  1. I guess you know the name of the game already, 50 tracks '90s goa/psy, 20 seconds long clips per track to identify. I suggest an addition to the "rules": 100 points maximum, 1 point per correct artist and/or title. Put spoiler tags around your answers. And of course NO CHEATING ;D Correct answers:
  2. Well I'm no Suomisound expert but what Finnish goa/psy I heard back in the '90s was incredibly silly and stupid and anything but cold and dark. I've heard people say that contemporary Suomisound is simply "too much".
  3. My version is done, not uploaded yet though. Let me know when you feel like this contest is over I'll post a new topic instead of continuing this one, makes things clearer.
  4. Forgot to mention Gotan Project
  5. Maaya Sakamoto, some Japanese anime soundtrack music of the more down to earth vibe, Emma Salokoski Ensemble, Husky Rescue, Jean Michel Jarre, Orbital, Björk (although her albums after Vespertine have been a bit meh), Ozric Tentacles (if it can be considered "not psy" . I've been meaning to get some music again I listened to as a kid, mostly (early) Queen albums, lots of classical music and old jazz. But I've become lazy and haven't bothered to do anything about those yet :/
  6. Yeah it seems to work if you post and then go back and edit the euro signs back in.
  7. This was much more difficult than Ormion's...
  8. My most expensive items, over €75 judging by Discogs highest selling prices: Solar Fields - Extended €227.24 Evan Marc + Steve Hillage - Dreamtime Submersible €196.26 VA - Mind Rewind €105.29 GNOTR - Rock Bitch Mafia €99.71 Elve - Infinite Garden €98.47 VA - Inifinity Hz €96.12 Pleiadians - I.F.O. €92.48 Bluetech - Phoenix Rising €84.21 Ishvara - Magik Square Of The Sun €83.32 Steve Brand + Ishq - Spiritual Science / The Voice From Home €76.53 Cosmosis - Cosmology €76.47 But relatively speaking, the most expensive CD I have is this: Process & Tristan - KV 23 / Random Factor €146.53 It's a 2 track single, and were it a full album (8 tracks) with its price per track, it would be a nice €586.12 But I don't really know if I have anything that could really be classified as "rare" or obscure... Side note: doesn't this forum know the Euro sign?
  9. Just go ahead and give it a go before me. I haven't had time to think about this yet.

  12. I'll probably write it in my will that THESE ARE NOT TO BE SOLD OR DESTROYED. Or perhaps I'll donate them to someone who still cares for something as ancient as CDs The same thing will also happen to the hard drive (or whatever storage medium will be around in +-60 years) that holds the CD rips and all the music I've downloaded (all legally, mind you).
  13. FLAC / foobar2000 -> Native Instruments Audio Kontrol 1 -> Pioneer DJM-250 -> SM Pro Audio Nano Patch Plus -> Behringer Truth B3030A. Good enough for my tiny apartment.
  14. All I can say is: never go to India. You'll go insane.
  15. The first goa CD I heard was Astral Projection - Dancing Galaxy around september 1997. The first goa CD I bought about a year later was Transwave - Helium (I still have it and won't sell it, ever). What I bought after that (and especially in what order), I can't remember exactly; Dragonfly Classix, Space Tribe's 2 first albums, Hallucinogen's both albums, MFG - New Kind Of World, Dementertainment and Eclipse (Twisted Records), Are You Shpongled? and lots of other CDs aswell.
  16. Don't. Just, don't. M-Audio is fucking crap*. I speak from experience. *except for the good old Delta 2496
  17. Well if you want to use an audio interface (sound card) for DJing and like to mix on a real mixer, I'd recommend you get one with 4 outputs (2 stereo) but if you're OK with mixing in software I guess you can send the cue signal to the headphones output and the master signal to the main outs. I myself have a NI Audio Kontrol 1 and I can nothing but recommend it. It's rock solid performance wise and it's built like a little tank. Too bad I don't think they're manufacturing them anymore.

  19. This was about stealing Ormion's idea and making our own versions of this game.
  20. Well I was kinda intrigued by this, but if that's a side effect I might need to reconsider. I have enough difficulties sleeping already and I don't really need anything that makes it even worse :/
