Spotted Peccary Music continues to expand its O3E imprint/sub-label with the release of ONE, the full-length album debut from DeeperNET. Blending extreme influences from completely opposite ends of the electronic music spectrum such as Goa, Downtempo, EDM, and Psybient, the album offers well over an hour’s worth of music across eight tracks that fuse more aggressive electronic tones and percussion with the delicate atmospherics of ambient. Intricate rhythms, constantly evolving sequences, and ‘wall of sound’ style electronics propel the listener through a deeper network of cosmic pulses and fluid soundscapes. It's a lot to digest so I'll just try and throw some bullet points at you. This is a dark themed compilation that is free at Ektoplazm. Such a giver that guy. In the beginning while still dark it's more accessible night time full-on. As you get deeper into this it becomes more heavy. Darker. Ending with what can only be described as darkpsy composed while riding a speeding bullet. Flashback sounded crystal clear with great production and who the hell doesn't want more Mario Brothers? Loosing Control didn't, it was steady and monotonous. Quick Turn isn't very quick at almost 10 minutes and while I like it's gurgling style it needs more evolution. Voltage Controlled Freak is mediocre full-on. Mantrance is a really stupid name for this boring track. There is nothing "man" about it unless it's wearing a dirty wife beater while sleeping on the couch watching Beavis and Butthead amidst half empty pizza boxes. Gaia Power really descended into the moaning of a female. And not the good kind. The End doesn't get here fast enough. Filler. Razors & Ice Cream (System Sequence mix)- The original was great from his 2nd album Dead End and this is a worthy remix. Full of power and acid. Dreams- "I think it's become clear that our sinful ways have damaged the boundary between the living and the dead." If you're going do dream, do it big I say. Do you think he went Gameboy first? Amateur. This hits the twilight button with lots of lasers. You like lasers. We Have all the Power is more proper twilight psytrance with acid flying all over the place and bundles of high energy. One of the best here marred only by that painful buildup near the end. Los Viajeros leans a little on the minimal side, but it eventually wakes up and becomes quite psychedelic. Wrong Serenade- "Give her a little serenade, make her feel at home." You wanna make her feel at home ask her what's for dinner. Psychopsomatics- the people behind this one spent too much time trying to manually tune into a radio station. Meh. Pumpen by Mr. Swedish Nightmare Tommy Axelsson keeps it dark with lots of echoing sounds and effects. Good one. Darkness in my room is really dark. If hell had a soundtrack it might sound like this. Power History is comprised of rumbly basses and Artifakt like abrasive sounds. Liked the funky breakbeat. Against the Evil by Box of Evil...what do you think it's gonna sound like? Surprise! It wasn't as evil as I thought it would be. More twilight in style with too many stops and starts. There's still screaming samples in it if you like that sort of thing. Better Stronger Faster- "We have the technology..." Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Not bad darkpsy track at all. Just a Tiny Taste is a spooky and eerie darkpsy-esque track with some haunting strings. Just a small taste of what it would be like to get lost in an insane asylum after the inmates somehow got out. Indigo Patrol is an exercise in speed. This is what someone on cocaine must feel like after 5 espressos. With a rocket surgically placed in his rectum. Super fast with sounds coming at you from all sides. By the time it was over I needed a cool down. Interesting to listen to, but not my cup of tea. I didn't think this was so great. Of course darkpsy ain't exactly my thing. All the comments are overwhelmingly positive, so those posting seem to follow the "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" mantra. Aren't you lucky I don't subscribe to that point of view. Free at Ektoplazm Mdk

Artist: Various Title: The Persistence of Memory Label: Blue Hour Sounds Date: October, 2012 1. Theory Of Big Bang - ONCE UPON A TIME PLAY 2. Post 100 (Ianuaria rmx) - HUX FLUX 3. Crystallised - GAIANA 4. Hypnotic Quality - GIDO AND AVARA 5. Jack The Tripper - AJJA VS FLOOTING GROOVES 6. Outbound - ANTISPIN 7. Hippy Hoop - MARK DAY 8. Motoremoto - PEYO 9. Movements - JARAMOGI AND NAIMA 10. Expecto Patronum - FLOOTING GROOVES When you say Blue Hour Sounds to me I think of two things. The multi-colored EP's and the exceptional Ianuaria Beware of the Fish album. This Italian label specializes in very detailed stuff with the psychedelic factor turned up to 11. So to see them with a new release I think it's fair to say that my expectations were pretty high. Mastered by Braincell (a guy who knows a thing or two about great psytrance) this album is one of storytelling, but without lots of twists and turns. Hypnotic and hallucinogenic, they supply pumping rhythms as the backbone and allow melodies to slither in amidst healthy effects and delay. For the most part it's pretty psychedelic, but I felt it could've benefited from a bit more detail as there were some thin stretches in the tracks. Sometimes it seemed as if it lacked power or wasn't very dynamic. When you set the bar high it's difficult to maintain that level of quality. That said, there are portions where this is extraordinarily deep and involving. Don't know how that last track made the cut though as it didn't fit with the theme of the album. So it's a good comp if not a little disappointing. Not great, but good. GoaStore Beatspace Psyshop Mdk

Artist: Various Title: Pure Planet Label: Kagdila Records Date: July, 2004 1. Shakti - DEEPER IN ZEN 2. The jar - SOLIPTIC 3. Hyper nova - AZRIEL 4. In my world - ESSENTIAL TRIP 5. Flying objects always reach the ground - SNEILA 6. Forest - GOASIA 7. Guetto - GOASIA 8. Paranoid - GOASIA 9. The dreamers guide - SNEILA Yeah, I went old school on you. Wait a minute...that's new school. Old new school. Yeah, I took you to some kind of unfunded learning institution that has old textbooks and one computer in the teacher's lounge running AOL on dial up. Kagdila Records is a USA label and I seem to remember some discussion where artists were unhappy with Mr. Shu-ki Golan. Probably didn't pay them. Great, more reasons to hate the US. Anyway this was an early new school psytrance / goa trance compilation that for me doesn't get started until track number five. Oh there are four tracks before it, but like cold pizza if there's nothing else around I'll eat it. Just not my first choice. Or second. Hmmm....doesn't even rank in my top ten. So that leaves 5 tracks by two projects. Might as well be a Sneila / Goasia EP. Hardly worth paying for a compilation, but I'm a completionist so I did. Flying Objects seemed like a revelation almost a decade ago with it's rolling synthline and at over 10 minutes you're in the clouds for a long time. Forest is pretty good with some quality detail if you listen. I just can't stomach that shanai sounding lead. Moving on to Ghetto it's full of sounds that you wouldn't hear on albums today, but it's diversity makes it a treat. The last Goasia track Paranoid is darker with an eerie atmosphere. The final Sneila track is a hands down growler of a beast. Dark and bubbly with undulating goa fire! So there you go. Not a classic by any means, but it's an early arrow in the quiver of the blossoming new school movement. Psyshop Beatspace Juno Download Beatport Mdk

Remastered Controller LAMAT AND HAN SOLO 5. New Technologies LAMAT AND HAN SOLO 6. Mind Control Neuro Transmitor LAMAT AND HAN SOLO 7. The Resistance LAMAT AND ASTROMOVIL 8. Magnetic LAMAT AND INFERENCE Who's ready for some full on? Please? Not even for a twinkie? C'mon everyone, we can do this. Maybe. Lamat is Marcos A. Sánchez from Mexico and I'll tell you that his debut Master Control is still one of my favorite full-on albums. Chock full of melodies and pumping beats it was on my playlist for many months. Then I kinda lost track of what he was doing, but now I want to see if he still brings the heat. On this his fifth album most of the tracks he works with other artists. What I will tell you, is that it is full-on to the bone with tons of sci-fi movie samples. With the exception of the last track they all seem to be in the 145 bpm range which makes it hard to find differences in the tracks. This would've sounded great 6 or so years ago, but now it seems full of cheese. And some samples... "You're gonna have to show me what to do. What's your favorite number? Mine's 69. Would you like me to show you?" It's sh*t like this that makes me cringe. Hearing people say corny things during sex is not what I want to listen to. And I didn't even include the whole sample. F*cking horrible. Know who likes that? Immature high school kids or men that won't grow up. So while everyone matures it seems that Marcos has not and psytrance has passed him by. We've all had that friend who lives in the past doing the stuff we thought was funny back in the day. Only now it's not funny. It's sad. "Oh, the humanity!" Someone tell Marcos that his career just went down over New Jersey. Psyshop Beatspace Goastore Mdk

Romeodark – Shadeflower Album: Shadeflower Artist: Romeodark Genre: Darkpsy, Forest, Psycore Size: 165MB License: CC Price: Free and Donations Track List: 01 - My Travel Into The Deep Sadness 02 - Snow Walkers 03 - Terra Of Cold 04 - Aural Hologram 05 - Crystal Save U 06 - Good Bye Night 07 - Hospitality 08 - Hysteria 09 - Intro 10 - Psynesthesia After listening to a lot of Psytrance, the typical intro with an expected forthcoming beat gets old after a while. I am always searching for that extra bit of spice to be added, craving a different mixture of heart throbbing ambience to start the mood. First impressions are sometimes very important, especially for an album meant to introduce doors of opportunity, opportunities that can lead listeners into a very rewarding journey. Romeodark – Shadeflower will delight any psychedelic enthusiast, building a series of wonderful tones and a mixture of light and dark to bring you a slowly building forest sound set. The beat keeps coming and going, accompanied by constantly changing, yet harmonic paces. It is easy to get lost in the music, and it will make you smile with a nice touch of euphoria. True forest is learned from experience rather than definition, as described by Ektoplazm. It has taken me a while to truly understand what that means, but this album has helped me understand that its more than the BPM and music theory. It has to do with the journey. Its about how you can close your eyes and climb through every dark and light corner of your mind as the vibrations in your ears twist and turn your reality into a deep, subconscious self-realization. It can take a while for this to happen, but this album is a definite must for anyone searching for this. I can feel myself growing to understand more and feel more. It opens minds. The composition is extremely unique. There is more than just dark beat patterns. There are melodies passing through every minute, offering a multitude of emotions and expressions. From the artist, in my perspective, I can feel his travels through depression. Walking through snow, staring into seemingly nothingness while trying to search for hope, only to find confusion and chaos. It is almost as if he is begging for others to listen and feel what he is. What words can not describe, his music can embrace. It is certainly up to the listener to interrupt what all of it means, but the great thing is it can mean anything. All in all, it simply causes you to feel… well, anything. The artist plants a seed into our minds, and then it explodes into a pretty awesome creation. Diversity at its finest is sewn into every stitch, neatly putting together a colorful and complex organism. This singularity, this album, is one of those “top of the charts” but “underrated masterpieces” that you have got to slow down and experience. Every piece is vastly different from one another, ranging from 150BPM to 200BPM. when Jellyfish Recordings say his style is like no other, they really do mean it. Download this right now and get a mouth watering taste of true psychedelic juiciness. 10/10 Download here on Ektoplazm (MP3, FLAC, WAV) - Review by FatKidWitaJetPak (Nick Sumbles) - Special Thank to Ektoplazm for the download bandwidth.

Artist: CIMI Title: White World Bridger Label: Furthur Progressions Records Cat: FUP1CD002 Format: CD Release date: Out now! Buy on CD here: http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/fup/fup1cd002.html **Soon also out as digital download!** CIMI's debut album 'White World Bridger' is the result of two hard-working years trying to find the right balance between innovative and classic, deep, bouncy progressive trance. Behind the project is Marcello, also known as M-Theory (Alchemy Records). Up to today Marcello's two projects have contributed to the psytrance scene with more than 60 releases and 2 albums with some of the most recognized labels including Alchemy, Furthur Progressions, Neurobiotic, Plusquam, Free-Spirit, Digital Nature, Synergetic, Solar-Tech, Antu, Blacklite, Headstick and many more. The album title is a contribution by maestro Gaudi (Six Degrees Records). Marcello has had the honour to remix one of his tracks as M-Theory. It is during their studio sessions that Gaudi made the link between Marcello's new project name and its meaning. Cimi is a sign in the Mayan Calendar which is loosely translated in English as 'white world bridger'. Each track was crafted to reflect Marcello's taste for progressive trance, from less melodic to more layered sounds on a backdrop of psychedelic landscapes. A very versatile producer, the album doesn't fail to show Marcello's ability in covering a wide spectrum of genres from full-on psytrance to typical progressive. The quality of sound is at the forefront of his production, hence the choice of talented sound engineer Ido Ophir (aka Domestic) with regards to album mastering. The result is delightful to the ear and will take the listener through a multi-coloured journey of high quality tunes. Tracklist 1. Kind of Sirius 2. The Flying Scotsman feat. Dj Hamish 3. Artist: Loud / Loud & Domestic Title: Pipeworm / 303 Tool EP Label: TIP Records Date: January, 2013 1. Pipeworm (Loud &Domestic Remix) 2. 303 Tool - Loud "The words mana from heaven actually means mushrooms from heaven." Mushrooms make everything better. Ahh...the first review of a new year. It's like virgin snow or, well...a virgin. Thanks to the Artist News and Labels Announcements forum this caught my attention. And what we have here is something quite psychedelic. Loud (Israeli duo Eitan Reiter & Kobi Toledano) & Domestic (Ido Ophir) take on a track from the legendary Simon Posford that first appeared on the 2006 compilation God Save the Machine. Beatport says it was made in 2009, but how could that be if it's on a compilation from 3 years earlier? Unless they were on some Marty McFly sh*t. It's pumping with deep bass drops and oscillating synth waves. Sonic manipulation and tempo changes that makes you question just what was in that teacup that guy with the stupid f*cking hat gave you. 303 Tool features the revered instrument of the Gods, growling to life with a house like hi-hat and soul clap. It scratches that itch that seems to be just out of reach. Nice EP to start off the year. Beatport Mdk

Artist: Orca Title: Computer Action EP Label: Planet B.E.N. Records Date: February, 2013 1. Computer Action 2. Fizzy Lifting Drinks Orcas...pfffft what do they know about computers? Mr. Fists of Fury Alon Lifer is back with a brief 2 track EP. I liked his album, but that was 5 years ago. In this hectic what have you done for me lately world...what have you done for me lately? Well he showed some love for the Beastie Boys as the first track is full of samples from the famous project. But the rest of the track is a commercial waste amidst stops and starts and galloping bass lines. Fizzy Lifting Drinks takes a great sample by Mr. Gene Wilder (Willy Wonka) and then makes a tune that the scene has unfortunately been overly saturated with. Boring full-on with build-ups. Throw it on the pile with the others. Back to the drawing board. Psyshop Beatport Mdk

Artist: Tickets Title: The Slayer of the Jabberwocky EP Label: Planet B.E.N. Records Date: June, 2012 1. Trial of Life 2. Smash 3. Tum Tum Tree 4. The Ingredient "I...am...the lord...of...darkness!" Remember when Timelapse came out back in 2006 and just blew the doors off of everything, firmly positioning South African psytrance at the top of the pyramid? Not like they needed any help, but man it just seemed like that corner of the world kept releasing smash after smash of dark melodies and thunderously pumping music. As you can tell from the above sample this is darker and I suppose more cinematic in scope. Evil terms in the title alone dictate that. You don't really want to know a slayer (I used to be a slayer of Twinkies) and the Jabberwocky in Alice in Wonderland was frightening. I cannot confirm this, but it seems as if there is a Principles of Flight influence on this EP. Symphonic strings, medieval vibes and somewhat of a story to be told mark this release. The harpsichord sound in Tum Tum Tree made me smile and harkened back to old Talpa machinations. It's different than his albums past, but his talent and acid is still evident. Whereas the older stuff was four on the floor get the f*ck outta the way, this is more detailed and subtle. What was once a brawler is now a surgeon in the ring. Oh he can still smash your face, but he likes to toy with you first. And isn't it the quiet ones you have to watch out for? Beatport JunoDownload AudioJelly Psyshop Mdk

Okay here we go! after one month of rest our label is ready to start the spring/summer release craze, and why not starting this new schedule with a bang? This is the debut single of our night-psy act Damnation, featuring darker and edgier baselines and acid synths in the original mix; tweaked and transformed into a dark-prog tune in the Nevarakka remix, it now comes in an additional flavor. This is just a little preview of his upcoming album "Art Of Destruction", so stay tuned for the news! http://soundcloud.com/zombsterrecords/damnation-lsd-bomb-single http://i1.sndcdn.com/artworks-000043906647-8w1upv-original.jpg
