  1. I came into this thread to see what is "good" these days ;p since Im a huge lover of classic psy/full-on and still collecting the many releases from 03/04 alone. with goodies before and after those years as well. I gotta say Im surprised. While I really dislike Disorder's basslines, I can hear the classic sound in the music. That second track I like more. Thanks Penz for that! The Dirty Saffi track I really like! much better bassline with the madness and random attacks. that soecific track I see more in the full-on light. I dont know the artist otherwise (only the name) on if they are mainly more twlight or not as commented. The Yar Zaa track is ok. If it exploded a bit more with that melody I may have released some drool ;p We all know the hate psy and full-on can get on these boards. For me it makes more sense from say the past 7 years til now. Many artists are going for 'standard' and not breaking into their own sound. the standard efx and noises/sounds continue to be what a track is. Worse when I find tracks that take this and dont put energy into it. Remember the energy distortion radiance 3D vision had in their releases? Or the melodic layers and explosions that were all over psy? Especially within the Israeli scene. I want that back! The last artist to really wow me was Jaws Underground and hes definitely more twlight now than ever. I liked seeing what was here. keep the tracks coming! its keeps me from checking out ho-hum releases ;p
  2. the rock I live under shouldnt be challenged ;p haha! oh ok. bummer 8/ I only checked his Shamanic Tribes page just now which didnt say.
  3. first- Im totally going to check out that Fuel On remix later! I have at least seen Jay/Southwild more than any other artist since first doing so in 2010 at Desiderata 2010 here in NY https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/58914-desiderata-festival-2010/ I thought Braincell was there, too. Guess not. I missed Braincell in Ozora last year (I forget the timeslot and day but I needed sleep or to leave the venue for Boom). So Ive seen Jay twice at that event for the Rastaliens & Southwild sets then two sets each in '13 & '14 Smoke on the Water events in NY. Since he's now based in Montreal (3 hours from me) and good friends with my buddy who throws these parties, hes always around ;p yet still one of those guys Ive not got to know. Only greeted a little back in 2010 haha! I like the older Rastaliens and know it most. Tracks that played throughout the DI playlist like 'Bits and Crunches' or 'Orakel' from their 2003 album. His Southwild project is awesome, too. I seen him also perform at Ozora last year which I have a video of. but heres the smaller NY party last year 8) the first 3:50 EDIT: ps- that VA - The Turning compilation is a gem! ;O track 1. Azax Syndrom & Toxic - Rain was my main reason to must own it. Phyx - Hounds of Hell is just ;OOO
  4. Alienated Buddha and Jake Stephenson/ShamanicTribes?! WHEN! How?! ;O
  5. this group is all me ;p Im never shutting up about retro full-on haha! classic psy as I call it
  6. everything paid for me now ;D well, just need to get travel costs paid to NYC before the airport haha!
  7. oh me too me too! I rather a Slide mix over UX
  8. go back 13 years and you will see YSE releases doing this. but at least the progressive then was better than what "that stuff" is today ;p I've always too my stance to never buy from that label. Also, many of the tracks on their compilations are just re-releases elsewhere. They are the "Wow thats what I call music" of the psy scene haha! fa'get that! and yes, those labels scarred my mind ;O I'm feeling motived to get my booty shakin, lady grinding action on at the next dancefloor I see ;p
  9. Im not sure if ever in life I can make it over to Japan, but this Osaka place with the music is sounding so good ;O
  10. I applaud your opinion 8) Just little ole Americam me doesnt have the opportunities to catch the classics over in this country ;p so ZNA for me is a dream come true. Im still hoping Toi Doi comes back this year and my bucket list is near complete ;p Im doing less festivals this year so ZNA overseas will be it. I plan to at most do the two NY ones, one in the spring and one in the summer if they come back (probably will), then maybe, just maybe Equinox again for its 12th year in North Carolina.
  11. oh yeah me too! I sped into the phase 1 tickets Im just awaiting for more info on the buses before I finish buying flights. Im going to ZNA from visiting a friend in Germany. Then after ZNA I would like to catch an early flight leaving lisbon to NYC on the 6th. This would require getting to the airport on the 5th. Any flight after that has 8-14hr layover or more going elsewhere ;O
  12. Violent Relaxation album for sure! Each album is very different for me. Some good and some meh. But Violent R., wooooeeeey that good stuff!
  13. now just think... your life 15 years ago.. struggling with puberty ;p
  14. hello! A facebook friend under the name Deep Fryer once got in touch with me and that who is I was referring to in the thread. send him a message. he was happy to talk to the other guy. He's big on the finnish Suomi psytrance. There was just an event in Osaka. Feel free to message him for more info and good luck and fun over there 8)
  15. some of the finest psytrance from 2004 Suria - Robot Teaser from the incredible Logical Evolution album ;O edit: the video isnt showing up for some reason https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWV_0vYJGg0
  16. Manmademan is a must before I die ;O so WOOO! the new Xenomorph addition is just crazy. good crazy. thanks! ;D
  17. so much good twilight! and the awesome Hypergate releases ALIENN and TRYON! I have a good chunk of these. awesome choices my friend! and where in the states if you dont mind? possible we attended same events?
  18. I think the happiest day in my cd buying life was when I first clicked (I believe it was) the recent restocks link on SaikoSounds. There I found Slide - Unstable album was back for sale. IT WAS MINE, MUAHAHAHA! ;p
  19. I've seen the name here and there over the years. Probably heard a track. but I must know more! (plays samples) oooh! the Twisted Mind track is ferocious ;O I like the melody in Awakening. The first track is ok and the lead around 5:40 is good. It does remind me of old Tranceport trance somehow ;p not in a bade way but it does echo something from long ago in my brain. good release!
  20. hahaa ah bummer! the mud was killer ;p it made my feet a weird kind of sore all up into Ozora too. from using muscles I never had to before to pull my feet free with each step. minimal movements but all week long, add up to something haha I walked behind Seb for a bit on the way back to my tent and as I got close enough to stop him in a less odd way he goes to pee in a bush so I continued past haha!
  21. lucky peoples! thats a sick deep melody goa'n on in the track ;O I catch little goa here in the states if Im lucky
  22. excellent choices in here! Again my psynews twin strikes again with Psygone who I started this musical journey with years ago and probably my favorite Phyx track ;O Then Space Tribe and the awesome Imperial project below. stomp hard! I was unsure what could come to mind.. then this! A minute and a half into always this one ;p 57 seconds in what say you about when is "full power"? to me this track builds until the main climax explosion after 4 mins
  23. rumbly tune and sweet deco! heck yea! ;D Its been a month since my last festival and Im feining for another ;O Parties exist but I will probably hold off until a spring outdoor.
  24. ah cool! That part in the video my German friend I met during the event and camped next to, came up to me and asked if Dick Trevor spotted me with the Green Nuns shirt on. He did right before he pressed play for his music to begin, pointed and said "You again!" since he saw me for hours at the front of the dancefloor at SUN. He later spotted me at Boom and was wearing the same shirt as me ;p Aww moment there haha!! Im not sure I will be too busy next year with overseas parties. It might just be the ZNA party in Portugal for me that is getting most of us here very goa-horny ;p Maybe there can be a meet-up there. Im one who just goes right through the mud and puddles ;p If I have some sort of footwear I will try to avoid it unless they get soaked. I was barefoot a lot at Ozora on the dancefloor and would put my slippers or sandals aside.
