  1. no offence taken whatsoever to each their own you know Human Blue already I suppose?
  2. Got that one right here too. nice one but a bit too up-tempo for me to enjoy it all-the-time. Maybe check out Yotopia (also on Flow rec's) & most recent releases on ZMA recs?
  3. Mad contrabenders = Mandylion same dudes, different name, so thàt one should please you
  4. The new Magnetrixx album, Wired. Loads of stuff on Midijum Rec's actually. Good to see that you keep an open mind & ear!
  5. Wanna trade for a bigger frisbee? Bought 2 cd's not on discogs yet: We had such a good time @ Waldfrieden Wonderland that we purchased the Waldfrequenz comp: Lani & Stella Nutella, Sangeet, Feuerhake & Vazik's great track with that sample from "A forrest" by The Cure, worst track is by Analog Pussy "Dass ist meine Strasse" Yesterday my girl bought her 3rd psy/prog-cd: Avalanche of Sounds (vol 4). She just wanted to have "Switch" by Beckers More really good stuuf on there: a decent SBK, a Marc 'o Tool-project & a genious Andre Absolut RMX !! Surprise of this release is Dub Disaster by SBK's brother, really PHAT proggy choon
  6. For those interested in what it really looked like when the sun came out: http://www.psychedelic.be/coppermine/thumb...s.php?album=273
  7. no1 here likes the Ticon-sound? I don't own a huge hifi-setup but on my discman it tickles my eardrum... Freq does the same but probably I need more high-ens equipment to participate in the debate. In the melodic-department I want to mention Dino Psaras' Lick it-album too... Or is it just inherent to prog-music (my fav) to have better production-standards cause the emphasis is on making just a coupple of sounds work well together rather than creating a bass-monster or layering 4 melodies on-top of eachother? (this is a question not a remark!)
  8. Great work Ukiro! You certainly know how to put critical questions in non-offensive phrases. A gift I don't have but that would have saved me from a lot of shit in the past...
  9. I think "Where the fields never end" is probably one of the best chill-cd's ever released It's Sebastian Mullaert from Son Kite, who also operates under other aliasses like Filur and Kooler. He also compiled the 3 Chillosophy compilations. Togheter with Marcus they also have their more housey project Minilogue. These guys have come a long way since their pumping minimal debut & aren't going to run out of ideas any time soon...
  10. ****rant-alert**** Ask anyone who's seriously into producing WHY the hell everybody seems to wanna make a psy-RMX of tunes like Final Countdown or stuff by the White Stripes, rather than making something original themselves. Is it a trend because they lack originality or because the labels push them to do it so they can sell it to Highschool Psy-freaks-in-the-making? Are they actually proud to be making this kinda C.R.A.P. or do they realise it is just that but still participate in it just because "everybody's doing it"? Should he have any enthousiasm towards this "trend": don't even let him finish his sentence but just get up, slap'im in the face & leave the room
  11. Had a pretty good time there actually, but I nearly always sleep during the night so I wasn't too bothered by the low volume. If you were really shocked by the drugged-up ppl there, that's Belgium my friend Especially the town near the festival Ghent has some f*cked-up ppl in it. Worst acts 4 me: Shiva Jorg & Shiva live. Should any one be tempted into booking this dude because you liked "Power of Celtic" & all: DON'T! He managed to play the Final Countdown AND The White Stripes RMX in a row Made me pretty sick. Also because of changes in line-up we tried to arrive well on time for Haldolium, who were just about to finish their set when we got it Instead we got Filteria, not really my cup of T(rance). The rhytms are nice but then the 1st melody kicks in... & the 4th Too bad the sun didn't really com out untill the music stopped (Jhon Phantasm was OK to rouns up day 1) Second day was much nicer imo: Sensient indeed & Etnoscope rocked the final hours on the dancefloor. Socially it was very good week-end 4 me, getting to see loads of friends from when I used to live in that town. Narcotic-wise I was a very good boy too: just one piece of space-cake 1 herbalizer & loads of splifs & alcohol Pictures online soon... D-A-D is cancelled so: C U all at WALDFRIEDEN?
  12. Son kite - Colours RMX's: http://www.discogs.com/release/356140 Cosmophilia Volume 2 (GREAT 2CD!!): http://www.discogs.com/release/229869 V/A : Widescreen http://www.discogs.com/release/221394 This last one completes the nice trinity of Progression, Widescreen & Revive: all great proggy comp's on Plusquam! Best part: I bought'em all for 20€ at Rakti Dei-festival from a Belgian oldskool dj...
  13. I'm stil interested if you don't really like it...
  14. Would you like me to free you of that heavy burden? Been looking for that one for a while...
  15. I bought 4 cd's for 20€ too, if I had know this I would have taken more treasures with me... Sad to hear, cause for me they were a real Quality Label in the past

    "This is ACID"

During his briliant set at VooV2005 D-Nox played a track with this heavy male vocal-sample saying "This is Acid" The sample is probably taken from an old Detroit or Chicago-track. Anyone got any ideas on what the name of track or artist might be?
  17. The one with the Homer Simpson-sample right? Never really loved his stuff, but he was pretty "Big in Belgium" 2 years ago & preformed live here twice I think. Think they made a Triptonite RMX too which was OK (very hard to fuck-up a tune like that). bottom line: OK to dance to, but nothing timeless imho.
  18. Sinn-Tec Rec's : Still very young label, but a lot of potential, imho.

    Spicelab

I only own "The Hive" & I just love its layers & broad, wide soundscapes. Find it hard to understand how you all find it his weakest album This guy knows his stuff & I find it nothing less than amazing, the way he shifts in & out of grooves in the same track & establishes such strong emotional content with just a restricted arsenal of sounds. Could be the fact that I'm more into progressive music, but still tracks like "Godess" kick any neo full-on track's ass all the way back to Israel So, anyone got any recommendations along the likes of "The Hive" album?
  21. We're in Marakech on 20/8 so we'll catch a Grand Taxi or Bus to the venue a coupple of days later. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to travel together as our whole point in doing foreign festivals is meeting ppl from outside Belgium... (this goes for anyone) PS w0p: how about that Element cd?
  22. didn't see any notice on Message board Had a fucking great time though! feel free to look for yourself in our pics which are posted above... Anyone going to Morocco? No Sonica due to my J.O.B...
  23. Heliotrope & Sensum, who appear on several ZMA-compil's & the latter just released a full album there...
