  1. Another non-psy track with superbly used voice samples:
  2. Reading this thread almost brought a tear to my eye. So nostalgic.
  3. Besides those already mentioned: Baraka Inception Rum Diary Waking Life A Scanner Darkly The Big Lebowski Being John Malkovich
  4. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=slD7rKMtdLM "She says, quote: I was looking at my friend Linda… Suddenly feathers popped out on her skin. Her nose curved into a beak. She had an eagle’s face. I looked at my boyfriend Johnny, he was turning into a bird too! So was Linda’s boyfriend. We were at Central Park Zoo. I couldn’t move, I wanted to cry but no tears would come. “Oh God” I heard myself yell, “People really are animals!”. I started laughing hysterically but in the inside I didn’t feel funny. I started to run away from the others through Central Park until I stopped under a stone bridge. Johnny kept following me. After a lot of time I went up on the bridge. Johnny always had been my source of security. He said that LSD was brutal but that it wouldn’t hurt me. He said that I’d see beautiful colours and hear musical notes but I never did. Instead I saw awful things, people looked like monkeys, cracks in sidewalks became big crevasses you could fall into. Finally after about 8 hours the drug started to wear off. I was depressed for days afterwards."

  6. I work as a KAM for one of the biggest IT distributors in the world. Corporate whore.
  7. All the obvious ones have already been mentioned, so lemme throw a joker into the pool. The Digital Dance Of Shiva http://www.discogs.c...a/release/50058 ... Another one, that holds special meaning to me is this one: The classic Boyd In The Void http://www.discogs.c.../release/163472 ... No, but seriously. I have more than 50 compilations rated 5/5 in my Discogs-collection so it's impossible to pick just one.
  8. Are you going to make some shiny crash-barriers less shiny?
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=newOIGkwmrs I just revisited this today and I gotta say, it has aged alot better than I had anticipated. Classic stuff from the classic age of progressive trance.
  10. I'm only counting movies which opened (or should have opened) in Danish cinemas in 2011. 2011 was a pretty weird year, as I did not see a single 6/6-movie. Hanna [2011] 5/6 06. Enter The Void [2009] 5/6 07. The Adjustment Bureau [2011] 5/6 08. 127 Hours [2010] 4½/6 09. Melancholia [2011] 4½/6 10. Pearl Jam Twenty [2011] 4½/6 11. Super 8 [2011] 4½/6 12. Margin Call [2011] 4½/6 13. Stake Land [2010] 4½/6 14. Limitless [2011] 4½/6 15. Inside Job [2010] 4½/6 16. Midnight in Paris [2011] 4½/6 17. Never Let Me Go [2010] 4/6 18. Trolljegeren [2010] 4/6 19. Contagion [2011] 4/6 20. 11. ^ Pik er Gud! Translation: The guy on the right is a Danish therapist who became famous for being naked all time proclaiming "penis is god".
  12. I've always been fond of electronic music and I had a long stint with the RaverMeister, Techno Traxx, etc-series before turning into more psychedelic realms. One of my first memories of pure psychedelic music is way back in 1994/1995 when a buddy of mine played me some Man With No Name: http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSrNMGvd9bY I was hooked instantly. It kicked the shit out of alle the crappy, commercial dance/trance I was listening to at the time and I soon started digging deeper. Some early favorites included Hallucinogen, Koxbox, MFG, Astral Projection and all the rest of the usual suspects. A local favorite from a couple of years later: http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=SLYbo67zh0A ^ This was a huge, commercial hit in the clubs here in Aalborg back in the days. After I discovered the internet and in particular Psynews my love affair with goa and psychedelics exploded. And the rest is history.
  13. I grabbed this screenshot for another forum a couple of months ago:
