I think the difference between progressive trance and progressive psytrance has been explained already, but what I'd like to second is the impression that progressive psytrance of today got more and more sterile and adapted to what's actually progressive trance. In the past there was a bigger difference between these two, which got kind of diluted. The two genres definitely got closer to each other. Which is not always that good. Fortunately there are some artists out there who are engaging in bringing back the spirit of the old style, which involves the substantially bigger difference towards ordinary progressive trance (PANZAR PRODUKTIONZ crew in particular -- a little reference never does harm ). Listen to some of that and then the difference towards the ordinary progressive trance becomes more obvious.

Yes, good point. Some time ago I had the same thought - I thought it would be a good idea to look through the member list and remove such members. And I already made a secret bet about how many spam bots I'd actually find ... also such ones that registered but never posted However, there is no setting I know of that deletes members after years of inactivity. I will try to check this someday, maybe I can do something. Or maybe one evening I have the nerve, sit down with a bottle of good Whisky and scan through the member list by hand. But I don't think it'll be so soon... Nevertheless, it's a good input and we will try to consider it

I understand what you mean, however, because of the fact that not even so much is live in a "live act" these "live sets" tend to become DJ sets of the artist's own tracks ... and in this case, it then gets good again! The best example of a disadvantage becoming an advantage

Hi people I'd just like to share what I recently found... It was by accident, one song on Youtube got my attention and then I did a bit of research and found ... Strange Zero! Two guys from greece, making electronic music ... most of all primarily ambient I'd say (yes, there is even the CBL acid ambient style in it I'd say), but they've actually got plenty of styles, plenty of variety... and these guys have now put their whole discography online for download! I really love their music, listening to it since a few days and it's great ... perfect for me. I am a big fan of Carbon Based Lifeforms and I find some of their beloved acid style in the music of Strange Zero ... paired with a panoramic epic-ness at times that really is one of a kind to me. This is a great band! I'm a huge Atmos fan ("Bad 2 The Bone 4 46 Daz" ) and I got this one now ... but I also have to say it's not really that good. This sounds like one of those tracks composed in an afternoon. Interestingly the Dominic Thomas Remix is even the better track on the release (oops, "Dominic Thomas" is Atmos ) After all I will probably even listen to it often ... but it's nowhere near the tracks on his last album. If you want to get something off Beatport, get the Tour De Trance Bonus EP! Much better tracks there I'd say...

I always was looking in the artist news section much less than here maybe this is something to think about that I can get back to some time later... on topic, I liked Blumenkraft a lot, but rather not because of the "pirate tracks". The first one was marvellous. Missed out on Skylon, but sorta heard that it was not that great ... and I believe I even checked some tracks and didn't find them so attractive I hope they do something really good this time again...
