  1. "Spirit Zone best of 100" & "Alien Airport" come very close cause of their diversity. I preferr compil's that cover a wide spectrum of psy... Too bad today it's all so divided by genre & that there's rarely more than 2 or 3 briliant tracks on one cd. Moovers & Groovers or Mushroom Trance Vol4 are less varied, but truely fantastic aswell.
  2. I recently obtained: Ooze - where the fields never end (!!!!!!!!) Astral Projection - In the Mix X-dream - Radio all 3 through trading & my bitch (oops ) bought the new Antix

    V/A - Lime Light

Very original release! The main factor is "progressive" ranging from the very housy first half to the more trancy second part. My instant favourites were Flowjob (really looking forward to hearing more stuff of them, as this grabs me more than their older stuf), Ticon (on a more melodic tip here, very trancy indeed: now whoop out that new cd , PLEASE) & the Minilogue track which is an absolute dancefloor-bomb! Further more I loved the Vision & Canedy's use of samples from the New wave track Eisbeir by Grauzone (do correct me if I'm wrong!) & the vocals on the Rai-track, which might lack a form of tension for some... I also enjoyed Holm & Andersen with Cityrain, which is once again more into the Housy side of this, but without losing grip on the steady rocking beat. The last 2 tracks as well as the opening one didn't feel thàt special to me, but who knows, maybe they have to grow on me? I mean if I want elektro, I know better ... As you can see, a lot of vocals in here, but I don't mind the sound of a (human) voice if it is used in such a briliant way as the Son Kite boys do with "Leloo". All in all: very original & if this is not enough Trance 4U, be sure to check out the next compilation on Tribal Vision: Inner circle, which will focus on the more darker side of progressive
  4. got the In the Mix thnx to Quark! Still lots of stuf to trade...

    V/A - Outsider

I loved Prooved 2 & now I was in doubt as if to buy this one or to wait for the upcoming PP-compilation by Sally Doollally. Guess you answerd my question BTW: Is there anyway to get hold of Switch by Beckers on cd?

Staying far away of the freq-a-likes: 1st SBK album Shiva Chandra X-dream Phoney Orfants Reefer decree Neelix Son kite Atmos indeed my new favorites: Xibalba & Symphonix or Midijum Records (home of the mighty dj Bim!!) in general?
  9. Nice to see so many ppl mention Astral Projection here: so will I: "Allah Acbar" for sure! I think it's from their SFX-period, not 100% & Land of Freedom by Transwave
  10. Well, imho still nothing beats the version they made themselves in the early 90's with Ofra Haza. But for sure it's a "goosebumps-moment" to hear her haunting voice cut through a psychedelic dancfloor too! & it's a nice history lesson for all kiddies who think that the 80's were all about synth-pop The Sisters remain one of the most influencial bands of the last 20years! Maybe this will start a trend of 80's-psy ?
  11. Lani - Summer of Love (made in Belgium ) Out now on vynil, soon on plastic... Especially enjoyable "live"!
  12. Either way, 21 July is a Holiday in Belgium & we'll be leaving at night so we can make it to the festival-ground around the morning / early noon. We prefer to drive at night, cause there's less traffic. I didn't know about their booking-filosophy, but it makes more sense to me then some organisers who just keep on booking the same artists just because they're "friends" by now & get a cheaper price No matter what the line-up will be, pretty sure there will be something in it for everyone to enjoy & this now is one festival that's about a LOT more than just the music. Allthough in general I prefer more exotic locations, what they lack in scenery they more than make up for in atmosphere! C U in the morning
  13. I know Oli from MOS play together with Frederik Flager as Potrockers. Their dj-sets are Progressive ranging from house to trance thou not minimal or psytek anymore, usually more afterhours I think MOS still does live-acts also (the psytek style ) I saw them in Ex-bad in Munster (D) earlier this year... & they kicked serious ARSE!
  14. Sonar VooV Dance-a-delic Rhytms of Peace that's all folks due to my J.O.B. (Job of a Bitch)
  15. There really is no urgent need to buy tickets upfront as the venue is so big it will never be sold out & the price at the door is only 5€ more... Ofcourse you should do as you wish, but we're from Belgium & have never bought tickets in presale. C U there!

  19. Thought so Mine was Atmos, perfect music to end a perfect festival See you this year too? I would also love to be surprised by a Frogacult-live set & I allready have a suspicion that Phoney Orphants will be come back to do what they did back in 2003.
  20. Yep need to find either of these 2 babys. Just let me know if you have one (or both) in good condition that your tired of...
  21. It starts on Friday 22/7 & ends on monday morning (at 8:00) This is 1 day after FullMoon ends, so we can get a well-rested head-start on the full-on-Isra-posse all info (but NO line-up) on www.voov-experience.de Would be nice to meet some ppl there!
  22. Well, as long as you saw FREQ (aaaaaargh) this year, you should be ok in the long run, no?
  23. Damn right that kicked ass! I stayed there until the very last note of Phony Orphants at around 13u30, I think. It's also a very nice way to get to see some artists before they really break-through. Like Antix who played the closing set in 2003, but I missed them cause I didn't know their stuff (yet): still kicking myself for that one. See you at the proggy stage, ppl!
  24. I'm going!! Third time in a row & musically it's one of the festival that I like best. It's also a very nice philosophy NEVER to give the line-up upfront. So you have to come for the whole exprerience rather than just to see Infected or Astrix. Ofcourse it's never disappointing, cause it's organised by the ppl of Spirit Zone Here you can find our impressions of the 2004 edition: http://www.psychedelic.be/coppermine/thumb...s.php?album=169
  25. If this is the guy with the Leonardo Da Vinci-tattoo (human man in 2 positions, with arms & legs open/closed) on his upper back I met him on VooV 2 years ago & Boom last year. Fits your desciption perfectly & he's an international party-head Anyhow, this guy's also pretty relentless
