  1. I guess you're really attached to the quality of sound they produce, rather than the physical boxes themselves - But I very well know what you mean. The only thing, besides my music and and related gear, I'm really attached to, is probably my flat itself...
  2. Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine Nine Inch Nails - The Fragile V.A. - Lucid Flux
  3. A quick google search for ""essence stx" "k701"" turned up this: http://www.head-fi.org/t/544712/k701-stx-i-thinks-its-just-wrong http://www.head-fi.org/t/666250/k701-essence-stx-no-bass both threads were started by the same user, complaining about too little bass, but the responses he got should give you a good idea about the combo. Apprently that guy started more threads like this, not only on head-fi, so there should be quite some info on the essence stx+k701 combo available. I've also read a lot about an issue with the bumps on the headband being uncomfortable. Of course you could mod them if this is the case for you.
  4. Hello Bacca, Supraaural means that the earpads rest on your ears, circumaural means that the earpads have enough space inside them that they're resting against your head with your ears inside them. In general it's better to get open headphones, unless you need any isolation at all. If there are cases where you'd disturb others or if you want to use them anywhere but in a very silent environment, then I'd recommend you get closed-back headphones. the k701 and hd25 c ii are both regarded as good headphones in their priceclass. The k701 aren't as easy to drive as the hd25 c ii, though and need a good amp. I don't know if the amp on the Xonar Essence STX soundcard is good enough for the k701s. Personally I'm a fan of the Beyerdynamic DT250 (250 ohm version). They're not hard to drive, but require some power to get really loud. If you're going to use the headphones with rather weak sources from time to time and like to listen loud, then the hd25 c ii would be very well suited for you, as they are very efficient.
  5. Maybe it was €19 about 4 1/2 years ago, when I made the contract, but now it's €24 (I checked my account). I could get telephone and tv for €1 more, but I don't even want that. I have no idea why you have so many service interruptions, I'm online easily 5 hours a day, and I can't even remember one instance when I couldn't access the internet through that connection during the last 2 years. Sometimes I have to reboot the PC, because my browser can't load any sites, but then it always works again right away and even this happens quite rarely (probably much less than once a week) .
  6. Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral Nine Inch Nails - Broken
  7. It's very likeable, especially the last part from 4:13 on. Appropriate track length! I wouldn't mind hearing more from you in this vein.
  8. Check out the tracks "Nonstop" and "Keep Going" by Cosma... they'er a bit faster, but might be right up your alley. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AvIvO1eTfg edit: more: Children of Paradise - Alien Nation 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mxEQQDszFk8 Children of Paradise - Alien Nation 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78ta2HmMyNo
  9. Rotwang: Radi: Why don't you try to learn remote viewing? If it works for you, you have your proof and it doesn't matter anymore if other people think that it's possible or not. If it doesn't work and you can't find anyone who can prove his/her telepathic abilities when you test them, then it probably doesn't exist. I really like the site www.viking-z.org, but it's probably hard to get into, since "the author" has an unusual style of writing and uses "interesting" vocabulary and lists.

  11. There's no Album/Compil/EP to blame. I "always" had the feeling that there had to be something similar to commercial electronic 4/4 beat music, just much, much better, and I discovered Astral Projection (the group) when I did research about astral projection (the ability) on the internet when I was about 15 years old, and knew I had found what I had expected to exist somewhere out there.
  12. DJ: Psyankali Mix Title: Jules Verne Style: Old School Goa/Psy Duration: 1:16:34 BPM: starts at 140, ends at 144 bpm http://www.play.fm/recording/julesverne123900 Tracklist: (Intro) Banco De Gaia - Starstation Earth Juno Reactor - Jardin De Cecile Filteria - Filtertraces (Abstract Dream Rmx) Crop Circles - Full Mental Jackpot (Etnica Remix II) Daimon - Wake Up And Smell The Ashes Logic Bomb - Kilobyte Bandit Aurax - Atomic Defloration Green Nuns Of The Revolution - Kwo-Ne-She (Original Unreleased Version) ManMadeMan - Wasteland The Delta - As A Child I Could Walk On The Ceiling Graham & Serge - The Full Monty (Outro) Juno Reactor - Luciana Recorded on September the 2nd, 2013 Equipment used: 2x Pioneer CDJ-400, Allen&Heath Xone:DB2, Software: Audacity My thoughts: some transitions could have been a bit cleaner, and the outro is a bit long, but I like the flow and think it's quite enjoyable overall. I hope you'll like it! Any feedback appreciated! =)
  13. I received it yesterday, have listened to it somewhere between 5 and 10 times through already and just set up [my profile picture] near the pc again (headphones and amp had been sitting in the wardrobe unused for probably 2 or 3 months). After having to turn the headphones down to reduce the risk to wake up my neighbours ( ), I know that I have to listen through this album on this setup at least once to give a proper opinion on each track (that I absolutely it as a whole, I can already say). So far my favourites are 1, 4 and 7. Even though I really like DazeoOL I have yet to learn to really appreciate Night@12PM. I am listening to track 5 right now, but I should really go to bed...
  14. I like the tracks in this thread. I should really check out cydonia's album.
  15. I'm listening to "Eternal Bliss - Upgrade Your Mind" right now and it's very good imo. What about albums like "GMS - Emergency Broadcast System" or "Eskimo - Balloonatic Part 1"? I really love how these ooze with energy. Sure, they're very accessible, and probably a bit (or more than a bit) cheesy, but I think it is very appealing, emotional music that is not too simple and far from unimaginative.
  16. Is this supposed to be a documentary or mockumentary? The doc/mockumentary itself, the party, the people and even what they say - everything appears so pretentious to me, I can't help but wonder: is this real? "Yes, the music sucks [...]"
  17. This is for 24 euro a month. I think it's quite expensive, but it's a very reliable service. I think there were some service interruptions with durations of a few hours each 3 or 4 years ago, but nothing else like that for probably over 2 years now.
