Eyes See Sounds Eyes see in the dark, everything we keep hidden. Confessions kept deep in the closet, beside the skeletons; behind closed eyelids. All is clear; no bright glare, distracts us from it. Under the skin we feel more, in our deepest inner thoughts, we project the furthest. Sit a while and wonder, for thought is the greatest teacher. It can be better to commune alone, than to join a voracious choir.

This doesn't seem as active as the movie forum. I am trying to read more and watch less TV/Movies

Most books I come across are good enough to read once but I would never think about reading them again. Usually they are written quite well but nothing special but have a gripping story. But once you know the story it would be pointless to ready again. Some books though break the mould, either the story is so good that while I am reading it a second or so time you still hope it will turn out different (usually these have sad endings or a character I hate who lives but I want to die ) or the writing is so sublime that I can just get lost in the words. So what books can you just read over and over again? For me it is Haruki Murakami - Norwegian Wood I love his in depth descriptions of such little things, like the creases in people's clothing or their hairslides. The story is hauntingly beautiful as well and no matter how many times I read it I still wonder if the ending will be different this time (it never is though ) C.S. Lewis - Out of the Silent Planet and Perelandra Another wonderfully written books & I always enjoy reading the descriptions of what people used to think Mars/Venus were like before we discovered the boring truth. H.G. Wells - The Time Machine and The Invisible Man Nice passages, wonderful discriptions and the irony is never lost. Isaac Asimov - The Foundation Series Such imagination, talented writing and it is easy to get totally wrapped up in the stories and find you have read all 7 too many times. J.R.R. Tolkien - The Silmarillion I have always loved reading the history of Middle Earth over and over to gain a better understanding of The Lord Of The Rings trilogy which are other books I can read numerous times. Embarassingly I can also read many Warhammer 40,000 books over and over as I love the grim dark imagery and the utter hopelessness that the stories entertain. They might not be very well written and are just action movies in space but something about them hits the right spot with me

Haruki Murakami - After Dark I really like the writing of Murakami. The English translations though are better as English is a much more beautiful language than Japanese

I think those are Epic Poetry quite difficult to read if you are not in a fanciful mood

I finished reading Goethe's Faust Part 1 which was a mix of very well written parts and long winded gas baggery! Some scenes were beautifully written whereas other just dragged. Oh & the ending was shite!

*points and laughs* haa ha! I have in the past bought a CD I liked the sound of in the shop only to get home and notice that I already own it Seriously though, this sort of thing sucks but I doubt it is a new thing. There has been unscrupulous people in the psy-scene for a long time. It is the best disguise as so many people think that all psy people must be kind, honest, caring PLUR people. Unfortunately not true.

The Green Room Green grass, green walls brown skies, brown borders sit a while and take it in surrounded by hope, melancholy try to see what is beyond hide what lies beneath pain comes to all men all men dream what can it be if not I angels won't worship as we lie in fields of green green grass, green walls melt under scrutiny there is nothing there but what we hide inside crawling up like a spider brown skies, brown borders swallow inside what we never were what we never are

untitled chance chances missed on warm summer evening calls gone unanswered in the night sitting waiting on nothing still we are all alone chances never come again try and try as we might we can never change what has already passed at the end of times we are alone to change our fates we must wait inteminably wait for what may never come but hope eternal drives us on to try and not be so alone

deep mid A thin sliver of light a contrast against the darkness as I sat there I felt the cold hand of death that morning sat by the window as I looked on winter's frost a light snow began to fall on the plains and the treeless hills on monuments and grave stones on the living and the dead I sat as my essence dripped away and I departed the linear plane two feelings, one warm the other cold I thought it would be the other way

I kind of like classical stuff from Shakespear to Homer and Dante but I do feel that they are often so long in the tooth and full of a lot of hot gas. There are always long passages saying very little, a character describing his or her feeling or the situation in minute detail using a hundred words where they could have use 20 with the same effect. Although I like reading ancient literature I must admit that modern literature is much better. It has better character development, knows how to entice a reader and generally just blows the oldies out of the water. No I know that at least one of you disagrees (I can actually feel the future laying into me so) give it your best shot

Johan Wolfgang von Goethe - Faust it's longwinded but there are some beautiful passages & images in it

Although Eno is the daddy of ambient I don't really like much of his work. I'd go for Ambient 4

I wish I could replace my last month of crap with your month of receiving such lush music Today I received sphingida presents origin and Kliment - The Perpectual Ritual both are surprisingly good

Hi Spambot! Thanks for your utterly pointless posts (3 so far with absolutely nothing to do with the topics they are in) You wont be deleted because there is little to no moderation here anymore and no one looks in old review threads anymore so your particular type of extemely random spamming with no links to porn or virus ridden sites will no doubt go unnoticed. Next post you make, why don't you make an attempt to fool us into thinking you are a real person by participating in adjacency! Post something that makes sense in relation to anothers post or go and behold even answer someones post. That might make us believe you are real. Or you could just fuck off Brendan. Back on Topic. This must be one of my most used albums ever. I listen to it regularly & I use the tracks in DJ sets so often. Just last week I used Mos6581 and it went down a storm

How do you actually double post when there is a flood control of 30 seconds? Is your internet that slow that you press "add reply" then after 30+ seconds it hasn't done anything & you hit it again only to post twice? I have double posted I think once as if I hit the add reply button twice I just get the flood control warning.

You stopped that barbaric practice then?

Yeah, I rock Karaoke in Japan is great. You go to a little room with your friends and no strangers listen to you & you don't need to listen to strangers

I have found most ultimae to be like that. Cannot be judged on the first few listens. Not so easily accessible but fantastic once it is truly accessed
