  1. I dont think the i am a freak song thats off the twisted dvd is the same one thats going to be on the new album...
  2. It's not psy but: Coldcut- 70 Minutes of Madness gets my vote
  3. I've been lucky enough to catch YB fully live twice now and what can i say, I really think the new stuff is utterly spectactular. It's going to upset a lot of psytrance purists for sure because it's a little more mainstream and not as dance floor orientated. The songs i've heard are more like a hybrid between melodic, catchy, almost funky psychedelic electronica and post/progressive rock with some fleeting elements of more dancefloor orientated psytrance. the posfordian psychedelia is still there but this time its more subtle, more like it was in the celtic cross album. definately unlike any other music thats being put out at the moment. also what i love about the new stuff is that every song that i've heard is noticeably different from the rest, with its own unique vibe but they all still manage to fitt in with the general feel of the album. all i want is also quickly becoming one of my favourite songs, was already singing along when i saw it at glade. This is gonna be a goodun for sure, just gotta wait for twisted to release the damn thing. Oh and watch out for YB performing crumblenaut fully live when they next tour, it sounds awesome. they even found a singer who can do the vocal part!
  4. Eat Static- Declassified gets my vote
  5. I´ve never really listened to their music, but space buddha definately deserve the award for the cheesiest name. I mean wtf? Psysex are also pretty cheesy. But again thats kind of expected with a name like that
  6. I dunno whether I agree with the fact that one has to take psychedelics in order to appreciate and understand truly psychedelic music, but I´m with you on the point that most of the full on/dark psy that is pumped out at festivals nowadays isnt what i would define as psychedelic.
  7. From Benji: Guess I´m gonna be pre-ordering mine then! :posford:
  8. greeeen nuns of the revolution confirmed. wooooooop I shall most definately be there now
  9. no shpongle? I´d definately throw in DMT on there.... Also, to get a bit of variety alongside hallucinogen and prometheus how about: Tristan- Fetish or Reptile Mind Doof- Dawn of a new error or Last half of forever
  10. hmmmm... that sounds good. You have any other info on it apart from what I found at this website (ie line up, price, how to get tickets, etc)? Edit: found all the info. Looks very, very good. Shall try my best to get there
  11. hmmmm.... ok on second listen maybe it is. strange though, as the bassline was the only part of the song they actually used in their set.
  12. nope, i have that album and it definately wasnt that song. This one was quite a lot darker and heavier than crash and burn. any other suggestions?
  13. helloo, can someone please tell which track eat static tune is and from what album it comes from? Twas one of my favourites from their glade set but tis not on any of the CDs of theirs that i have. gracias!
  14. Seen quite a few posts on here about the psy parties in Urubamba: the sacred valley of hte incas. Has anyone ever been to any of these? Worth going to? Thinkin of coinciding my visit to peru so i can go to one of them, so if anyone knows anything about them any info would be greatly appreciated. Also does anyone have any other info on any other good psy festies/parties in South America? I'm based in buenos aires for a year, so would like to go to at least one whilst i'm out here! Thanks in advance
  15. Johann Johannsson´s Englaborn and The Fountain OST are both insanely beautiful melacholic ambient CDs
  16. has anyone spotted any psynewsers on the dancefloor/in the pics at the entry to the 10th anniversary party?!
  17. i've only got U-turn as the others are hard to find for a reasonable price... I've yet to really get into it though, haven't really listened to it properly under the right circumstances... i thought they were wicked at the twisted party though, i danced my nuts off straight through the whole of their set :posford:
  18. i can't wait to get this release. come on you damn UK release date!!!

  20. come, it's going to be awesome £110 to see all of that is WELL worth the money!
  21. i dont see how the delay could have gone from june all the way to september just because of the artwork? so bloody annoying, i was really looking forward to giving it a good listen before i see em again at glade so that i know all the songs they play this time round storm better be working some wonders with this art work!
  22. the album's been delayed until 3rd september now apparently
  23. This album is the last twisted records album I bought, and its quickly becoming one of my favourites. The thing i love about this album is that is it's not in your face to the extent that the only way you can listen to it is with a big sound system on a dance floor. This album is one of those ones that can be played just about anywhere, to suit all moods. I find it quite a good one to work to in fact. Having said that though, the tempo and beats of the first 4 tracks are just upbeat enough so that if you crank up the volume you'll get anyone dancing. I personally prefer the first, upbeat over part of the album over the last part, especially tracks 2 and 3, where the groove and the melodies are just perfect. A 9/10 for me
