  1. Voted Penta too Like GOW also, but havent heard their album enough (don't have it), so Nikita it is.
  2. Just wait for the new sensient album. If you like it dark and proggy, you will not be disappointed.
  3. Right now: Omnimotion-Omnimotion Love Song is on at the moment.
  4. Holy Shit, this has got to be the festival for chill beats lovers. Too bad about the dates (for me) though.
  5. I am sure you will. Best of luck with this.
  6. This lineup looks amazing. I would give my left nut to be there, but it has already been given. Wish I could be there.
  7. where is this promo section you speak of? couldn't locate it
  8. Woah Leloo on CD finally am sure the rest will rock too, actually, I will go back now and see what the rest of the gems are, just, was blown away by finally being able to listen to Leloo on CD.
  9. A lot of the artists that used to make minimal back then make what is called progressive today; however, most progressive today is very melodic. It is more melodic than fullon a lot of the times.
  10. Some people here might disagree, but I find Lull by Antix to be very dark in mood. So far, it is the perfect album for me.
  11. You don't like Beethoven? You don't know what you're missing.
  12. Yes, I wrote that on purpose to provoke someone into proving to me that progressive is not psychedelic. Give me a break.
  13. No, but I know where you can get Dark Nebula's remix, on Alkaloid's compilation True Reality? And if you know where the sample in that track came from, I will be very grateful
  14. As for Vibrasphere, newport is one of my alltime favourite tracks. Makes me all emotional. *takes a minute or two to recompose* The ambient trck on Antenna was also bliss. So far, they only have 2 albums out. Echo is not as mellow as Lime Structure (not at all). Recommended if you like it hard and minimal, although some of the citrucey structures are apparent already. Echo Plantation was massive back in the day. Now if you like Vibrasphere, let's see, do try Space Safari, also Flowjob has nice tracks in the same vein. Don't know if I mentioned Kooler earlier, but for some intensely groovy low bpms, get Open, one of the best albums of 2004. I actually voted for it as album of the year on Isra. POst what else you like, and I will be back with more recommendations. Aside from Haltya/Benza like characters, prog is the only trance I listen to lately.
  15. I dig Minilogue and have heard a lot about this Leeloo track, but haven't seen it released anywhere. Where can I get it? Also to satisfy that uber-proggy urge, I recommend Kruger & Coyle's album from last year entitled Randy Expander. Really really deep tribal music. Put out by ACDC, the progressive side of Spiral Trax. Also, I cannot believe I forgot Prisoners of the Sun and Space Safari/Beckers in my list. Musts for any proggy lover. We are lucky here in Canada when it comes to progressive. Just had Tegma recently. Metronome is coming up this weekend. Son Kite in May. Sensient, Itaytaiko and Tetraktys in July. The American festivals in June with top notch proggy acts such as Jaia (has an album coming out on Digital Structures soon). Just felt like bragging. However, a lot of people here are from Northern Europe, so my bragging is in vain (and not only vain)
  16. Personally, I have sort of lost interest in Shpongle. Back when it first came out, there wasn't that much of good similar stuff coming out; but now... It is just another good release, if even that. Hopefully there will be at least a couple new tracks on the album, and not all remixes of old stuff.
  17. I don't think they were printed.
  18. If you loved Shpongle, I would suggest Shulman (already done here) and Androcell. The continuations of Shpongle imo.
  19. I voted for 200 to 400 hundred. Could be a bit more, but almost for sure less than 500. CDs only. No vinyls here. They are mostly classical, jazz, and chillout. Less original trance, although almost all the Iboga and D.S. releases are here as well as the later Suomi releases (very few so far, but increasing). Lately, I have almost completely stopped bying trance; money goes into other music now. Also a couple of hundred mp3 rips, but they don't really get the attention they used to.
  20. I realize this might not be the breakdown you are looking for (judging from the choices you give); but this gave me a good idea, and I might try this one. My breakdown would be (I would up it to 14 tracks for just less than 80 minutes): Starting with red 1. Export Audio - Sexy Angel 2. Antix - Blood 3. Phony Orphants - Scrachi 4. Beat Bizarre - Brain Drain rmx or not 5. Sensient - Phobial Black 6. Neoris - Nosferatu 7. Midi Miliz - something grinding from Antistat 8. SCS - Proxima from Eyes Rolling 9. Etnoscope - Nordic Fury White 10. Bigwigs - Papa gejos 11. Mumbo Jumbo - the D'Oh track 12. Haltya - Hero 13. Vibrasphere - Newport 14. Son Kite - Focus (Shiloh rmx) You think it would work?
  21. I would add Etnoscope, Export Audio, Atmos, Son Kite, Vibrasphere and FREq to the list of essential starting proggy. If you like more stuff like Sensient mentioned above, check stuff from his label - Zenon: Eyes Rolling is one my favourite compilations of all time.
  22. Not too bad that they forgot the slipcase. Pretty, yes. Annoying, also. But I will not get into the old slipcase discussion.
  23. Did you like it just because there are drug references? I honestly saw nothing new or interesting in that movie. The acting was subpar (well, the wife was not bad); the dialogue was far from to die for. The drug references were actually inaccurate (why would natives from Mexico use amanitas when they have psilocybin mushrooms?) There were a couple of interesting ideas, but they were left severely underdevelopped imo. The visuals of the trip were not great either. Now, it is your turn to tell me what you liked.
