  1. Ottmar Liebert - Nouveau Flamenco. Beautiful blend of different world musics including flamenco of course with hints of poppy melodies.
  2. Except for the title and the font used on the cover, I like it personally. I think that some thoguth has gone into the creation of that piece, whether by anyone related to Astrix or not.
  3. Where the hell did you get it already? I want it. Don't see it anywhere yet. Help. edit: OK. I understand, after reading your introduction post in the offtopic section. And welcome to the forum.
  4. @ mpmsay, accused you of igesting e? who cares? if you've already ingested it. fucking ppl, they crack me up. even cops in canada don't care if you are already high and don't have anything else on you (or even if you do in reasonable quantities, hehe).
  5. Simple is often so beautiful.
  6. It is unreleased, just heard Phony Orphants play live, and had a chit-chat with them afterwards. I asked them what rmx they played of Global Wonderground was, and they told me that it was a rmx of BLT, but it had not been released, yet. It is over 1 year old.. 249079[/snapback] Kewl. Sounds nice. If it is that old, I probably heard it already, but haven't realized (the enphants' shows always turn out pretty wild for me, hehe).
  7. Antix - Free as We Are (BLT rmx)
  8. Listen to Onnomon then my friend. Generic? I think not.
  9. Cant believe I forgot Bitmonx. For minimal, check out their older stuff. Gold.
  10. Don't really know the track you are talking about, but if it is dancefloor tech-house you are looking for, look no further than Kontrasequenz - Zeitverschwendung.
  11. oooh oooh oooh oooh oooh can I also be a judge if there is a chillout portion of the contest?
  12. Well, for prog, look further donw on this page, or else I might post some suggestions if I get bored later. For minimal however, do check out Intelligent Manipulation compilation and actually anything that comes out on Zenon or Groove Zone lately. Also Battle Royal by ZMA had some nice minimal stuff. Interzone 2 was a very nice compilation as well with a gem from Sven Snug. If you want older minmimal releases, I highly recommend Set 2 by Iboga, and of course Pieces INcrease by Digital Structures as well as Perspectives Of... by Son Kite. Sensient's album is very very good indeed (needs to be heard as a whole album). Also check out the older Plusquam releases. Even Shaman had some minimal moments in Foretaste (a very interesting album that took me a shitload of listens to finally understand it). The essential piece for minimal imo is Eyes Rolling by Zenon. Brilliant.
  13. Yes, mate Well, he asked for psy albums, and psy albums he got. You chose We Travel the Spaceways over Atlantis? But the again, most of the Sun Ra stuff I heard was fooking great. Only thing you forgot wa some Steve Reich. hehe talk about mindbending
  14. I enjoy the lyrics on the Hoopy Frood album. Cheeze, but quality cheeze.
  15. Well... summertime is almost upon us: here (192 kbps) running time: 56:52 1. Tripswitch - Deep Park [LSD] 2. Aural Planet - Polar Valves [Flow] 3. Bluetech - Leaving Babylon [Waveform] 4. Waterjuice - Green Shake [Vaporvent] 5. Gaudi - Chaine à Chaine [interchill] 6. Eat Static - Caridwen [interchill] 7. Gaudi feat. Ojos de Brujo - Babylon Flamenco [interchill] 8. Pitch Black - Elements Turn [Kog] 9. Omnimotion - Love Song [Waveform] 10. Red Seal - Cool Down [Flow] Enjoy
  16. Looks nice A shame they're not coming more east.
  17. I'm just fucking with you. No need to apologize. Well, here are my choices: 1. Return to the Masters [iboga - Puzzled] 2. Carbon Based Lifeforms [iboga - Strange Attractors] 3. Short Life Again [Plusquam - Revive] 4. We Communicate [Groove Zone - Groove Zone] 5. I've Been Sent [Plusquam - Irresistible Meltdown 3] 6. FREq vs Antix - Frantix (Azza mix) [iboga - Playground] 7. Awaken (Materialize) [iboga - Strange Attractors] 8. FREq vs Spherical - Bit Shifter [Domo - Swiss Connection] 9. Frogacult - All Seasons (FREq rmx) [iboga - All Seasons rmxs] Would have also liked to include the Antix remix of Return to the Masters, but it wouldn't fit into the 80 minutes, and there is already the original. In fact, I think I will make myself a best of FREq cd. @ E.P. A lot of these are far from formulaic (but I guess you are talking about the latest releaes, and unfortunately, as much as I like the dude, I have to agree with you.)
  18. I love you. One of the trippiest samples ever. (well, maybe not the words, but the way it is said).
  19. Distinctive? Yes Boring, not really. At least not until he started churning them out by the dozen.
  20. Yes, we did DP, but you are one of the only ppl that actually posted more than 1 or albums. This thread is so that ppl post more and if someone's taste corresponds to some of the names mentioned, he might be encouraged to buy the other cds on the list. Also, that one id for artist albums only. I realize there will be a lot of overlap, but still, I have my reasons for this (seeing each person's one favourite album does not really help me discover new music).
  21. Having browsed through the best of 2004 poll, I think it would be also useful for everyone to post several of their favourite albums of the past year, so that when looking through the answers, if you see a couple that you also liked and some names that you have not heard of, you may be inclined to check those new (to you) names out. Kind of like the amazon.com recommendations notion. I will start. Trance Artist Albums: Haltya: Electric Help Elves [Exogenic] Kooler: Open [Kamaflage] also enjoyed: Frogacult: Something for Sundays [iboga] Hidria Spacefolk: Violentrly Hippy Rmxs [Exogenic breaks] Son Kite: Colours [D.S.] Atmos: 2nd Brigade [spiral Trax] Compilations: Pure Bliss [Tatsu] also enjoyed: A Day After... [ZMA] The Dissidents [Horns and Hoofs] Groove Zone [Groove Zone] Puzzled [iboga] Swiss Connection [Domo] Schizm [Gi'iwa] Chillout; artist albums: Gaudi: Bass, Sweat and Tears [interchill] Kukan-Dub-Lagan: Life Is Nice [Candyflip] Androcell: Emotivision [Celestial Dragon] also enjoyed: HUVA Network: Distances [ultimae] Kaya Project: Walking Through [interchill] Phutureprimitive: Subconscious [Waveform] Abakus: That Much Closer to the Sun [LSD] Ornament: Bleu [Cyan] Red Seal: Black Ops [Flow] compilations: Gnostic Traveller [Lobogistic Labs] Floating Point 2 [iboga] also: Live at Dakini Nights [Dakini] I doubt that these choices will make anyone discover anything new, but certainly hope that the posts to come will bring less known names into the mix.
