  1. Is the new one like the first one? I have heard it's a bit different, but not too much. Is the style still so intense? If it's still so intense I will not get that one. I have the first one and it's too intense, it blows me outta my mind, can't listen to this at home, too intense stuff, it makes me wanna scream "Ambient, ambient ... quickly or I'll explode!" ... I can't take this stuff. It's not oldschool, it's freaking intense fast brain-kamikaze music for me which I can only listen to very, very, very seldom - the first Filteria has only been in my CD player twice!
  2. No ... I don't even own a single Shpongle album and still won't buy this boxset. I think Shpongle is not that good, you know? Never understood the fuss about it. I rather spend my money on other, better albums... But I just wated to state that a booklet is a cool thing! Faar too seldom in our scene Please, people, make more booklets! Please, please!
  3. HOLY F*CK! S-RANGE - 2001 has exactly this sample and I love this song so much because of it! Damn! Did S-Range steal that one? Please no
  4. NO, HE WASN'T! He fled away in the trouble as I have heard, because people were rather caring to help the one lying on the floor in a blood pool than to catch the fucker! Sometimes these hippies are too peaceful for my taste. A TRUE psytrancer ... my gosh, you know what I mean ... the people that really are into the music, that are critical with new releases and relly look on quality and not on "bam bam bam ... - break - bam bam bam..." low-intelligence monotonous unoriginal fullon productions that overflood the psytrance market of today. People that really listen to the stuff at home, buy records/CDs to support the artists or try to bring something good to the scene in another way. These people will die out, because it will break their heart to see how the load of commercialized, aggressive morons, that are attracted by all methods that the industry that will come and overtake this scene uses, brutally rape their beloved wonderful music and drench it into a pool of hate, violence and negative vibes where you already get bad words thrown at you when you look at somebody's girl or touch their arm accidentally while dancing... A few, some very very few little secret parties will remain, taking place once or twice a year, but that's all that will remain and that's not what I would call an alive scene.
  5. Harr, I have it already ... bought it on thursday I can recommend it to everybody that is curious how new S-Range sounds! Six tracks for the price of a single, very good deal that is!
  6. we have more celebrities here than you think
  7. Well, I would want one ... booklets are a really cool thing, that I unfortunately miss in most psytrance releases - most of them just have a 2 page leaflet And LP booklets, they are the pwnage ... really, I have one 2xLP that has a booklet and it's absolutely totally awesome ... so big pictures, so beautiful ... it totally pwns like ... like something that really pwns! More booklets in psytrance! Frecking please please! Because if you make good booklets, then even more people will BUY the music and not download it, seriously!
  8. and what's with the fullon crap? That stuff is BOOMING! And just wait for the first movements of "music-industrialisation" in the psyscene! I mean, professional music-industrialisation, like in the generic trance scene with Tiesto and such. Big concerns will see big business - and ohoho, be prepared for this onslaught! I know what you mean, that the TRUE psytrancers will leave and the scene "dies" in your eyes, but in fact it will get bigger and inflated by introducing more Skazi clones attracting the gabbas and trancers and all the chav and prolo scum of the techno events, oh, just wait! And don't forget the club/house crowd! The scene will be far from dying seen from this point of view - of course, internally it will be dead as a graveyard and the safe outposts on the net of people that really LISTEN to the music at home and such will disappear too as the people who have lived this style for many years already turn away in disgust at the commercialisation and the brutal rape of musical talent and creativity and as all what was once beautiful and happy is mashed into this big moneymaking industry apparatus, inflated to some gigantomanic "must-haves for everybody" told by the marketing firms and adverts going on and the small beautiful gigs of the old times will turn to gigantomanic events where airport hangars are transformed to "giga goa party zones" where druggies, chavs and other scum will dance their E-rushes off and violence will take place when the dudes overreact on the influence of crappy speed and other impure drugs ... okay, that was a horror vision, don't take it too honest ... but a weak version of this might be coming - in fact, it's already going on a bit, I have experienced it myself - some peaceful dancer getting beaten up by chav speed junkie on a peaceful psy party, it is already the case!
  9. Psytrance bigger? Well, yes, maybe ... but I think it spreads up already in so many genres like prog, fullon, scando trance, darkpsy, oldschool and so many more because each genre has subgenres too so that I say each genre on its own will have its own future. Some might even die. But in general of course psy will get bigger and bigger overall seen and it will merge with other electronic music styles at the edges - which is actually already the case...
  10. Well, yay, I finally have heard it Ant I must say that DP's review covers it up pretty well. My favourite is also track 5, that's the best one, really, a blaster, this will kick the dudes out of their pants that have been into the progressive side of S-Range and hope for something fresh - well, actually most songs of him now will do that ... really beautiful end this track has too! And track 1, that's a good one too ... have already been a fan of Chromosome since he remixed S-Range's Test Tones ... the Test Tones Remix was better than this one though (it loses a bit of potential after the middle), but still... And the second half of track 2 is good aswell - although I have seen a short live video clip where he performed that one better with additional synths and compared to that it doesn't sound that rich! That gives hope for a good live show though ... hope some organizer will bring him to Vienna this year Third track has a nice melody ... but the rest of it doesn't make up for too much The remaining two tracks are ... mmm yo, so lala, not bad ... I liked the original Spaced Out All Day better ... but respect for the ambient Another Theory track, it was a nice new try and it's not too bad... Actually unfortunately I have the worry that much of all this stuff will surely not have the power to keep me entertained for more than a few months. Like Space, there will never be another Space ... or 2001 ... these albums never get old, I think I'll listen to them for years still and they will sound as fresh as new ... this stuff can lose potential, seriously, for example the compilation tracks he made recently, I don't listen to them so much anymore, I'm "getting used to them", they're still nice, but they are not that special anymore ... new S-Range stuff is all hype and happy and perfect in the beginning, but after several spins in your player you kinda get used to it and it might be still quite nice, but it doesn't give you the fire and the energy it gave you at the beginning - old S-Range was not like that. You know, the new stuff burns with much energy, but it burns fast - the old stuff burns slowly, with not so much energy, but it burns for a damn long time! Or is it me that has changed? Anyway, I suggest this CD to everyone that has not heard much of new S-Range stuff and is curious how it sounds like ... you get much music for a relatively cheap price (especially if you order some stuff anyway, then you don't even have to pay extra shipping or just very little) and you get to know the style
  11. Mmh not really, I already know plenty of tracks of them and as I said above his past stuff is not even remotely as good as Wired! MORGANIXX is a BIT like it (because of the fact that I said above that Mogana works on more melodies in Magnetrixx project lately ... I even think they have merged completely and Morganixx project is on ice, but that's just a speculation...), but also only remotely ... still fans of Wired might want to check that out as melodies and elements come from the same creative person in this case
  12. YAAAY, today I finally got: S-RANGE - ANOTHER THEORY REMIXES !!! (...and it's about freckin' time, don't you think ... at least the fact that I got six tracks for the price of an ordinay single outweighs my grumpyness about the fact that I've been waiting for this damn thing for over two years!) And Massimo Santucci - Al Dente ... because it was cheap.
  13. Wow, I'm blown away! The thing is that: I saw Magnetrixx live a few months ago. Well, it was announced "Magnetrixx and Morganixx", to be precise. I heard a big load of awesome tracks there ... but I did not know them. They did not have this typical Magnetrixx style I knew from the past at all, so I thought it were Morganixx tracks ... and thus I concentrated my search on finding new Morganixx, because in the past I liked Morganixx better than Magnetrixx and I thought that such good tracks only can come from Morganixx. Just recently though I realized, that I was wrong - fortunately! It was because of the first track on the Goa Head 21 ... Magnetrixx - Probably, which is also the first track of the new album. And there it was, a track I recognized! And it was not this typical Magnetrixx style he had before (which I didn't even like that much) like on the earlier albums - in this track there was a lot more going on, it was a little faster and overall much more activity going on than in his earlier tracks which I found rather boring compared to this one! I LOVED Probably! So I finally came on the right track! And just minutes ago it came back to my mind and I checked on Saikosounds for samples - and woot, I recognize every second track of that album! Skaphander, Zipfel, Wired ... AWESOME! I LOVE IT .. Magnetrixx, whom I didn't care much about earlier apart from Tohuwabohu or Gluonball, clearly has developed to a really cool project! (And I wasn't even SO wrong by saying the elements come from the Morganixx side, because Morgana is the creative one who delivers the ideas for effects and melodies ) Now ... is there something similar out there?
  14. Well ... I don't want to spoil your dream, but I would be careful with such prognoses. It's like saying an athlete will win a gold medal at the olympic games and then he makes a mistake and is out ... know what I mean? Don't dream too much Okay, let's not be so negative. I'd very much appreciate it myself if RA came back to making music ... I like RAs music very much, for me it's some of the best concerning oldschool... And about Lost Buddha ... didn't he call himself Amiabha Buddha later? Or has he switched back to his old name? Or is that a completely other guy?
  15. try Prex - S4 that is dark for me although I don't think you might like it so much Radi, I think when you seek music with a similar sound to "Rammstein without guitars" I suggest taking a peek into the industrial genre. Something like Frontline Assembly might float your boat more than all the "dark psy" stuff there is ... because it's a different sound than "dark psy". Maybe. Just a guess. I might be wrong though
  16. I only checked Flying Cowboys (since I have those "digestion problems" you mentioned there above ). Very nice track, but towards the end (from 6:43 on) it gets somewhat too ... well, can't describe it, it feels like there's aggressive fluffyness going on and I don't like it, you know ... too much "jingling" in a way you know, I don't like that so much. A pity, because it was a nice track with good production sound and a very nice and catchy melody that I liked pretty much up to that point... Just my personal taste though...
  17. Whoa wow ... that is a cool album title ... hope it will be some kind of concept, I'd very much appreciate a concept like that, a musical 80 minute trip around the world ... BPMs look promising too
  18. RTP

    bpm

nice classification ... although I'd set differnt limits ... especially for the Mind/Spriritual border. I agree that high bpm is only good for my body anymore, my mind can't follow it and digest it so good anymore. For the mind it's good when it's ambient actually ... or very low bpm. That is good for the mind. And for the spirit. Well, it depends on the music too. My most favourite stuff is the groovy stuff lately. Higher bpm I only use for fast running anymore - or when I'm very happy about something I put it on and dance through the flat
  19. RTP

    A sad day.

Oh ... that's not good ... but not too sad, since you say you won't disappear completely from here - that would be sad! Anyways, I wish you good luck, man ... and come back often
  20. The intro track of Carbon Based Lifeforms' Hydroponic Garden, Central Plains, is absolutely great too BTW
  21. yes ... and IMHO Fill The Hat is Atmos' best track altogether too! I also like the intro on Entheogenic - Spontaneous Illumination very much!
  22. hmm, yes ... people are far too different and individual to each other than to just judge them by the music they listen to. Still, I believe there is an overall average, a certain tendency to certain "reactions in the brain" - reactions that can be extended on a much wider scale than just the musical/"perception of sound" one - among people that listen to a specific genre of music, especially among those who listen to one genre mostly/only. I know, that easily leads into prejudging people by the music they hear and that's not good at all and therefore the reason why you gotta be very careful with that! But I still believe there is somewhat of a general average tendency, you know?
  23. The actual problem with convincing people is, that the people who listen to other music won't "get" psy music ... you know what I mean? I mean, when I play a track to somebody and he/she says that it's just as uninteresting as techno and I say "Wait, wait, listen, do you hear this (and this) effect? Or this melody? Isn't it awesome? I totally love it!" and get all grinny they mostly just shake their head and give me a "WTF?" expression. You know, I just think that the people who are into other music have a different brain - well, I mean a different way they percieve music with their brain ... they usually have a completely different mentality alltogether and a different approach to music and sound than us psytrancers. They are not in for melodies and effects, you know? They don't even hear them in most cases, mainly because they are not used to listen to music like that because they are coming from a totally different music genre ... they don't "get" all this monotony and yet still the little difference in melody or a sample here or there or an effect or whatever. They don't "get" it - just as I don't "get" other forms of music, classical being the best example! The root problem of it all is, that I don't know people that go to clubs or whatever on weekends like Moni does either ... such people who are used to the basic soundscape of club music undoubtly find it easier to switch to another electronic music style. I only know metalheads, punks or hiphoppers, there is not a single clubber among all of them - I AM THE ODD ONE OUT! And I have to live with it. I can't convince anybody that I know, because nobody gets the music, you know? And that's also the reason why I always have been going alone on parties until this day...
  24. that is true indeed You must differ between the people who listen to the music only at parties and the people that really are into it music-wise and listen to it at home and wherever too! The people that only listen to the stuff once in a while will most likely not have anything against fullon or all this other "low-talent" music, because they listen only once in a while to it. But when you really are in the scene and go to a lot of parties and listen to new stuff and psyradio stations at home and you always hear the same basic sound concept you get bored quickly and say that because all is so similar that the artists are all copycats from eachother with no talent and such...
