  1. Mmh not really, I already know plenty of tracks of them and as I said above his past stuff is not even remotely as good as Wired! MORGANIXX is a BIT like it (because of the fact that I said above that Mogana works on more melodies in Magnetrixx project lately ... I even think they have merged completely and Morganixx project is on ice, but that's just a speculation...), but also only remotely ... still fans of Wired might want to check that out as melodies and elements come from the same creative person in this case
  2. YAAAY, today I finally got: S-RANGE - ANOTHER THEORY REMIXES !!! (...and it's about freckin' time, don't you think ... at least the fact that I got six tracks for the price of an ordinay single outweighs my grumpyness about the fact that I've been waiting for this damn thing for over two years!) And Massimo Santucci - Al Dente ... because it was cheap.
  3. Wow, I'm blown away! The thing is that: I saw Magnetrixx live a few months ago. Well, it was announced "Magnetrixx and Morganixx", to be precise. I heard a big load of awesome tracks there ... but I did not know them. They did not have this typical Magnetrixx style I knew from the past at all, so I thought it were Morganixx tracks ... and thus I concentrated my search on finding new Morganixx, because in the past I liked Morganixx better than Magnetrixx and I thought that such good tracks only can come from Morganixx. Just recently though I realized, that I was wrong - fortunately! It was because of the first track on the Goa Head 21 ... Magnetrixx - Probably, which is also the first track of the new album. And there it was, a track I recognized! And it was not this typical Magnetrixx style he had before (which I didn't even like that much) like on the earlier albums - in this track there was a lot more going on, it was a little faster and overall much more activity going on than in his earlier tracks which I found rather boring compared to this one! I LOVED Probably! So I finally came on the right track! And just minutes ago it came back to my mind and I checked on Saikosounds for samples - and woot, I recognize every second track of that album! Skaphander, Zipfel, Wired ... AWESOME! I LOVE IT .. Magnetrixx, whom I didn't care much about earlier apart from Tohuwabohu or Gluonball, clearly has developed to a really cool project! (And I wasn't even SO wrong by saying the elements come from the Morganixx side, because Morgana is the creative one who delivers the ideas for effects and melodies ) Now ... is there something similar out there?
  4. Well ... I don't want to spoil your dream, but I would be careful with such prognoses. It's like saying an athlete will win a gold medal at the olympic games and then he makes a mistake and is out ... know what I mean? Don't dream too much Okay, let's not be so negative. I'd very much appreciate it myself if RA came back to making music ... I like RAs music very much, for me it's some of the best concerning oldschool... And about Lost Buddha ... didn't he call himself Amiabha Buddha later? Or has he switched back to his old name? Or is that a completely other guy?
  5. try Prex - S4 that is dark for me although I don't think you might like it so much Radi, I think when you seek music with a similar sound to "Rammstein without guitars" I suggest taking a peek into the industrial genre. Something like Frontline Assembly might float your boat more than all the "dark psy" stuff there is ... because it's a different sound than "dark psy". Maybe. Just a guess. I might be wrong though
  6. I only checked Flying Cowboys (since I have those "digestion problems" you mentioned there above ). Very nice track, but towards the end (from 6:43 on) it gets somewhat too ... well, can't describe it, it feels like there's aggressive fluffyness going on and I don't like it, you know ... too much "jingling" in a way you know, I don't like that so much. A pity, because it was a nice track with good production sound and a very nice and catchy melody that I liked pretty much up to that point... Just my personal taste though...
  7. Whoa wow ... that is a cool album title ... hope it will be some kind of concept, I'd very much appreciate a concept like that, a musical 80 minute trip around the world ... BPMs look promising too
  8. RTP

    bpm

nice classification ... although I'd set differnt limits ... especially for the Mind/Spriritual border. I agree that high bpm is only good for my body anymore, my mind can't follow it and digest it so good anymore. For the mind it's good when it's ambient actually ... or very low bpm. That is good for the mind. And for the spirit. Well, it depends on the music too. My most favourite stuff is the groovy stuff lately. Higher bpm I only use for fast running anymore - or when I'm very happy about something I put it on and dance through the flat

    A sad day.

Oh ... that's not good ... but not too sad, since you say you won't disappear completely from here - that would be sad! Anyways, I wish you good luck, man ... and come back often
  10. The intro track of Carbon Based Lifeforms' Hydroponic Garden, Central Plains, is absolutely great too BTW
  11. yes ... and IMHO Fill The Hat is Atmos' best track altogether too! I also like the intro on Entheogenic - Spontaneous Illumination very much!
  12. hmm, yes ... people are far too different and individual to each other than to just judge them by the music they listen to. Still, I believe there is an overall average, a certain tendency to certain "reactions in the brain" - reactions that can be extended on a much wider scale than just the musical/"perception of sound" one - among people that listen to a specific genre of music, especially among those who listen to one genre mostly/only. I know, that easily leads into prejudging people by the music they hear and that's not good at all and therefore the reason why you gotta be very careful with that! But I still believe there is somewhat of a general average tendency, you know?
  13. The actual problem with convincing people is, that the people who listen to other music won't "get" psy music ... you know what I mean? I mean, when I play a track to somebody and he/she says that it's just as uninteresting as techno and I say "Wait, wait, listen, do you hear this (and this) effect? Or this melody? Isn't it awesome? I totally love it!" and get all grinny they mostly just shake their head and give me a "WTF?" expression. You know, I just think that the people who are into other music have a different brain - well, I mean a different way they percieve music with their brain ... they usually have a completely different mentality alltogether and a different approach to music and sound than us psytrancers. They are not in for melodies and effects, you know? They don't even hear them in most cases, mainly because they are not used to listen to music like that because they are coming from a totally different music genre ... they don't "get" all this monotony and yet still the little difference in melody or a sample here or there or an effect or whatever. They don't "get" it - just as I don't "get" other forms of music, classical being the best example! The root problem of it all is, that I don't know people that go to clubs or whatever on weekends like Moni does either ... such people who are used to the basic soundscape of club music undoubtly find it easier to switch to another electronic music style. I only know metalheads, punks or hiphoppers, there is not a single clubber among all of them - I AM THE ODD ONE OUT! And I have to live with it. I can't convince anybody that I know, because nobody gets the music, you know? And that's also the reason why I always have been going alone on parties until this day...
  14. that is true indeed You must differ between the people who listen to the music only at parties and the people that really are into it music-wise and listen to it at home and wherever too! The people that only listen to the stuff once in a while will most likely not have anything against fullon or all this other "low-talent" music, because they listen only once in a while to it. But when you really are in the scene and go to a lot of parties and listen to new stuff and psyradio stations at home and you always hear the same basic sound concept you get bored quickly and say that because all is so similar that the artists are all copycats from eachother with no talent and such...
  15. It's the same here. I had nobody who introduced me, had to find everything by myself. And everybody that I play psy to because he wants to know what it is when I tell him I listen to it says when he hears it: "oh no, that's tekkno crap, cut that shite, will ya!" (more or less polite). I just can't convince other people who don't know psy to like it And the funny thing is, the people that I come to talk to who know psy are mainly listening to gabba/hardcore and just like the psy music to chill out. So that's nothing for me either. I guess it's just my fate that I will be all alone here liking psy
  16. interesting indeed... thanks for sharing
  17. Etnoscope and Hilight Tribe, that's what comes to my mind but you might already know them, don't you?
  18. I like song titles that are actually german words. But rather freaky ones, not standard ones. Can also be words that actually don't exist - fantasy words so to say. Some examples: Shiva Chandra - Schaukelstuhl Magnetrixx - Tohuwabohu Morganixx - Strolch Auricular - Flugschaukel Sonus - Reisefieber Bitmonx- Morgenlatte ( <- )
  19. Yes, I agree, this track is awesome, I like it very much! You know, when listening to this track I somewhat think Atmos could be described as "the Moby of psytrance" ... in a way Really, this melody, it gives me the same feeling I had back in the days as Moby was played much in the radio ... a bit at least. Anybody agrees?
  20. PSY-HOUSE D-nox & Beckers are on it already
  21. faster paced chillout ... hmmm... I recommend Solar Fields, tracks Elevator Sunshine Girl and Infection 268-7 (both on album Blue Moon Station) ... this is in the style you're looking for ... although it's a little less "deep" and more "trancy" (especially the second one) than the three samples you gave (they sound like good stuff btw!), but you definitely should check it out Also maybe Aes Dana - Summerlands...
  22. Tenacious D - Tribute To The Best Song In The World I suggest you to listen to that ...or, in other words, concerning the topic:
  23. Thanks ... I might try to get another synth then and play around with it. I know it's a long process to get a somewhat decent result. But you know, I just can't always turn knobs and have no proper outcome because I don't know what the knobs will be doing to the waveform and stuff ... so I decided to ask, because I got no good results so far through Google. And obviously it was the right thing, for I'd have never achieved anything with Pro52 alone when it's not designed for any sound I might want. I know it will take long to learn ... and I'm not that naive anymore to think that I will become a somewhat professional music artist one day, haha ... but maybe it will be enough once to have a basic knowledge how such a synth thing works and how it's operated properly to tweak the sound. I don't want to become a pro in any way, but I just want to know - if it isn't good for anything else it can at least help me understand the music better ... and it could even be useful when seeing some psy artist performing live whether he's got some skills or not, you know
  24. Maaan ... yeah, thank you I know I'm looking here a bitty late, somehow this thread slipped me by ... but right before I thought "hey, it's Febuary ... some new S-Range will be coming this month and DP promised to post reviews!" And it's about time some new S-Range is coming ... the album should already have been released two years ago (that's where I heard first news about it that it was going to be released soon), so I'm practically waiting since two years for something to come! And yes, this review indeed something I appreciate very much! Especially because the single has SIX tracks ... that already could be a MCD and not a single, I know MCDs that have less songs on them and cost more! AND IT'S AVAILABLE VIA PSYSHOP! Haha, I think I'm going to make an order soon. My first online order And dear DP, you made a tiny mistake up there above ... Spaced Out All Day was not featured on Space, it was featured on Spirit Zone's Global Psychedelic Trance Vol. 9
  25. Uuuh, it's very hard to name just three, but I'll try: ETNOSCOPE SUN PROJECT KOXBOX / SAIKO POD ... to this one I must add that Frank was alone and he had to take one of our local DJs (Acan) as a partner to deliver us still some live passages and they did it remarkably well ... it was not fully Koxbox live, I know, but Frank still performed a 5 hour set, with live elements in it where he was supported by Acan. And this unusual and actually unplanned performance was so awesome that it absolutely deserves a mention, I have much respect for artists that still can perform an awesome set (and totally awesome it was!) with as many live elements as possible when their partner is ill. Logic Bomb had the same situation recently and it was a disaster (it was just a DJ set with one synth layer once mixed in live ... really, that's not what I expected, I was very disappointed, Logic Bomb should normally have good performances, they even have a mention further above in this thread)... These were the best. I mean, it's hard to say actually. There were a lot of other really good lives I witnessed: S-Range, Rastaliens, Son Kite, Quantum State, MOS, Infected Mushroom,... and many more...
