  1. Satori does have 8 tracks and Sean had remastered them all for release on a single album. That fell to the wayside though... It's a shame, as the remasters sound wonderful
  2. There's really nothing like The Nuns. That said, I'd recommend Green Oms "Coming Through in Waves" and all of Tongue and Groove's stuff.
  3. I literally hooked up my turntables at the new place last night and plugged them into the receiver this evening. As I slowly go through the stacks of records throughout my place and get them properly shelved and sorted, I'll keep watch for a track like this...
  4. Cosmosis - In Yer Face Part 2 ??
  5. i heard Darshan play a live set last year at Symbiosis and it was fucking AWESOME. It was nothing I was familiar with and I wish he would release it. that said, it was more techno oriented than the first album and you still might not like it. I loved it though...
  6. *cough* *cough* don't forget Doof shirts!!! *cough*
  7. snagged! thank you
  8. Totally. Was a bit misleading in some of the marketing. Speaking of JJ Abrahams, if I haven't already mentioned Fringe (too lazy to check previous pages), I'm gonna go ahead and recommend it again. Fringe is one of the great sci-fi long-form stories to have been made. 100 episodes with a great arc that you can truly find seeds of the last season within the scenes of the first. While I wasn't 100% a fan of each episode, I give that show my full support for scope and execution.
  9. Super 8 was JJ Abrahams love letter to Spielberg, but was not a Spielberg movie directly. =) Season 4 of Sherlock was great. The first episode felt a bit off, but I actually liked the way everything developed and where we're left for the potential final season.
  10. I got to spend a very special weekend at a lovely beach house this past weekend and played two nice sets. One of them included the guest of honor being able to blast off with a very special... fuel for the first time. Plastic was the track of the moment. That song still owns all others
  11. The Visitors Beast Snake Thing Uudio Slinky Wizard
  12. I don't. I think their profit distribution model is whack and I think the concept of Spotify making millions off of the backs of artists is rather weak. It would be one thing if Spotify funded recording deals, paid to produce, and give artists advances; but they don't. They take a finished product and take 50% of revenue (a revenue calculation which is less than fair to any artist receiving less than the average number of plays). If I pay $5 (or whatever it is per month) and play nothing but Chemical Brothers for the month. They don't even get my $5. They get their portion of total plays combined with the entire site's other artists number of plays. I use my money each month to simply buy music from artists. I don't use the free app either, as the entire company rubs me the wrong way. Same with both Apple and Google Music. Maybe I'm just stuck in the past and an un-evolved luddite, but it's just not for me at the time.
  13. You can enable downloads on soundcloud. It's the clicking of a box.
  14. Yeah, I really like the UX cover. A good cover not only reproduces the original, it also brings something new to the table. UX's version of Radioactivity is a beautiful retelling of the Kraftwerk story and I'm definitely playing it in a set sometime
  15. This one? http://goaconstrictor.com/music/fabulous-christmas/ http://goaconstrictor.com/audio/fabulous_christmas.mp3
  16. I think I'll be able to do something moderate during a summer afternoon BBQ. I'm thinking that I can do fairly well in the basement though, since it'll be more dampened by the earth around it.
  17. I bought a house to listen to psytrance in. Not sure if that counts though
  18. I've always had a special place in my heart for Plastic. It's slow, deep, pulses with intense psychedelia, and really channels the energy of UFO encounter.
  19. See!! This thread just got awesome =)
  20. This thread would be way cooler if it was filled with tracks that don't have YouTube videos, thereby forcing people to seek out the recommendations through other means. Kind of a scavenger hunt of sorts... :-)
  21. Classic Space Tribe is something that had to be experienced at that moment. It didn't necessarily age well, but it was an extremely stepping stone to where we are today.

  23. If you ever throw a party in Oregon, USA; I promise to attend.
