I guess you'll also fidn this release interestin::

Scone - Maze (2006)

Scone's "Maze" is the very first release of this new project.

Scone is a collaboration between Reimer Eising (Kettel)

and brothers Don & Roel Funcken (Funckarma/Quench).

Maze was made entirely out of musical interaction via

the internet, between march 2003 - oct 2005.

Scone represents the lush harmonic melodies and

kindness of Kettel, kindly, subbed and packed by the

bass, beats and acidic twists of the Funcken force.

Very chilly album & emotional melodies accompanied by subtle IDM breaks & rhytms..

I get error on both links .. :(

btw this is also an interesting release:

Ilkae - Pistachio Island

Nice concept as well, this album is composed of 45 tracks that are supposed to be played in random order (shuffled).

And I see they have also released an album in 2006.

  • 2 weeks later...

Checked out the most recent Kattoo release and it's really, really good... Recommended!

Any similar to it?

I think his first one is a bit better (Places).

Similar?Beefcake. His previous project (he wasn't alone tho).

Much better than Kattoo.

Their best releases IMO :

heres one IDM great track by Cosmosis - Moonshine

Sir, with all due respect, I think you got things mixed up. A lot. Or you simply used the wrong thread, or the wrong forum, for the matter of fact. In my music book, "Moonshine" is as far away from IDM as Michael Jacksons's "Stranger in Moscow"...

you sure have to check MUM - very nice band from Iceland

also there is a groundbreaking album from Alva Noto & Ryuchi Sakamoto

Max Richter - very nice

Flanger early works - cool IDM jazz

check Matthew Herbert's works - not IDM in particular, but very close to it (his wife's Danni Siciliano's solo work - veery nice and more IDMish)

Murcof - a canadian producer - a journey through minimal IDM flavoured with academical music samples

someone already mentioned Yagya..

also :

Ruxpin

Tipper

FusedMark

dead beat (IDM/minimal/dub)

and many many more - a large genre indeed ;)
