  1. Heard this track of his and I quite like it. Its the first one here http://www.discogs.com/Various-We-Were-Acid/release/1662764 Whatever little IDM I have heard, I've quite liked it. Seems you're counting breakcore as IDM? In that case, The Flashbulb - Kirlian Selections Venetian Snares - My Downfall (Original Soundtrack) VA - Artifical Intelligence - really like this one. Autechre wise I like Gantz Graf a lot, and when you listen to it with that vid there's nothing like it. Here it is -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9lpy6UROF4 autechre overview
  2. I'm open to everything, its just that psy/goa is so good that I end up following it more than other genres. Otherwise all good music is welcome, doesn't matter where it comes from I like Drum & Bass a lot, and atleast something from all EDM genres like breakcore/techno/noise/classic trance/house etc... but psy/goa provides the maximum neural stimulation
  3. Sounds good. Got a link? Is it this one ->

    NHJO

We're going to see a topic soon in the lost tracks section on how someone found this great music that seems to be mislabelled 'nhynjrnnoro' and wants to know more about it?
  6. Meh...bring on those names. Because you can't beat... Antediluvian Rocking Horse - Music for Odd Occasion - right rocking horses...making music...odd music Ubar Tmar - Macrometasomakosmos - try saying that. apparently its something philip k. dick cooked up Etnica - Alien Protein - seriously alien what? Analog Pussy - Psycho Bitch From Hell - badass goa trance! Shaolin Wooden Men - Binary Input to Flesh Antenna - ok I find this hilarious. You go over binary...antenna slowly, think and then wonder what these guys were on when they came up with that!
  7. I like the length...intros, outros, buildups and breakdowns. In short, music made with some thought. There is no way you can fit all that in 4 mins...its not goa then. And catchy killer goa, god forbid, we aren't aiming for the Top 40. Tracks like Maia are a full 10 minutes long and they aren't boring in the least.
  8. Try Doktor Mesmer from Dragon Tales, the track completely blows my mind. The gradual progressions as elements are slowly introduced, you need to listen to it a couple of times before noticing how deftly the track is done, otherwise you completely miss the transitions....and when the bass and synths come in around 3 minutes its purrfect.
  9. I'll be there Travelling overland Delhi-Gorakhpur-Kathmandu in case anyone's doing that.
  10. This is mad, I'm so glad to see people are mixing psy and DnB, multiplying the madness \o/ Loving the speeded up breaks meshed with crazy synths.
  11. I think it would be dark full-on because it combines trippy synth lines and powerful bass, but I don't like it a lot more than the other styles, instead its more like the good stuff from all the styles. For example... Ocelot - Vector Selector Furious - Uncanny Beats Ghreg on Earth - Sigilweaver etc... I wonder where Ghreg on Earth would fit, in other I suppose?
  12. Absolum - Inside the Sphere CPU - Central Processing Unit Ocelot - Vector Selector - quite dark in parts Space Tribe - Through the Looking Glass - one of my faves Chromosome - DMT Cowboys - melodic morning
  13. COP isn't bland, its just a different approach. You have to let tracks like New Cop sink it. Its like goa techno instead of goa trance.
  14. Stakker - Humanoid Stakker Uses synthesized speech samples from an oldschool video game, Beserk I think the name is.
  15. Evol Intent - Era of Diversion Yeah Evol Intent is DnB but the album is a mix of styles.
  16. There is good stuff being produced today, but if you don't have the time to listen to a couple of albums a day, its too much to dig through it all.
  17. I've gone through the same thing with many people, and in the end I had to resign myself to the truth, which admittedly was staring me in the face all throughout... We just have better taste. Period.
  18. In a book, the author has the time and space to explore a character/theme/plot etc... in depth but a movie can make a much greater impact and bring the book to life. I think on the whole, a book has greater depth but sometimes the movie wins out. I haven't read the Shawshank Redemption but I'm pretty sure the movie is much greater than the book.
  19. I'm just going to put this suggestion out - VA - Artificial Intelligence 2. To me atleast the Autechre tracks on it are psychedelic.
  20. Ubar Tmar - Macrometasomakosmos M.E.E.O. - Highlight Me Please
