Ok guys, just out of curiosity... Am listening to KLF's Chill Out, and thought: what are these timeless chillout classics? You know, stuff that has even (but not necessarily) been in mainstream charts... brilliant tracks that everyone seems to know and like? For example: The KLF - Madrugada Eterna The Orb - Little Fluffy Clouds FSOL - Papua New Guinea There's lots more out there, but can't think of any others at the moment (memory severely impaired). Well, even recent classics count, such as Ott's Splitting an Atom. Catch my drift? Help me out here!

De-Classified used to be for sale on amazon.co.uk for not so much. 7 GBP or something like that?

For my taste, Ultimae is as good as it gets. Have yet to be disappointed about a single release, and even though I own maybe 8 or 9 albums, I plan to get a lot more. They rock so badly! Aleph Zero ranked pretty high too, until Random Thoughts and the awful Omnimotion album. Interchill has released a lot of good shit, but also way too much "psychill"-ethnic blabla. IMHO, yes! There's so many more Ultimae releases I _have_ to get, including the whole Fahrenheit series. Can't wait for them to rerelease the thing as a set. At the moment, Ultimae is topnotch for me indeed.

Ok, that was enough for me. They were already on my to-buy list, but this means I really have to get them. I have been an enormous fan of everything FSOL has put out, until the Isness. Haven't listened to the hippie-rock-amorphous-stuff well enough to know whether I like it or not, but the one thing that made me doubt these new releases a little bit, was a lack of sound quality and coherence. All their best older stuff were very story-like, sinking-deep-into-the-music tales. I was afraid these were gonna be just leftovers and scraps, but well... I am a collecter when it comes to FSOL, so I guess I'll go get this. Thanks for the small review, PKS. Ontopic: The KLF - The White Room (didn't know there was so much vocal stuff in there...) The KLF - Chill Out The Herbaliser - Blow Your Headphones VA - Funkjazztical Tricknology (I love every single Ninja Tune VA)

What music are you listening to right now?

Mindless Drug Hoover - The Reefer Song (Grass Garden of Child's Mix) Hahahaha. This is gonna be in my next set. -
So you got them, eh? I've meaning to buy them, but 18 euros a piece seems a little expensive... not knowing for sure if they're going to be good, or just random scraps put to together to sell more albums. Admitted, everything FSOL should be gold, but still... Care to do a little review? I'm really curious!

Younger Brother live was one of the most psychedelic liveshows with band I've ever seen. The only thing I didn't like that much was "I am a freak... I am unique". Dunno, sounded a bit lame. But I agree, All I Want sounds heavenly... Can't wait for this!! -
still no Eat Static?
-
Even more today, I thought these were MIA, but they were sent to the wrong address; Orbital - Brown Album Eat Static - In the Nude! the Orb - Asylum part 1 and part 2 (in a really cool cardboard box) and the Orb - Perpetual Dawn (but I already had that one...) Good day today! \o/

After a first quick listen: pretty good. Glass's musics lends itself really well for more upbeat (breaks, minimal, techy) remixes. Good shit.

Cheers The even greater thing about this was that all in all this order cost me $43. Total. I guess it's because mostly promos but who cares? Oh, thanks for the recommendation, I'm going to put Dzihan & Kamien on right now.

Know the Boss-a-troniq albums?

Weren't we supposed to have a track finished by now? Oh, and trippy bossa sounds really good too. Maybe some breaks in there as well.

Shit, I couldn't help myself. Just pre-ordered. -
I have. Very organic, natural, meditative. Pretty good for tripping with your eyes closed. I like it.

[edit] that review makes me drool man... am I getting excited about this release? -
Hey guys, I was just wondering... what do you use to records your sets? I'd prefer something in audio format (mp3, ogg, whatever) instead of having to use something like minidiscs or whatnot. I am crazily lazy, so I prefer something that I can just plug into my computer, with a USB cable or something. I know I'm asking for much, but it's just gotta be simple, cause I'll probably use it for just one task (i.e. recording sets). At home I'm always in a different mood than when I spin for a crowd. And it depends a lot on the crowd and at the setting, and well, my state-of-mind too. But, that is offtopic. So, what do you use? Do you use anything other than a laptop (which I do not have)? What's good, what's cheap, etc. My eternal thanksgiving-turkey, Snaap
