  1. Seraph that mindset was sooo last year man
  2. This is an awesome acid kind of goa trance, really great track! Hope to hear more of this artist
  3. Collaborations always make the most interesting results Wish you all the best Michael!
  4. My question is what kind of compatible hardware units/controllers do you like to use with said mixing software This is something I massively need to get into. How is deckadance by the way?
  5. I was talking with him some time ago and found out he uses the same software as I do for Aerosis. We're like the only FL studio users...so I've already suggested the idea to Peter It may happen someday
  6. Haha, excelent choice on the voice sample
  7. Oh, thanks for pointing out Yeah I'm interested in comments like this if people feel there is something that really irks them, likewise if there is something they really like. More often than not, some things that one person doesn't like is what another does like, so I take comments with a grain of salt, but otherwise take them very seriously Thanks amphiton [edit] Actually, if Jon Cocco was here... Hehehe
  8. Already looks like this'll be the release of 2008 So much is in this and the story is woven with such pationate detail. These guys Anoebis and Mars work very hard and very legitimiately, and they're doing more than an amazing job so far We have these guys to think for really uniting goa in this day and age and passing it on - and it'll only grow from here!
  9. As narated by Dragonfly records - they put up a blog on their myspace with a pretty good assessment of the scene http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...logID=345855953 http://www.myspace.com/dragonflyrecords I thought its a good idea to share this here
  10. Hey so I use a mac in these digital art classes I'm taking now. I found out that the right click is actually the ctrl key + the normal click, and that the actual ctrl key is the mac key. Now I have my precious functionalities back and see the mac as basically a really cool guy I'd like to get to know, just like in the commercials. No really, both kinds of machines are great and mostly the same thing I can see the appeal of the mac though for users who never could get over their PC.
  11. To sum up this topic
  12. They buy a mac just to get logic? Well why do they get logic - because everything is already setup for them. IMO its a waste of money to spend a grand total of 1100 just for logic, and moreso when you lock yourself out of most other software out there. I'm on PC because I built this rig myself 4 years ago for $500 and its still a very strong computer, which for production allows me a wide pallette of options that I can pick for myself, rather than having cookie cutter bundles included as "productivity software" which a mac does Thats the difference from PC to mac, from Mac to PC they just hate windows and think everyone who uses a PC and says its as easy as a mac are elitist pricks. I dunno man, I've seen some logic producers and they are quite womanly imo Joking ofcourse, but are you serious?? If you wanna talk like that macs are nothing but metrosexual ego boosters - pride in not conforming and "not owning a PC" Like okay as nemo says it doesn't matter at all they both are legit computers, just mac users really feel like they need to put it into their lifestyle and proclaim how much better a mac is and then get upset about it when a PC user tells them thats bullshit just invest a weekend of your time to set up your PC properly and customize it
  13. People get macs because they come as a huge package with lots of ready to use software - so you can get down and dirty doing things on the computer rather than having to set things up yourself. You trade off freedom for immediate use - its really a computer for people who want the easy way into doing productivity stuff on their computer. PCs offer more performance and options and flexibility always - provided you are there to set it up that way. Today basically your CPU is the only limiting factor in what you can do in the studio with virtual sound - the more performance headroom you have the more things you can have going on at the same time before the CPU maxes out and the sound gets choppy and can no longer be worked with in real time.
  14. But then how would you deal with building the stereo image of the sound - if you just duplicate the right channel into the left it'll still sound mono, or what I mean is it'll have no dynamics or width to the sound - unless I'm sure they process this in somehow but that I don't know Colin to the rescue?
  15. This will also help you understand things abit: http://www.tweakheadz.com/guide.htm Theres alot involved in making audio sound good, too much stuff to talk about generally really, but as veracohr says - the more you do it the better you will get - as for things on CDs - an audio engineer has increased the sound quality by mastering - something that your own music does not have unless you find ways of doing it yourself.
  16. Can you post a link to your song so we can hear it?
  17. Yeah, all true. I suppose its like asking a painter what he paints first... you'll always get a response like "just whatever man"
  18. Can we hear more music from you Artifact?
  19. 1200 Mics isn't goa trance, huge error
  20. Hi Thanks
  21. Normalize the sound after ripping. Your ripping software may have this feature, otherwise a free program you can use for this sort of thing and other ways of editing sound is goldwave www.goldwave.com
  22. I think its the only goatechpsy christmas album too!
  23. Just listened to all of these. The most NHJO work to date! Surreal stuff, I don't know whats real anymore...
  24. I ran into this too, if you start by making a loop and trying to build off that, ala making a loop of what the middle of your track will sound like - you will start hitting brick walls and not know what to do or where to take the track, or it'll come out jumbled and disorganized. However that is a good way to explore your synths and sounds and test them to see if they sound good together, like building your pallette of sound so to speak. Do this enough and you'll be able to start building a library of sounds to use, then you can just pull up a lead, background, sweep, crash etc when you need a new element to your track. Once you have all your colors together, remove your sketchwork and begin painting the track from the very begginning. Once you do this however, if you want to produce logically and progress the track easily, do a very quick intro building your bass in, kick, percussions, background melody, up until a crash and a break until your lead will start - if your composition is good the track will write itself from there. As it becomes more complete I start thinking how to be more creative with the progression and beats and try to do things that I haven't heard before - then once the composition is sounding complete (beginning middle and end) I'll go over it all start to finish a bunch of times layering in fx, pads, anything cool and crazy - then I will go and do the complete intro and outtro - I do those last because I like them to foreshadow themes of the song you will hear later - also you can do much much much more creative things doing this last since you know what your track sounds like now and you can make the intro and outtro meaningful rather than something generic. When you guys hear more aerosis in the future this sort of detail will become something you recognize in my music =)
  25. Wonderful music, have you thought of showing this to suntrip?
