good try, but not really. it's on the inside and not on the cover with spiritual healing. little tip: the release is an EP and the artist(s) is/are even more well known than the muses rapt.

imo the later part is the better one. i like my trance at 140-150bpm and my techno/tekno at 180-190bpm @gnome also check out banditos. they are pretty similar to the sound of that video. while your at it also have a look at gotek. sounds a bit different, but a lot of his tracks are classics at freeparties around here.

around here: yes! if anyone is talking about "electro" he usually means electro house. @nemo, re hardcore it's tekno (or freetekno or hard techno or however you want to call it) which is a subgenre of techno. just a bit faster (and imo better) than the commercial stuff (for which RTP posted a really nice expample) for hardcore look here.

sounds quite like electro/house this is techno to me i have voted trance. listened to a lot of freetekno/acid techno in my early days, but after a few years i grew tired of the raw, mechanical sound of techno and prefer the flowing, floating feeling that trance is all about.

overbloody flood does have trance like song structure but a very distinct goa feel to it. genetic - transmission also uses a lot typical trance elements, but surely is goa. it gets really hard to draw a line when we get to union jack though. cactus even uses the typical psy-kick. still the whole album has a very light, transparent feel so i'd rather classify that as acid trance rather than goa. it gets even worse when listening to cygnus x - synchomism. it has a rather progressive, trance-like structure but just as much goa feel as overbloody flood. why is it not considered goa?

something like khetzal - djaningar or d5 - flow or electrypnose - chillinberlin. aes dana and asura are also nice for that purpose.

i don't have the tracks you have listed, but Ra - Time Current sounds pretty much like good euphoric regular trance to me. 4Voice3 - Eternal Spirit (Northern Mix), Cygnus X and Poltergeist/Union Jack might be worth looking into. the latter if you don't mind a TB303. i take it you know the classics like age of love, we came in peace and amphetamine already...

absolutely! also my all time favourite. vitan is also very close to the top (listened to 3 times when/after reading this thread ), along with a lot of D5 and other tracks people have mentioned in the thread. i really don't get V.T.O.L however...

i take everything back! i just came home form one of the worst psy parties i've ever been to. the music was 100% fullon with every third track a pop remix, every third track with IM style vocals and the rest 'generic', bearable fullon. no one tripping and drunk people falling all over the place. Bring on the darkpsy! i understand now the 'hate' towards fullon here on the forum the darkpsy crowd is loving and caring compared to that.
