Tsotsi
Just now, Themaniac said: Check the review section. You can then pick accordingly That's how i get my album info. If you like comps then this year/month has been great for them. Check:- Timewarps Va - Lotus, Mamomams Va - 303 Syndroms Global Sects Va - Shambala Geomagnetics Va - Call of Goa 3 Otherwise I recommend Ephedra, Veasna (haven't listened yet but it's Neogoa Records), Lectro Spektral Daze, Ufomatka, Ubar Tmar, Median Project, E mantra, Unknownium and the Jayex album Soul Echoes. I'd start with Jayex and Unknownium then move from there.

Oopie
Maybe my album 'Surrounded By Surreality'... it's more forest/goa hybrid though so it might not suite you if you're looking for classic goa only.
Jaza
Morphic Resonance wins this year with his manic journey LP so aptly named 'Perplexity'... Not everyone's cup of tea though. The JBC Arkadii album is fantastic. It really sets the standard for those wanting to modernise goa trance without losing the essence. Timewarp Records have released sooooo much music, but the winner of the many new school goa releases this year is definitely Global Sect's Shambhala. A really strong single disk compilation. The new Smuds album is amazing too. I guess you call it forest, but it's really a broad range of foresty, atmospheric psy that goes weird places without making you uncomfortable. A-Grade song-writing coupled with decent if unspectacular production. I'm a big, big fan. I also quite like the new Archaic LP if you're in to your darker, heavier stuff. It's great! Everybody looking for a fresh take should check it out imho. For me the Ufomatka, Smuds, Morphic Resonance and Veasna albums have been the best new ouput this year. The Etnica re-issue is absolutely fantastic as well (duh) and both the long-overdue gangguru .release as well as the compilation with tracks of Ray Castle and collaborators showcase just how good this music was in the nineties. Blubber
Deviant Species - Advent of the Blue Radula --- great night time psy with a theme Captain Hook - Origin --- believe it or not, some nice proggy acid grooves in here Igor Swamp - Akrabadabra --- a strong contender for the Suomi Hall of Fame Nangijala - Fermented Behaviour --- came out of the nowhere, strong emotional Zenon stuff, my favourite 2018 release Juno Reactor and Infected Mushroom --- both releases are typical JR / IM, love 'em or hate 'em Fobi - This is not a test EP --- surprising catch, give this a chance if you're into deep and melodious darkpsy Abraxas (Cosmosis + Quantica) - Inner Worlds --- haven't heard yet, might be great Digital Reprints Releases --- strong work, big respect, unfortunately i was late with Cosmosis' release (any chance to get it somewhere???) Youth & Gaudi --- you can't go wrong with them LSD releases, i also missed the LP version dr trippy - Bhang! --- fun album, self-described as Punjabi Swamp Music, i really like this genre

Blubber
100 copies made, exclusively made for the pledging people, right? 4 sellers at Discogs atm selling it off for ridiculous prices - man, i can't get used to the thinking that people pledge for limited releases for only reselling them expensively

In order to minimise that on my projects each pledger is allowed only 1 copy but there is little else I can do. On the other hand the buyers can do something, by not buying in ridiculous prices
Padmapani
i just (re)discovered geoglyph - geolinguistic. it's a psydub album that bandcamp suggested to me after i bought globular and they were damn right with that suggestion. but somehow i forgot about it and had the files sitting on my hard drive until now. what a pleasant surprise — i'm now for the first time listeing to the full album and it's definitely one of the top downtempo albums of last year — probably even better than globular.
