what ever happened to Mittelstandskinder Ohne Strom (M.O.S.)
RTP replied to chris's topic in General Psytrance
check out their track Fire on Goa-Head 18 ... that one is totally awesome it makes me wonder ... if they could produce such nice tunes, why didn't they make a new album? -
it's fast walking, with 2 sticks, you know ... I call it pseudo-jogging so progressive music would fit best... no ambient for my mother, she generally doesn't like that too much unless it's Ishq maybe
-
lol, that was my favourite track like 8 years ago! I loved it! I even found the maxi single of it in some store. I guess that's eurodance though and not trance. Just like Mauro Picotto. Omagawd, I was such a big Picotto fan back then ... Pulsar, Iguana, Komodo, Proximus, Like This Like That ... I loved 'em. But then I switched to goa ... Back to Cali was the last tune I heard of, then I wasn't interested at all anymore... And DJ Quicksilver! That was totally eurodance. And I was big fan aswell

A really, really good question! Actually an old one ... isn't there another thread about this hidden somewhere? I remember one. It got very silent about them indeed though. That's a pity, they were great! -
I could never afford it. Yeah, seriously. Can't afford to spend like 15 Euros on a christmas present (if you even get a CD for that). I can afford to spend like 15 Euros on like ALL xmas presents I give out! A pity, yes But I could give away one of the CDs I don't like that much. I want to bring my mother to go nordic walking, maybe she will start if I give her some sound. Eventually I'll do that (if I didn't find another present).

Audiomatrixx - Variations has a great cover aswell

And yet another successful trade with Matt here. Everything went perfect as always. The condition of the goods is excellent! A totally recommended trader.

What track do you listen to before you go to bed?
RTP replied to Malevol3nt's topic in Other Electronica
If I listen to anything before going to bed (or while going to bed), it's never psy stuff, it's what I call "medieval ambient". Mostly it's old Mortiis or Wongraven... -
albums or eps that we all think are milestones in the psy scene
RTP replied to NEMO.BOFH's topic in General Psytrance
Ott - Blumenkraft Say what you want, I don't like it. The first song is good, yeah. But the rest not IMO. Never understood the fuss that chill fans made about this one... -
it was a great album indeed, but then there came so much other ethno chill with indian singing samples and whatnot that it got generic nowadays I don't listen to this one anymore at all...

What music are you listening to right now?
RTP replied to Sputum Rotgut's topic in General Psytrance
Vibration Three compilation current track: Amorphous - Sector damn good -
that was a good one
-
Carbon Based Lifeforms - Hydroponic Garden ... essential Chill release for sure IMO (I still don't physically own it though) By the way, of all albums mentioned in this thread so far I only physically own 2. And overall 4. Does that say how much of a goahead I am? I dunno...
-
finally somebody addresses it ... I couldn't think about anything else as I read his post ... writing long posts with that pic is counterproductive anyways, yeah, I agree with the mentioning of Solar Fields ... and his newest one won't put an end to the flow either
-
that's a joke, right? please say it's a joke!

It doesn't really matter too much in my case, because I neither have really good monitors nor really good headphones, but overall I'm tending to speakers because I don't wanna ruin my ears with the headphones. Only in the evening I use headphones, I live in a very noisy flat (you can hear the neighbour brushing his teeth), don't want to make people call police at night. Sound-quality wise it differs. The sound system my computer is hooked to is crap, headphone sound is much better in that case, but especially when playing vinyl over my stereo the sound is much, muuch nicer from the speakers than from headphones...

I just got lucky as I bought a ticket for the new year's eve party... They gave me the free CD Materia - Out of Tune because I bought the ticket so early and they had CD sale, so I looked through and found Greed - Greed's Temptation for just 5 euros. I guess I can't go wrong with that...

Check out the track Uthul Khulture by Sephiroth, I bet you'll like that one. You can find a sample of it there: http://www.coldmeat.se/sounds/sounds_sephiroth.html Unfortunately the guy is rather producing dark ambient, so the rest of the stuff might not exactly be what you search for. But it's the only hint I know... Good tribal industrial is what I'm thirsty for aswell, but I don't know much in that sector.

IMO Eat Static are one of the rather well known goa/psy bands because they're already around for so long ... but anyway. They just don't get that many bookings outside the UK. That is some sort of a "syndrome" if I may say so ... Banco De Gaia has the exact same ... lots of playing in UK, not much outside... But that's kinda the same with every band ... Astral Projection do play a lot in Israel for example... But yes, I definitely have to come over to the UK for one of these big festivals someday. I imagine that they have a very characteristic atmosphere which won't be found elsewhere... and btw, I bet Mars was on that party in Paris the videos are from ... anybody spot him?
-
great videos... hell, I gotta see Merv playing before he abandons the project altogether! Eat Static is very high up my "must see live before death" list! The crap is, he's mostly playing in the UK. Like on 24th January for example ... Brighton, how am I supposed to get there? I don't have the money for a flight ticket and whatnot, I could barely afford the entry if he was playing here near my doorstep!

Totschläger That cover is actually hilarious ... and doesn't it show the burning down of the loveparade in the background?

Kincajou (Wild Monkey Fever Remix)!!! but "Kara-Kum Edit" from his Myspace is actually FREAKIN' awesome ... almost better than all other stuff I know from him, that melody is soooo ... enlightening
