  1. I recorded this live hardware jam a few days ago, it's all sequenced on hardware and recorded right off the mixer, with a little bit of post eq and compression.. I have a video as well later on the post. It's kinda psybreaks-y, kind of new age big beat, I dunno, hope you enjoy it. 85 BPM. Yeah it takes a bit to get started.

  7. My brother is doing a full Ironman Triathlon tomorrow, so I figured I'd match his effort (/s) with a 5 1/2 hour mix. When I was conceptualizing this mix, I was heavily inspired by Simon Posford (of Shpongle) after he came to my city a few years ago with an army of psychedelic weapons and blitzkrieged the dance floor for 4 hours. His ability to weave a variety of styles in and out of each other was simply astonishing - like he was a swiss-army knife of psytrance. Channeling Posford, I have selected a kalaeidoscopic spectrum of flavors spanning several genres, styles, and tempos. I wanted to challenge the listener to interpret a variety of shifts in ideas and emotion - as subjects of mad techno experiments, psytrance, and colorful breaks. If you have followed my catalog over the years, you might notice that I double dipped on some of my favorite tunes in the breaks section Flegma - Sundarbans [TesseracTstudio] FLIX - Atonalities in Life [Spiral Trax] Dj Tomsten - Extra deep repaer [Tombstone] Lampé - Crystal Cave [Digital Diamonds] Stoertebeker - Robinson Jr. [Digital Diamonds] A:B:S - Litmus (3ska Remix) [Kiosek] Daäna - Little Animals (Trilingo Remix) [Digital Diamonds] Enertia-sound - Broken Robot [Mistique] Durs - Caravan [Uxmal] Human Element - Evolving [Iboga] Acröfen - Nausea (Trilingo Remix) [Digital Diamonds] Interactive Noise - Rewire (Durs Remix) [Spin Twist] Karlos Rush - Lisergik Lab [Speedsound] Jon Bovi - Wad Morld [Madabeats] Gunslinger - Mystic [Open Flame] Meat Katie & Dylan Rhymes - Roll Player (Hedflux Remix) [Lowering The Tone] Sphera - Micro Poetry [Dacru] Human Element - No Rush [Iono] DJ Noise - North Star (Sunday Evening Edit) [Voice Noise] Mervit - 360 Degrees [Power House] Etherica - Deep Feelings [Sting] Futura Music - Bealtaine [Furthur Progressions] Bionik Vokolder - Shiva Tribe [Speedsound] John 00 Fleming - We Close Doors (One Million Toys Remix) [JOOF] 4000 KROMOS - Chemical Punks [Speedsound] ManMadeMan - Do You Believe in UFOs? The first part quite conveniently wraps the techno/psytrance bit up at exactly the 3 hour mark, and then the last 2.5 hours (part 2) are breaks. https://soundcloud.com/ziptnf/sets/relative-eternity Image source: boxtail Download the whole thing here: Ziptnf - Relative Eternity (5:33:14) 731MB ~320kbps

    VA - Porta Apertus

Title: Porta Apertus Artist: Various Label: Portal Borealis Records Date: Feb 2018 Tracklist:- 1. MightyOak - Blinking Into Nothingness (07:08) 2. Wattsun - Morphosis (05:44) 3. Drumspyder - Vlashko Horo (Kousk Remix) (04:43) 4. Fat Elvis & Fat Pat - Fat Pelvis (04:06) 5. Alyag - OptiMystic (04:36) 6. Metadream - Abyss (05:53) 7. npc89 - Time (04:04) 8. Fractal Frequencies - Embracing Darkness (08:05) Keep it smooth, keep it psychedelic, keep it groovy. This is the mantra I get from this compilation. ranging across a series of psychedelic genres Portal Borealis have brought us a listening sensation. They've also put themselves on Tsoti's radar and opened me up to atlas 3 other albums from them. Each song is wildly different from the last and showcases absolute talent. Away we go Blinking Into Nothingness: A beautiful start and introduction to the album. The song progressing into deep dubby atmospheres that are all to easy to be lost in Morphosis: An emotional instrumental groove quickly envelopes you as you get drawn down into your amygdala. the instruments really are beautiful and exquisitely designed. I get filled with a mixture of introspective thoughts as the song progresses. Vlashko Horn (Kousk Remix): A thick tribal intro turns into a thick tribal bassy thang. The organic sounds are wonderful, the high's have me clicking along while the lead has me swaying. A perfect track for the jungles of the amazon, a trip down the nile or a dark night in the Rockies. A favourite on the track. Fat Pelvis: Fat Elvis & Fat Pat combine names to bring us Fat Pelvis. A dark dubby dreamscape that'll send chills through you as you walk home alone at 3 in the morning. Wear a jumper and thermals for this one. OptiMystic: Lovely track name that brings the mood back up with an absolute banger of psychedelic influenced drum and bass... The only drum and bass Tsotsi likes. This track is energy from start to finish. another favourite. Perfect for Street fighter influenced battles against your mortal enemy. Abyss: Metadream brings us an energy charged dark track. Psychedelic as all hell. Time: I gotta disagree with the premise. From the moment we are born our body starts to live. We open ourselves up to experiences and stimuli that we have the choice to engage with and grow from. Still, very relaxing track with lovely piano work and subtle scratching, the final vocal sample is uplifting like the rest of the track. love it. Embracing Darkness: a slower more ambient outdo that cools you down and leaves you in a complete state of mellow rest. The vocals are lovely, the instruments are lit what more could you want. All in all I can't recommend this compilation enough. It's variety of tracks stands out and carries you along for a complete start to finish listening experience. The track placement is well considered and appreciated. With a Name Your Price attached you really have nothing to lose. https://portalborealis.bandcamp.com/album/porta-apertus

Kukan Dub Lagan – Babylon Sight Release info: Mystic Sound Records is happy to welcome you in the world of Ethneomystica – a very special place where ethnic rhythms meet modern instruments! The fifth chapter of the ongoing mystical story is opened for diving into the space of the most actual downtempo music. Magic dub from the sophisticated fairy tale opens the compilation and goes deeper then. Melancholic ‘Opium’ adds some ‘frailty of the life’ feeling – check out its zenithal nothingness vibes. It becomes the whitest canvas ever for the broken beat and peace settling tunes, which come further. If it were an audio cassette, Naturelement remix would be the best beginning for side B. Next piece harmonically prepares us for the cheerful sliding, as if a butterfly were soaring above the incandescent sand of a beach in India. By the end, it makes a groovy swing to dance for, and finishes with the rhythmic flight beyond. Compiled by Maiia, the dozen of excellent tracks include music from such talented producers as Zero Cult, Globular, Hinkstep, Maiia, Naturelement, Side Liner, Kukan Dub Lagan, Hypnotizer, Key G, Germind, Chronos, Chillum and Flucturion 2.0. 12 pieces compilation represents the huge diversion of Mystic Sound world, and chillax-pauses timing keeps your interest on and on. Enjoy your staying in the world of Ethneomystica! Download: https://mysticsound.bandcamp.com/album/ethneomystica-vol-5

Artist: Cryomatter Title: Cryomatter Label: Ektoplazm Date: November, 2016 01 - Cryomatter - Intro (150 BPM) 02 - Cryomatter - The Collapse Of Time (150 BPM) 03 - Cybernetika - Physical Limit (135 BPM) 04 - Cybernetika - Chrono Wave (143 BPM) 05 - Cryomatter - Lunar Maze (124 BPM) 06 - Cryomatter - Reassembly (182 BPM) 07 - Xenofish - Shifted Machines (190 BPM) 08 - Xenofish - Twisted Horizon (170 BPM) 09 - Cryomatter - Cold Dark Matter (175 BPM) 10 - Cryomatter - Conversion (200 BPM) 11 - Cryomatter - Decaying Timelines (100 BPM) 12 - Cryomatter - Azure Particles (138 BPM) 13 - Cryomatter - 7-Dimensional Stasis (170 BPM) If you're a fan of science fiction themed psytrance then you know who these guys are. Cybernetika (Lars Goosens) and Xenofish (Christian Becker) have pooled their considerable talents in a Reese's Peanut Butter cup team-up that should have people salivating. Dark and cold foreshadowing a futuristic dystopia the music is Blade Runner on steroids. It begins lightly, but it doesn't last. With mind bending bpms they unleash a percussive onslaught that at times pushes me to my limits. 200 bpms? That's damn near face melting levels! Both of these guys have been quite prodigious when it comes to this type of music, but I can't help but feel that we didn't get the best they had to offer. The music (while superb in places) felt like b-side stuff without much cohesion. It's relentless pounding with a frenetic pace that gets really heavy. Think...thrash metal drum n bass. Even when the tracks weren't punishing (Chrono Wave) it wasn't that interesting. The best bits for me were the short dark-ambient interludes as they contained the most emotion. Tracks like Decaying Timelines. So while I appreciate both artists, I came away from this disappointed feeling an opportunity was missed. Now...a dark ambient album from these two...that's something I would certainly pay for. Free at Ektoplazm

  18. I had a goal almost 3 years ago that I wanted to run a half marathon. There were challenges along the way due to injury, where I had to miss the race I planned to run. Today I completed my first one, and I made this mix for me to listen to while I did it. This mix supplied a steady flow of electric energy that kept me holding a surprisingly fast pace (for myself) all the way through. These are some serious psybreaks, and they will blast out robot battle noises for just under 2 hours. Unfortunately, I ran out of mix before I ran out of race, but that's just something to work on Image credit to the amazing Markus Vogt: markusvogt.deviantart.com Hedflux - Non-Stop (Bad Tango Remix) [Luminus] Frequency Less - Time Paradox (Kwah Remix) [Rune] Roboteknic - Someplace Else [sub Element] Matskie - Mind Science [96kHz] Alter Form - Visionary (Frequency Less Remix) [Rune] Retroid & Alter Form - No Way Out [Ego Shot] Toefinger & Soulah - Reality Tunnel (Too Dusty Remix) [YellowFinger] Optobot - Atomic Energy (48K Remix) [sub Element] Blazer - Obsidian [black Hole] Jiro - Uncertain Future [Ego Shot] Neurodriver - Sidewinder (Sense Datum Remix) [broken Robot] Acidova - Dealer 2 (Optobot Remix) [sub Element] MartOpetEr - Irony (Too Dusty Remix) [broken Robot] Tactical Groove Orbit - Dragon's Hunt (Quadrat Beat Remix) Audiohazard - Searching (Blazer Remix) [Perfecto] X-Dream - The 1st (Far Too Loud Re-fix) [soundcloud] Parallax Breakz - Abyss (ALT-A Remix) [VIM] Mariner - Orca (Retroid Remix) [sweet Science] Jiro - Come Back [Kindcrime] Chris Voro - Chimera [straight Up!] Audio:Hertz - My Enemy (Deformaty Remix) [Kick It] Enjoy! Released by Ektoplazm, this cinematic quartet represents an ideal symbiosis between Cybernetikas dark future visions and One Arc Degrees deep and mystical explorations. Together these artists have composed a soundtrack for a mysterious place: Behind the illusion of a hostile and barren rock floating in space there is another world, bringing ancient memories and dreams to life. Track 2 written and produced by One Arc Degree (Vasilis Kesalidis & Ioannis Konstantios), based on samples from The Ghost Music by A-Duff; Tracks 1, 3 and 4 written and produced by One Arc Degree & Cybernetika (Lars Goossens). Z4thoichi is the project which Javier E.R has been immersed in for the last few years. Javi started listening to 60's and 70's music when he was a child and at a young age he knew it wouldn't stop there. Being a drummer, percussionist, bass player and autodidact, he has always been interested in all types and styles of music from all over the world, imbibing his soul with everything he has listened to. In 1998 Javi started a punk-rock band called Paper Plane, where he played the drums and he started to realise he really loved creating rhythms. From then on, he has been involved in many different bands, contributing and learning. In 2004 he discovered psychedelic trance and the rave scene and he went to lots of psychedelic nights in Decades, an epic bar in his home town Seville, Spain. Those experiences encouraged him to participate in the scene and share his feelings about the music. In 2005 Javi founded a psytrance collective called Psylocibe with some friends from Seville that offered their particular vision of psytrance, throwing indoor and outdoor parties featuring the best djs of the Andalusian scene. From that point on Javi has been very active, playing at free parties and clubs in Spain such as El Tren and Quilombo and also at important festivals like Kuruputo Festival (Argentina)and SkizodelicMind Festival, Connection (Spain). In 2010 Javi started producing psychedelic tech funk/psybreaks under the name Z4thochi. A very promising career path soon emerged which was fortified by his tracks being remixed by renowned artists such as Andy Faze, Charlie Kane and Forufreezer. 2013 was a very productive (and busy) year for Z4thoichi. As well as moving to London from Seville he released 4 quality original tracks alongside 4 remixes plus a wicked Memtech remix, which went out as a free download. 2014 has been equally positive starting off with an excellent System 2 remix followed up by a storming collab with Chris Voro called Genesis. A remix for the mighty Martopeter was released shortly after along with another first class remix, this time for Blacklist. You can listen of all of these releases on his Z4thoichi soundcloud page. Javi also is working on another project called HōKō, going back to his roots. The link to his HōKō soundcloud page can be found below. With support from the likes of Far Too Loud, Too Dusty, Kwah, AP3X, Martopeter, Acidova and Motna, Z4thoichi is definitely one to watch in the ever growing psybreaks scene. 24. Hey guys. Got a new release on Ektoplazm! Albumpreview: Xenofish returns to Ektoplazm with his fifth album, Enhancer, jointly produced by fellow German producer Mellow Sonic. Whereas previous works strayed more into psychedelic drum ‘n bass territory this one marks a return to high-energy psychedelic trance without completely abandoning breakbeat influences. True to form for these artists the sound of the release is characterized by haunting twilight melodies and strong science fiction atmospheres. Mastering and artwork by Christian Becker. Here the downloadlink: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/xenofish-mellow-sonic-enhancer Wish you all a happy new year!
