Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on my desktop, just because I happen to be used to Windows, and I still want to play games (try doing that on Linux). Also, no Linux versions of the audio and DJing software I use. Windows XP SP3 on my DJing laptop.

Crop Circles - The Singles
Paul Eye replied to draeke's topic in Artist News and Labels announcements
Weird. Usually Italian post sucks big time. Last time I bought something via Discogs from an Italian guy the REGISTERED package spent over a week in some local post office before even leaving to be shipped out of the country... I WANT MY CROP CIRCLES NOW- 102 replies

Well known tracks for one person can be completely unknown to someone else. In my round 3 I was surprised to see that people didn't recognize some tracks I though were dead easy. Go figure.
-
Wouldn't also a correct track name (without artist) give 1 point? Anyway, my answers (no, this was mostly not easy)

Guardian Angel is a classic. I'd like to see someone argue against that.

I've never really been good at sleeping. Maybe this explains something.

I think round 2 was the most diffucult so far. 18 points.
-
Actually I think I have it correct. I checked Discogs edit: Discogs is wrong it seems, gotta go correct/update some stuff
-
You live, you learn 10 points.

My memory is weird. It mostly throws away all the good stuff and keeps the crap. Also, my short-term memory is a bit wonky; I do things but suddenly I might stop and wonder what the fuck I was just doing... I mean, I know that I just went back and forth to the grocery store for example, or a party, or whatever, but did it really happen? Kinda difficult to explain as I have memories of things happening but a kind of an uncertainty about whether I've been imagining things or not. Kind of like everything I do and experience fails to leave anything to hold on to. Difficult to explain (yeah I know I said it already). It's just weird.

Ormion: 16 points Padmapani: 25 points Hmm, it's not me but the CD it's from that has it incorrect it seems... (not really unusual mind you).

Astral Projection fresh style, way too few tracks
Paul Eye replied to radi6404's topic in General Psytrance
Why do you take it so seriously? I mean, music if my life force but I don't go into rage mode if someone says shit about my favourite music, unless (and solely UNLESS) it's said with an undeniable intention to piss me off. -

So Radi, your opinions are universal truths? -
A balanced mix of really easy and really difficult ones, and something in between 25 points for you if I counted correctly.

I guess you know the name of the game already, 50 tracks '90s goa/psy, 20 seconds long clips per track to identify. I suggest an addition to the "rules": 100 points maximum, 1 point per correct artist and/or title. Put spoiler tags around your answers. And of course NO CHEATING ;D Correct answers:

Well I'm no Suomisound expert but what Finnish goa/psy I heard back in the '90s was incredibly silly and stupid and anything but cold and dark. I've heard people say that contemporary Suomisound is simply "too much".

My version is done, not uploaded yet though. Let me know when you feel like this contest is over I'll post a new topic instead of continuing this one, makes things clearer.

Forgot to mention Gotan Project

Maaya Sakamoto, some Japanese anime soundtrack music of the more down to earth vibe, Emma Salokoski Ensemble, Husky Rescue, Jean Michel Jarre, Orbital, Björk (although her albums after Vespertine have been a bit meh), Ozric Tentacles (if it can be considered "not psy" . I've been meaning to get some music again I listened to as a kid, mostly (early) Queen albums, lots of classical music and old jazz. But I've become lazy and haven't bothered to do anything about those yet :/
