted on isratrance, without the note. thanks for clearing it up though.
  18. Vicious Spiral - Britney Spears (Crack mix)
  19. nice. has it been reissued? Planet Dog was a sweet label..
  20. some sweet tracks on that v/a. need more like it. Funky psy is so hard to come by..
  21. didn't like this one much, one of the weaker comps released this year. imo. btw, is this DJ Mars from Psynews? I doubt it, judging by the style.
  22. like I said, you guys need to clean your ears. maybe then the samples will fall in place. hehehe i'll shut up now, since it's obviously a waste of time to argue about this one. and please don't get too offended, i tend to have pretty strong opinions about music. it's not personal.
  23. lol.. this is getting quite comedic. comparing Penta's masterpiece to a compilation that's mediocre at best.. am I missing something here?
