Hey, that is nice stuff! I like the groove that comes with it ... nice, nice Always kinda liked Freq ... this is no exception!
-
oh hehe, I was already searching for them and wondered where they were

Easy one. for upbeat: S-Range - Space for chill: Carbon Based Lifeforms - Hydroponic Garden

I read the post and there was only one track instantly popping into my mind: Solar Fields - Electric Fluid ... it's not beatless, but it produces exactly this floating feeling in me because of the synths that are used especially in the second half of the song! There really are some floating passages in this one IMO ... and yes, it has a little beat, but very gentle, not deep, but flat, just to accommodate it. You should get the Fahrenheit Project Part II CD, this song was released on that compilation .. together with Kheztal - Glaciales Lacrimae, another song that kinda fits your description a bit ... and it contains various other very very good chill songs (maybe not for your case here, but overall)...

I voted for the 1991-1995 option...

Psytrance CDs which doesn't fit on your shelf...
RTP replied to DeathPosture's topic in General Psytrance
true, true ... a scratch on a digipak (and even if it's a rather small one you hardly notice) is like a small catastrophe - you never can get rid of it again ... a CD jewel case you just can replace if it has too many scratches. -
GOD DAMN YES! Finally somebody says it! Word up to this!
-
Aha, I see, so that's those letters ... Ialready thought about asking here interesting it's the first CD I see with such thing!

eeeh ... Logic Bomb is something completely different to Son Kite or Atmos??? So you mean you don't get the hype behind Logic Bomb. I'm with you on that since I saw this crappy liveset once ... oh, no memories please, it's painful... And you don't get the new progressive stuff like Son Kite or Atmos. Isn't that what you mean? But I'm not with you on that. Son Kite are geniouses. Atmos too. (It's just also the fact that mentioning different styles in one sentence lets me burp up with a sour taste, ya know...) Ever tried Antix?

Upbeat: S-Range - Another Theory: The Remixes

An idealist and a bit communist view I like it ... I had the same view not long ago. I dreamt of how good this all here can be when everybody would work his pensum for the society and get something in return - for there is not so much work to do if you really divide it up and you have more freetime I gave up that view though. Me having this view wouldn't change a thing. EVERYBODY must have this view, otherwise there will always be black sheeps who want to get rich on behalf of others. And this will never come true, there will always be black sheep. Anyway, I don't wanna get too offtopic here. I find it right that artists get paid for tracks. It's effort, it needs equipment and the artist needs something to live too. If the artist would get a job instead to get the money he would be tired in the evenings and would rather prefer to spend his fretime with freinds han sitting in the studio and thus he would probably produce just 10 percent of the music - even if he really really wants it - which he produces now that it is his "fulltime job", you know? Artists deserve to be paid. Not too much though. There is a differnce between getting paid and getting over-hyped and making big big amounts of cash, you know? The latter thing is not alright!

Yes ... and without help like looking in Winamp or looking through your CD collection or anything! I find it quite interesting! How many artists can I remember freely out of my brain? Psytrance CDs which doesn't fit on your shelf...

VA - The Buddha Experience - Zen Trance This one is a son of a bitch. It's a cardboard box ... probably such one DP bitched about, but I dunno that release. It's a pain in the ass to open it because there's just a small place where you have to ram your fingernail into to "hold" the bottom (there is no other way!) and then you pull the top apart. But it's a pain in the ass. You have to use a certain force to open it since the cardboard fits somewhat tightly, so when you finally have enough force you litterally rip it apart and the CD holders can't take the force and thus the CDs always fly out of their holders! Fortunately I have not yet managed to have one fall on the floor or wherever... What a crap -
I'm with you on the Vibrasphere one ... and on the Son Kite one ... and of course on the Carbon Based Lifeforms one! AND THE GREAT NEWS: A NEW CARBON BASED LIFEFORMS ALBUM WILL COME IN SEPTEMBER! (really, look on their site!)

$ 500 - AVERAGE. That means bad tracks get $0, nothing at all, but really really perfect ones can get up to $ 1000. I'd hardly ever pay so much though! So I'd more or less say $ 500 average ... actually would depend on a percent rate that I like the track ... many tracks of nowadays I don't like more than 25% actually though

hihi, that's a good question AFAIK it's DJ Acan who's the chef there .. but the point is, I haven't heard anything of mister Acan since ... well, two years maybe ... back then he was a resident on Suntribe's psy gatherings ... nowadays the Suntribe events don't exist anymore and mister Acan likes to dj more housy stuff in some clubs of Vienna I don't go to - if I heard something about him at all! Seriously, I have no clue. I just get the newsletter. The label is most definitely not k.o. though I would say. Just be patient

RA on SYNERGETIC RECORDS? I'd doubt this. I know Synergetic Records fairly well, it's an austrian label and I have subscribed to the official newsletter and I haven't got any information about any upcoming stuff by RA. No info on the website either. Synergetic records has a compilation out with a track of RA ( http://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/syn/syn1cd002.html ... look at the last track), but that one was released in 2003.

Yes, this one really can make me chuckle because it's funny ... I just love the combination of the bass with effects Shiva Chandra stuff can make me grin sometimes too
-
Is the new one like the first one? I have heard it's a bit different, but not too much. Is the style still so intense? If it's still so intense I will not get that one. I have the first one and it's too intense, it blows me outta my mind, can't listen to this at home, too intense stuff, it makes me wanna scream "Ambient, ambient ... quickly or I'll explode!" ... I can't take this stuff. It's not oldschool, it's freaking intense fast brain-kamikaze music for me which I can only listen to very, very, very seldom - the first Filteria has only been in my CD player twice!
-
No ... I don't even own a single Shpongle album and still won't buy this boxset. I think Shpongle is not that good, you know? Never understood the fuss about it. I rather spend my money on other, better albums... But I just wated to state that a booklet is a cool thing! Faar too seldom in our scene Please, people, make more booklets! Please, please!
-
HOLY F*CK! S-RANGE - 2001 has exactly this sample and I love this song so much because of it! Damn! Did S-Range steal that one? Please no
-
NO, HE WASN'T! He fled away in the trouble as I have heard, because people were rather caring to help the one lying on the floor in a blood pool than to catch the fucker! Sometimes these hippies are too peaceful for my taste. A TRUE psytrancer ... my gosh, you know what I mean ... the people that really are into the music, that are critical with new releases and relly look on quality and not on "bam bam bam ... - break - bam bam bam..." low-intelligence monotonous unoriginal fullon productions that overflood the psytrance market of today. People that really listen to the stuff at home, buy records/CDs to support the artists or try to bring something good to the scene in another way. These people will die out, because it will break their heart to see how the load of commercialized, aggressive morons, that are attracted by all methods that the industry that will come and overtake this scene uses, brutally rape their beloved wonderful music and drench it into a pool of hate, violence and negative vibes where you already get bad words thrown at you when you look at somebody's girl or touch their arm accidentally while dancing... A few, some very very few little secret parties will remain, taking place once or twice a year, but that's all that will remain and that's not what I would call an alive scene.
