  1. the gathering return of the shadows
  2. you might also want to check out the various tim schuldt (mama indica/brain accent/talking souls) tracks. some of them fit your description perfectly and have a similar vibe to the above track.
  3. i'd take peter gabriel over him every time. he was a good drummer, but i despise him for turning one of the greatest psychedelic/progressive rock bands into a bland pop group. basically genesis died for me when he became the lead vocalist. @topic do politicians count? our minister of finance is in severe need of punches
  4. happy birthday jos! (so far we haven't had the same comment twice, i wonder how long we can go on like this )
  5. wait, so gumbo is simon? that's something i wouldn't have guessed.
  6. the (imho) best fullon albums fitting your description: logic bomb - sonic algebra logic bomb - the grid hux flux - division by zero amd - big fish headroom - artelligent duotekk - dunamis fearsome engine - biting point talamasca - zodiac (partly, at times too melodic) psydrop - fantasy seeds (same)
  7. why does the link that looks like soundcloud deliver me to facebook?
  8. 11. no 12. no. forever is a too long time, but i'd take immunity from diseases and immortality until i would eventually decide to kill myself. 13. no, that'd be confusing at most. 14. hell no.
  9. 1. no 2. maybe 3. no 4. no, it probably wouldn't turn out the way i intended 5. yes, but the clone would be too intelligent to do all the hard work alone, so we'd share 6. yes. friendships sometimes vanish for the most stupid reasons with no gain for anyone. 7. save the human 8. i'd let the world know, that's why i'm never gonna be in such a position. 9. depends on the information i have about that civilization. probably no. 10. i've sworn myself (multiple times), that i'll never set my foot on a mountain again, if i have to walk up there, so no.
  10. this is a pretty old thread. still, i'd like to add: cosmosis - inner space morphem - magma hiscore - identify shaolin wooden men - s.w.m. none of these get the recognition they deserve.
  11. sure, i used zebra2 and here are the settings: with this customly drawn waveform: the original probably isn't as complicated. what settings did you use? i think you could get pretty close with a little bit of envelope tweaking and heavy abuse of chorus
  12. sharks? no. but i'm also not a surfer. my one experience with a surfboard is not likely to ever get repeated but i'm kinda afraid of box jellyfish, since i've seen a girl rushed to the hospital two years ago on the island of koh chang after coming into contact with a tentacle of one while swimming on the same beach i was at. i also got an irrational fear of stonefish lurking in the muddy sands
  13. no. the closest on the list to legends are sun project for their guitar stuff and space tribe for the involvement in alien jesus, which is definitely a legend of the worse sort
  14. hey i haven't got the original files anymore, but this one should be very close or identical to the old version on here: http://www31.zippyshare.com/v/65488712/file.html but since i got new headphones i couldn't resist tweaking the whole thing a bit more: http://www42.zippyshare.com/v/38941420/file.html i have no idea what zippyshare does to the file, but the second one sounds more metallic and distant than the file on my hd??? edit: apparently picosong works better (thanks for the tip), so here's the link: http://picosong.com/Rdby
  15. i was near the pillar in the middle at the moment
  16. interstate highway is great. in my ranking it would get second place behind teleportation. even if it were just for this one track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZ3QZdqv0dw
  17. i have no idea. the first i remember were a collection of low quality mp3s i got from a friend. basically all the classics, but the ones that made the most impression on me were astral projection - let there be light, dimension 5 - deep space 5d and total eclipse - free lemonade.
  18. i first experiement with sounds and patterns/loops (in the daw of course. how would i do that without the daw?) until i have much more than i could use in a single track and a vision for the whole thing emerges. then i select the best parts that fit together nicely sequence the whole thing. in theory at least. in practice i need to addlots of extra sounds/patterns and throw a lot of things out to make the whole thing flow nicely.
  19. Dimension 5 Artha Ra Chi-A.D. also very high on my list but not likely to ever happen Etnica/Pleiadians pure retro set BPC pure retro set most of the other essentials i have seen some time in the last years.
  20. haven't we had like 3 topics about darkspies this month alone?
  21. yup, this is definitely more intense than other ones.
  22. i don't think so. my guess is, that it depends on what people are used to. before i got into goa/psy, i listened to freetekno (180bpm music) and always found psytrance relaxing to the point of sleep inducing. i sometimes turned on psy and proceeded to fall asleep on the couch back then. so, with those (imho utterly boring ) music styles on the exteme low bpm end of edm (namely electro, minimal, dubstep) being the most popular now, it's no wonder people are used to that and find psytrance too fast/"frenzy-y".
  23. akg k701 since today
  24. i didn't eat at all those places. shiva place is something i avoid due to getting awful chai everytime, so i've never tried their food . the thai stall was indeed crap, but the german stalls were hardly better. the kebap was so-so, but the hungarian stall next to it was great. i was always served by a tall guy there, so either i went to the wrong one or just was unlucky considering timing
  25. if you fled the camping area at 9 am with a wet towel on your head and chilled somewhere in a shaded area at the market place or mainfloor while drinking 3-4 bottled of water per day you would be ok
