  3. Artist: Various Title: Nu-Goa From Japan Vol. 2 Label: Matsuri Digital Date: March, 2015 1. Slum & Yuta - Black&Green 2. Asteroidnos - Black&Green (Deep Remix) 3. Asteroidnos - Black&Green (Acid Remix) 4. Jiu - Liquid of Gaia 5. Asteroidnos & Yuta - Andromeda 6. Jikooha & Yuta - Mind Trippers 7. Masa - Rising Thunder 8. Asteroidnos - Ascension 9. Guusun - Watashidare (Masa Remix) What the f*ck? If I studied Japanese culture for a decade I don't think I would understand it. Have you seen their porn? Of course you have. That is some twisted sh*t. When did tentacles become a sex toy? I'm such a square. Unique surely, but it does make me wonder sometimes. Like Matsuri DIGITAL releasing a physical CD. Or starting a compilation with three versions of the same track. The original was goa, deep mix was a throbbing bass heavy bit of simplistic minimal, and the acid mix is fairly tame yet pulsating. Normally I'd view the track positions with skepticism, but oddly enough it works. It flows well and gives me the vibe of kids twirling in the clubs in weird costumes on a school night against their parents wishes, but what the f*ck are you gonna complain about when everyone in school is the valedictorian? And that sums up the entire album for me. Bare bones beginning with the slim envelope the CD comes in. The artists aren't trying to out Etnica anyone with layers of melody or brute force. It's more the scaled back, bubbly head nodding club vibe with house like tempos. Of course they drop some signature atonal riffs in there because what would Japanese goa be without it? Tracks like Ascension and Rising Thunder shine (for me anyway) and the closing Watashidare combines funk and goa with smiley results. They want yo hypnotize you rather than blast you into outer space. And that should be appreciated because going to space is a whole thing that can really f*ck with a brother's calendar. Psyshop

    Hakkah - Shaman

    1. The Call -07:56- 2. Shyvaya -06:52- 3. Incantation -09:02- 4. Tribes of Libalayera -09:40- 5. Meditation -06:32- Shaman looks like to be the most recent release of Hakkah, a project transmitting from the forests of Bordeux and lying hidden in the underground of psytrance since a few years. Pure goa trance with old school progressive and tribal feeling is the content of this extended maxi ep (or mini LP). The music is very evocative and well-produced, mostly midtempo yet powerful. If i can describe this with few words, it's chilling, deep, driving, tribal, colourfull & lightful in a sober manner. Listening to these wonderfull cuts makes the time disappear. If i can draw lines that would be for sure with the old school sound of X-Dream, and hints of Laughing Buddha, Moksha, Medicine Drum. One of the best releases of the last years and i wonder if it has gone unoticed or underrated. Unfortunately, this is only a web release and it deserves to be physically pressed for sure. Totally recommended. This was available through the Ektoplazm platform few months ago, but for some reason not anymore. --> Bandcamp
  6. Artist: E-Mantra Title: Echoes From the Void Label: Altar Records Date: November, 2014 1. Echoes From the Void 2. Everything Ends 3. Snow Began To Fall 4. E-Mantra & Reasonandu - Words You Said 5. Stillness of Dawn 6. Sundial Aeon - Drifting Radio Frequencies (E-Mantra Remix) 7. Moon Drifter 8. Night Hex - Invocation 9. Shivers Art. You painted a f*cking soup can. Good for you. I can go to Food Lion and see six pallets of those. That's just my 2 cents. Drugs are bad, okay? Still think that last tab of acid was a good idea? But at least your shoes are pink so...awareness and sh*t. Ho-lee-sh*t. You just painted a picture of your dirty feet. How many millions did that sell for? These are just a few examples of why you can't judge what is art and what isn't. Eye of the beholder. Even though the above are just some random examples and seem ridiculous to me I am not the end all and be all of opinions. Like you I have one and it's no more or less accurate than yours. Well, maybe yours (points to guy with the dirty feet.) Take a shower man this ain't Woodstock. Art is subjective. And artists regardless of medium tend to be some odd f*ckers. Might be what sets them apart from the rest of the normals. I imagine Emmanuel is no different. Don't know him, but what I do know is that in his chosen medium he can do no wrong. Having already conquered goa he has almost done the same to psychill. Echoes From the Void is his fourth album in the downtempo genre and surprise surprise he explores new territory. The first half of the album is an ambient experience exploring mystical soundscapes. Ideal for waking up early and catching the rising sun from atop some lofty snow capped peak. Which is what I would've done if I didn't have kids. Floating voices soar and echo above warm pads as he slowly brings you along. Measured break beats keep the tempo whilst hypnotic melodies lull you into a dream state. Words You Said is the first surprise being more uplifting than his usual moody downtempo style. The second half of the album is progressive trance with a few showcasing the goa style we have come to expect from this artist. His Nighthex alias in particular produced a very enjoyable track. E-mantra is goa trance first and foremost, but he has also proven himself in the downtempo and ambient genre. With this album he explores the progressive arena with fine results. He's an artist that I hope continues to stretch his creative imagination as we the listeners will all be the better for it. Highly recommended to add to your E-mantra collection. Altar Bandcamp Mdk
  7. Artist: Dragon Twins Title: Only For The Wicked Label: Neogoa Date: December, 2014 1. Entwined 2. Only For The Wicked 3. Daimon - Codex (Dragon Twins Remix) 4. Time Has A Mouth 5. Inner Caveman Dub Neogoa is a netlabel that has been hooking your broke ass up with quality goa trance music since the last white guy was president. At least it seems that way. To be honest if you aren't aware of the massive contribution Neogoa has made for goa trance then I also assume your network consists of two dixie cups and a ball of yarn. Run by Richpa this label has been instrumental in providing some of the best goa music FOR FREE. One of his latest releases is this EP by forum regular Djuna aka Belgian Mathias Pico aka...Dragon Twins. Seems funny to me that Dragon Twins is one guy. Twins...two. Anyone else? The EP opens with an eerie ambient intro and launches right into Only For The Wicked. A screechy tune to be sure, but a great set up to his remix of Daimon's Codex. Now in the spirit of full disclosure that track is one of my absolute favorites. The remix is different yet no less bombastic and I enjoyed his take on it greatly. Time Has a Mouth is a psychedelic goa track with a hydra like number of heads. Thumping kick and squirrely 303. The final track is a downtempo goa one that crept along alien bubbles. Really good stuff. Bottom line this is a great EP (again for free) with good flow and great goa trance. The artwork is impressive (hi-fives Richpa) and the mastering by Stryder gives this a clean sound for hours of repeated plays. There has been some debate as to whether the mastering takes away from the quality of the music (a complaint that is unfortunately leveled against a lot of releases). I'm no audiophile, but I can tell you this. It fills my house with some awesome sound. Free at Ektoplazm Mdk
  8. Artist: Various Title: Colors of Goa Label: Timewarp Records Date: February, 2014 1. Ingenuous Curiosity FILAMI 2. Mind Therapy J.I.S. 3. Dark side of the universe COSMIC DIMENSION 4. Kalindian KURANDINI 5. Behind the wheel (2013) OMNIVOX 6. Procyon TRINODIA 7. Gods of annihilation GOATREE 8. Wibbly Wobbly SCREWLOOSE 9. Ready to fly SKY TECHNOLOGY 10. Paranormal FROST RAVEN 11. Free your mind KOBAIA 12. Sand Planet TAVI 13. Kristallwald GHOSTONACID 14. Gemini Asteroid OXI 15. Galanga GOWAX 16. Universal Enlightenment INNERZONE 17. Solar Resonance (Live Mix) IMBA, ETHEREAL 18. Sojourn in Goa (2013) SOMNESIA "Children don't read horrorscopes." True. But they do have accidents sometimes and sh*t their pants. And then proceed to track it all over the classroom floor. Bu, you know, since there was a birthday party the same day and chocolate cake was served nobody seemed to notice. Only when the teacher bent down to clean some of it up did she realize this was a whole different level of fudge. To find out who had the accident (think a 5 year old in a classroom of their friends is gonna tell you? You obviously don't have kids. I sh*t my pants once and as a last resort found refuge in a Taco Bell bathroom. I know right? My whole world was turned upside down. Everything was backwards. You don't normally have a pre-emptive smash at the Bell, they are usually the cause. Weirdly there was no line. I'm thinking they should just have a slide from your table to the crapper...just makes things flow better. But I digress...) So the teacher brought each child behind a large easel to check their pants and not embarrass the culprit. Cause believe me, that is one insult that will stick with you right through high school. So of course the next day the school was flooded with questions from insane parents as to why a teacher was eating a sh*t sandwich in class and looking down precious Johnny's pants. So yes children don't read horrorscopes but they do tell imaginative stories. Truth is stranger than fiction and this actually happened at my son's school last week. Anyhoo (awkward pause and segue) Timewarp Records has really stepped in it now. Fresh off the heels of The Call of Goa comes another 2 CD album that you are going to want in your shiny "Get...those f*cking chocolate fingers away from my CD's!" collection. *puts finger to ear to listen to producer.* "No that's not what I...I'm sure they..." *sigh* "Fine." Uh, about the chocolate fingers remark...I wasn't labeling black people as thieves. I mean c'mon, I'm not a Republican. My kids just had a few Hershey Kisses so they really did have, you know...chocolate fingers. Timewarp is really leaving their mark in a very short time. Compiled by Nova Fractal and Ovnimoon this brand of goa is bouncy and highly energetic with great sounds and melodies. The first CD is comprised of names you should know whilst the second introduces you to the less familiar. Except that Imba / Ethereal combo. We've all heard of Ethereal (new album with a re-release of Anima Mundi please) and there are pictures of Imba defiling the Holy Land all over my Facebook newsfeed. At times it bubbles and harkens back to those golden days of Indian beaches, but sounds as clear as if you were in the room when it was being produced. Filami and Kurandini (sounds like something the Jawas would say) absolutely crush things with very impressive offerings. Cosmic Dimension and Trinodia serve up more space goa and Screw Loose adds a deluge of Psilocybian frothy psy to their track. By the time you wipe the sh*t eating grin (are you my kid's teacher?) off your face and make it to CD 2 another journey is set to begin. Frost Raven delivers an X-Dream /M-Run (hyphens not included) hybrid with much bounce to the ounce. Kobaia (where the f*ck did you find these guys?) sounds like they've been worshiping at the altar of Artifact303. Tavi takes you to arid desert lands full of turbans magic lands and chilled monkey brains while our very own GhostOnAcid paints a swirling goa portrait. I thought the newer guys did a great job presenting many twirling moments and held their own against the first CD of veterans. The whole thing is an absolute must buy if you're a goa fan. Another triumph Renato. Keep hitting it out of the park like this and soon they're gonna start asking you to pee in a cup before an album release. Psyshop Mdk

  10. Artist: Maiia303 Title: Sky In Diamonds Label: Ovnimoon Records Date: September, 2014 1. Sunday Morning 2. Duality 3. Sky In Diamonds 4. Moonlight Pixies 5. Go Ask Yourself (feat. Cybered) 6. Universe 7. Atman 8. Neverland 9. Glory Bored with goa trance and psy in general? Feel that you'll never get that fresh feeling again? Well here is a cool breeze from the magic factory known as Ovnimoon Records. Where the hell did this come from? Bird sounds, real drums, flutes, and a heaping helping of 303's? Maiia (extra I for interesting) is Alla Vagner and she has spent most of her career in the downtempo genre, but with this release focuses on a more progressive style with real instruments combined with old school melodies. And boy do those 303's pop! It's not aggressive, but more laid back. The combination of electronics and real world instruments is refreshing and gives the music a more organic feel. Sure it's not the first time goa has been packaged this way, but timing is everything. Aside from the uber happy first track the rest are tunes you can get lost in. Great stuff, you should check it out. Hey, Renato put this on my wishlist! Psyshop Beatspace Mdk

OXI - Haunted Dreams 07. GoaTree - Hide & Clap (Morphic Resonance Remix) 08. Morphic Resonance - Neutrino 09. First Man - First Sound F*ck you Yoda. Yeah, my review game as of late has been pretty weak. I know it. But my meatball game...legendary. So I've had this album for a long time now and it just kept getting pushed farther and farther back. Kids, life, and those meatballs don't become legendary by themselves. So I apologize to Timewarp for the delay. It's not like there have been any good goa trance releases in the last six months anyway. Cube! Can we not get past this? You make kids movies for chrissake! So yeah no pressure. Well Timewarp (underneath the huge umbrella that is Ovnimoon Records) has established itself as a quality goa trance label with releases like the Colors of Goa and Call of Goa series in both the CD and digital arena. So it should be no surprise that their next compilation is also 2-CD release because clearly Renato is on a personal quest to suck up all my personal time like he was a three story vacuum cleaner. That's ok, I don't mind. Could be worse I suppose. I could actually have a, you know...job. *shudder* I'm here to tell you that this is one of the best things to come out of Timewarp Records. 2 Cds and not one mediocre track. Sure there is a clearly defined level between the more well known and established acts and the relative newcomers, but it's not a dramatic gap. But before I give you my opinions on the standouts, I would like to voice my concern over one artist in particular. Travma. What the hell happened? The new stuff to my ears is not even remotely close to what he brought to the scene years ago. Night and day, might as well be full-on. Perhaps he has other interests and goa trance isn't at the top of his priority list, but his track left me wanting. Wanting to hit the skip button. *Rim shot* After the gentle opening, we are treated to bomb after bomb with just very good to great to even outstanding goa trance. I broke Renato's balls a bit with the last 2-Cd compilation as having a lot of filler, but that ain't the case here. Trinodia's remix of Astral Clouds (already a monster track) made me sit up and take notice. Arronax and his acidic live wire Lightning Bolt was another eye opener. Fiery Dawn and Lectro Spektral Daze also put this comp on their shoulders and ran with it. Even the new"ish" projects like Omneon and 01-N impressed. But hands down the the one two punch from flavor of the month Morphic Resonance was the knockout blow. Since Astral is for all intents and purposes (loved the remixes, but let's have some new material) the walking dead, the guys from Morphic Resonance are the logical choice to rip the torch from Astral's cold, lifeless grip. With a frenzied pace melodies came fast and furious putting an exclamation point on this compilation. This was a monster dunk and you got posterized. Damn...a brother can't even check an Ebay auction without getting dunked on. Do not hesitate to purchase this compilation. Psyshop Beatspace
  12. Artist: Ajna Title: Search For The Divine Label: Ovnimoon Records Date: October, 2014 1. Speaking To God 2. Be Yourself 3. The All Seeing Eye 4. Follow The Signs 5. Search For the Divine 6. Come Back To Reality 7. The Age of Reason 8. The Only Way To Fly feat. Goalien "You ever have that feeling...where you're not sure if you're awake or still dreaming?" Mescaline? Try having two kids ask you every question in their repetoire 24/7 even if it has absolutely nothing to do with the current situation. And they don't give a f*ck what your answer is they just want to hear themselves talk. Happened yesterday and I think I blacked out for like...ten minutes. Thing is I was behind the wheel doing 80 miles an hour. "No officer I don't know how my car wound up in Lake Michigan, but since I've got you here who do you think would win in a fight between Unikitty and Pinky Pie. Cause this is the question I got for the past 35 minutes." Ajna is Oliver Chazard and I feel his album got lost in the shuffle with all the other releases. Ovnimoon releases like 6 albums every half hour so it's possible that they didn't even know they released it. What you get is dreamy and floaty melodic goa trance. It's high energy, pumping, and beautiful. Beautiful like Fabio...you know you're not gay, but you can't stop staring at his moobs. Fabio has clearly stopped giving f*cks. The layers are plenty and it has a spiritual quality taking you far away from mundane human pursuits and bickerings. There is a f*ckton of twirling opportunities and nobody is gonna get hurt as it weaves a trail of gentle and comforting atmospheres. There are a lot of the Middle Eastern melodies serving up images of vast desert sands and the search for the beginnings of humanity. It reminds me a lot of Afgin's release on Suntrip where it was so bright you had to listen to it with sunglasses. If there was one negative it would be that all the tracks resemble each other. A lot. Some might be put off by the samples or the goa "lite" style. And perhaps this is why it drifted within the goa ether largely ignored. As I mentioned it's beautiful sounding, but it's also the farthest you can get from the current trend of dark, moody releases. But you can't be dark all the time. Plants won't grow, sunscreen companies will go out of business, and you might one day call this freakshow your daughter in law. So let the sun shine, enjoy some soft melodic goa, and bow down to your new Ovnimoon overlords. Cause they is takin' over. Psyshop Beatspace

  15. Citing Mark Ainley: "Both Draeke and I have a strong connection to Doofs music, having admired his releases and heard him live in our early years in the scene. I was at his album launch in November 1996 and had heard him two months previously at an epic all-star Return To The Source party in New York. I had the opportunity to see him at several parties in the UK and Japan, yet one special occasion bridged my strong connection to his sound. Tsuyoshi had asked me to DJ at his London home prior to his moving in August 97, and a few tracks into my set Nick came up to me and said that he had a live mix of Destination Bom that would go really well with what I was playing, if I was interested. Of course I was! We cued it up on the DAT player and although mixed as part of a live set, I managed a seamless mix from the previous track, and out came the one of the most beautiful tunes Id ever heard, more of a morning track than the released growling nighttime stormer. As the track drew to an end that I had not yet heard, I managed smooth mix out into the next track, the DAT came out of the player and went back into Nicks DAT bag, and that was that - one of the most magical experiences I have had as a DJ, one that I could never forget. Years later, back in 2011, Nick kindly agreed to contribute a previously unpublished mix of Mars Needs Women to DAT Records charity project Mind Rewind and wrote a wonderfully insightful story into the tracks history. A while later, I reminded him of his having loaned me that Destination Bom mix at Tsuyoshis; he said he couldnt remember the track but would look. He responded not long after that he hadnt been able to find it. I said that unless he had thrown out some DATs he must have it, and perhaps he could check again. The next morning, an email from a file transfer service was in my inbox, with the message, This may be the droid youre looking for. I excitedly downloaded it and this was indeed that marvellous track from 16 years earlier: soaring, magnificently structured, seamlessly phrased... every bit as beautiful as Id remembered. We already had in our possession a couple of other alternate Doof mixes, and Draeke had the idea that if there were alternate mixes for each of the tracks from the classic Doof album Lets Turn On, it would make an outstanding release. Nick doubted that there would be, but said hed investigate his archive. Lo and behold, a few days later he had indeed found other mixes hed forgotten about - some of which he thought were better than the issued versions. A parallel album of alternate mixes was compiled, and we had the idea to issue the remixed album together with the original as a special collectors edition. DAT Records is therefore please to announce Doof: Lets Turn On - Remixed and Remastered CD1 - Remixed 1. Lets Turn On (Desk Mix) 2. Mars Needs Women (Live Mix) 3. Yoof of the Galaxy 4. Double Dragons (Alternate Mix 2) 5. Sunshrine (Mix 2) 6. Secret Sun (7th Sun Mix) 7. Angelina (Alternate Mix) 8. Destination Bom (Alternate Mix) 9. Star Above Parvatti (Original Mix) CD2 - Remastered 1. Lets Turn On 2. Mars Needs Women (96 Mix) 3. Youth of the Galaxy (Final Demand Mix) 4. Double Dragons 5. Sunshrine 6. Secret Sun (Sunbeam Mix) 7. Angelina 8. Destination Bom 9. Star Above Parvatti (Bijli Mahadev Mix) This remarkable track list only begins to hint at the beauty of the contents. Fans of Doof and newer fans of the genre will be blown away by the wonderfully fluid melodic and harmonic wonders found herein. Full-bodied and big-bassed while also lean and sophisticated, the previously unreleased mixes found on Disc 1 provide a wonderful complement to the familiar classics on Disc 2 that will sound fresher and more alive than ever with up-to-date mastering. So, this autumn... get ready to tune in... and Lets Turn On, once again and for the very first time!" So this is something I was working on secretly for quite sometime, together with the Etnica LP, the VA - Analog Dreams and other things, so this year was very very busy and the schedule, although a bit delayed, is being respected. You will hear these monsters tunes soon enough folks! Draeke

  17. Artist: Electric Universe Title: 20 (1994 - 2014) Label: Dacru Records Date: November, 2014 1. Electronic Pulsation 2. One Love 3. Galaxia 4. Out Of Time 5. Online Information 6. Sunset Skyline 7. Spectral Blue 8. Meteor 9. Renania 10. Love Is Not A Crime 11. The Prayer 12. Journey Into The Subconscious 13. Mind Of God 14. Gajin Rocker 15. The Self 16. Solar Noir 17. Tune Up 18. Psycho Acoustics 19. Bodhisatva 20. Freedom "And suddenly I was thrown into this expansive, amazing feeling...of freedom." Boris Blenn doesn't have to do sh*t. He doesn't have to prove sh*t. Psytrance Jesus practically invented the genre that allows talentless artists to make crappy full-on and believe they're Tiesto. You could argue he and a select few paved the way for those who would come after, and that without him the genre wouldn't be the same. This album celebrates his two decades in the game and is a great cross section of his huge and impressive body of work. Beginning with his best goa selections like Electronic Pulsation, Galaxia, and of course Online Information. Then not unlike the entire scene at the time he took a nap during his more experimental phase with with tracks like Spectral Blue and Renania. This is where I catch a few ZZzzzz.... Then after a few selections from his awesome album Cosmic Experience each he supplants himself in full-on territory. And I don't think he's moved since. I'll chalk his Higher Modes album up to bad drugs, a vengeful hooker (we've all been there, am I right?) or a throbbing case of not giving a f*ck. Once Boris released Cosmic Experience each subsequent album had the same style. Track names? Why the f*ck you gotta bring that up? At this point you either love where his music is or tire of hearing the same track ad nauseum. With his goa days long behind him this style of full-on is what he does and what the younger trancers know him for. The last track is from Journeys Into Space (haven't heard it yet) and it sounds even more cosmic and euphoric if that is at all possible. This is a great double CD of material and an adequate representation of his musical catalog. I don't think you can go wrong with it especially if you consider yourself a fan of his later stuff. 19. Artist: Morphem Title: Montage / Bringers of The Dawn / Loving Spirit EP Label: Tunnel Records Date: 1996 1.Montage 2. Bringers of the Dawn 3. Loving Spirit Who the hell is this guy? Short answer? Frederik Stehn. Long answer? Some guy that's pretty damn good. I was aware of his album Out of Focus, but I've never heard it. Saw the Ambrosia cover as someone's avatar, but never heard that either. After getting my first delicious taste if the Morphem sound with the Magma EP I'm eagerly searching for more. Montage has a strong goa melody and I like the little Jawa voices here and there. Bringers of the Dawn is fairly unremarkable with it's laid back almost progressive feel. Loving Spirit has some bubbling percusion and a percolating 303 that wobbles. The whole track has some bouncy appeal. While not as intense and captivating as Magma, there is some value here. Mdk
  20. ...Happy 20th(ish) Anniversary Goa Trance — Spring!... goaconstrictor.com/audio/20thAnniversary-Spring.mp3 (1hr20min/320MP3/194MB/©2015) Genre: Spring Time Psychedelic Anniversary Goa Trance Goa Trance, while it did begin popping up a bit here and there in 1993 and 1994, was truly birthed (according to my KNOW-EVERYTHING-ABOUT-GOA brain) in 1995. So that means, 2015 is kind of, for lack of a better origin story, the pseudo (like the science often sampled in the songs) birthday/anniversary of what has been known as Goa Trance. During the winter time, I made the first of what was going to be a simple two-parter to celebrate the ongoing musical gifts from this often misunderstood genre that has helped shape other genres of music for decades. As I continued my digging and assembling the upbeat mix, I realized that there were still massive missing gaps of sounds, textures, and energies of which should be shared with the world. As I thought about the connections the Goa community has with the moon, sun, and nature, I realized that it would be more appropriate to split the mix into the four seasons. Winter time was a rough, nasty, heady time. It was fast and will keep you warm throughout the winter. Spring means something else entirely. You need something like a blanket to warm you up as the cold sun starts to shine and warm up the cold roots deeply buried underground. Only then, as the soft pads and minimal techno melodies open up, do we start vibrating again. Getting those morning dews to evaporate off of the grass and rejuvenate the spirit. This mix starts around 125bpm and does a slow and steady climb up to the upper 130s. Just the proper stopping point for the summer that is just around the corner. We dig from classic vinyl only released to brand shit released earlier this year, with many sounds between. So please, join me this spring and wish a Happy 20th(ish) Anniversary Goa Trance! http://goaconstrictor.com/music/happy-20thish-anniversary-goa-trance-spring/'>goaconstrictor.com/music/happy-20thish-anniversary-goa-trance-spring

  23. Artist: Lumen Title: Way Up In The Air / 3 To 1 EP Label: Phantasm Records Date: 1998 1. Way Up In The Air 2. 3 To 1 I downloaded this out of curiosity. What? Don't look at me that way. Just don't. What would I do with a 12" (ask your mother)? I don't even think my father has a record player and he was born in the 40's. Lumen is Chris Conklin and I had no idea he used to make goa trance. Learn something new yadda yadda yadda. Anyway he did, and boy did he do it well. This is a very unheralded EP. Both tracks have old school melodies that build slowly, but come together in the end. Good stuff. Mdk
