  1. I absolutely agree. Yard Hippie's right. We do have a subculture, but ours is more diluted (because of the reason stated above ... and also because of other reasons ... for example I don't dress like a typical goahead myself and I'm also not that much of a shiva/ganesha/hippie fan). And it's not so "hardcore" as others (since tolerance is one of the main pillars in our "codex" if I may say so). But yes, we do have it. I always am reminded of this when I bring new people to it ... they make big eyes and go "wtf" mode
  2. that's easy for me: S-RANGE 2001: freakin' great album! Space: freakin' great album! and all legal and illegal follow-ups: freakin' great aswell! And actually this guy has no bad track. Old stuff great, new stuff great. So much for that. Of all albums I own, these two (three actually ) are easily the most played ones. I just love that music. There is no album "stronger" than these.
  3. don't worry, my heart is (quite) okay I just get the impression it beats fast. Which it doesn't do. And that makes me nervous. I got a sorta biorhythm in me which is disturbed by the fast bpm.
  4. oh please don't remind me... I HATE IT! The music, the people, everything. The aggressive mood. It's the pure horror. I sound like a gay hippie, but I really feel bad vibes there at gabber fests and also around many people who like to listen to it ... and that makes me feel bad. I need peaceful music ... even darkpsy has a certain peace in it compared to gabber. And I got a neighbour who's blasting this shit quite often ... and I hear every kick of it! It's horrible, because such high bpm go on my nerves big time (I always think my heart beats so fast, because you know, the noise through the wall is dampened and sounds just like my heartbeat), which makes it shitty when I have to work something or such. I mean, he's not doing it in the night, so at least he's no assshole ... but still. This stuff makes me aggressive (that's why I don't listen to it) and it could well be that one day I snap and visit him with a baseball bat...
  5. FYI, I just got the news that a new Atrium Carceri album is going to be released soon on Cold Meat Industry. Title will be "Souyuan", release date is the 26th of November...
  6. Sounds interesting... Is this going to be released this year still?

    Prodigy

muchos gracias, Rez I'd only like one with better visual quality ... is there any? ah, I see it's the best for me though... Anything similar (video-wise)? Prodigy doesn't seem to have any

not even remotely Breathe is a great tune, but the ultimately best vidoclip goes to ... *drumroll* ... Smack My Bitch Up! Yeah, definitely and totally. Here it is, as a reminder: http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=j444hBS8PxI
  9. Big fan of Banco de Gaia here aswell I haven't found anything similar though. But that's not so much an issue with the musical style, it rather is an issue with this kind of "inner peace" that swings along in Banco's tunes. It's a kind of peaceful, beautiful, happy, fresh, funny undertone ... but mainly peaceful. That always reminded me of Tibet in some way.
  10. aaah, thanx ... so I better be careful
  11. ups, I thought you hated that track ... but I mistook your review for that of the other guy
  12. Why " " ? Generally yes. But certain tendencies and influences can be deducted. Eventually. You could judge from his own track on that comp by the way
  13. Didn't he compile Ease Division 3 (still don't own it ) and you were not quite blown away by it? Can you judge from that?

Funnily enough I find that MMC somewhat as exhausting as Gappeq. That's why I said it reminded me of it. I get just as deranged in the head when I listen to it for long.
  15. It won't be uptempo, guys ... seriously, Magnus and Ultimae were promising that already before EarthShine got released! It'll be AMBIENT! I only expected that album a little earlier ... because they were talking about it already for so long...
  16. So ... I now really took your advice and wrote him an email The unfortunate result is: there is no tracklist. He doesn't have any and going through all the tracks again would be a bit much. The fourth track, however, is: Matt Rowan - Gold Mine ... in case that helps you; it surely helps me
  17. I also heard a new set of him this year. And although it didn't sound as I expected and I almost missed the old tunes, it was absolutely awesome! I actually tend to like the newer stuff better than the old one, mainly because I have listened to the old stuff a fair lot already. I can't say too much about the album because the samples aren't long, but it generally sounds softer, smoother, more sophisticated in a way than his older stuff. And to me this is good! I'm definitely going to get this. The album cover looks like Transformers? I haven't seen Transformers, but it reminds me a helluva lot of the space ship you are on in Unreal II (in fact that cover could actually be a screenie right out of the game!). Granted, the game was rather weak, the first one was way better, but I'm an insane Unreal fan and I love that there is a reference to these games, even though it might not have been intended. That's just like the cream topping on a cake for me
  18. GAWWWDDAMN! THIS IS THE BEST NEWS OF THE YEAR! Atmos - Tour de Trance. Coming Soon on Spiral Trax. A new Atmos album! Finally, finally, finally the wait is overrr Samples (short though ) and info: http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/spt/spt1cd026.html This has the potential to be this year's top proggy stormer! I mean, just listen to that :posford: AND: 46daz is on it! But for those who knew the track before that was actually clear, wasn't it Psyshop is the only source yet, no Saikosounds, no official info from Spiraltrax. Hope it's not going to end like last time, remember that? But no, this music is far too good, they say it'll come before christmas
  19. Omg, that's an awesome track! Thanks so much for the recommendation. I'm so happy I checked it out... Indeed, 16 minutes. Wow. I never thought Timo Maas was that good. I knew a girl who used to like it, but that was some years ago and back then I didn't like it (and now I don't have her phonenumber ... what a crap )... Point is, Timo will come to Vienna this saturday! This can't be just a coincidence. Disadvantage: I have no money and other plans What would you say? Is Timo's other style like that? I listened a bit on his Myspace and I only like the Mutant Clan stuff besides Rockets and Ponies of course. He'll play in a quite fancy club, you know. What can I expect?
  20. Hey, this sounds good! Thanks for telling
  21. For me it still is... Matenda - Smiri Se Even CBL can go hide against this song on the headphones after a good run! Warm wind in the hair, sunset, fresh air ... it's like somebody opens windows in your soul and lets in a fresh breeze. Wonderful!
  22. I don't really dig the track. The last 4 minutes are not bad though... As of now, it reminds me of a recently dead austrian politician who used to not only dance with Kadafi's son, hehehe ... a worthy requiem for him.
  23. Hey, guys, I'm searching for a tracklist for this great set aswell! So many good tracks I don't know... I know track 5, that one is D-Nox & Beckers - One Shot. But I'd especially like to know the one before that. What is it? Anybody can help? (yeah, that's a bump ... but I at least contributed one )
  24. Ooooh yeah, that's what I want aswell ... I'm a huge fan of Sephiroth/Ulf Söderberg! Here is a full song of him However, I haven't found any other artist that makes as good music in that style as him. Gotta wait till he gets a new album released... There is Oorchach - Chtonikka which I stumbled across lately. This release is industrial-focused, but it has a bit of this gothic-mystical majestic atmosphere floating around at times that I knew only from Sephiroth before ... maybe you want to check it out And in the industrial sector you can find artists who combine tribal elements with industrial/dark ambient sounds. Check out Tzolk'in for example ... maybe you like...
  25. Yeah, you can see how tastes differ ... but I find it cool that you chose it to be the 13th one even though you weren't really intending that yes, yes, YES! like I said, +100 to that ... Sephiroth (aka Ulf Söderberg, that's him too ... check it out if you don't know) is really awesome! some samples there: http://www.coldmeat.se/sounds/sounds_sephiroth.html
