  1. got these yesterday: finally Prometheus - Corridor of mirrors (just listening to "Drug Socks" , guaranteed to hypnotize you away in no time... or me at least) Blisargon Demogorgon - Book of magic V/A - Bliminal (Interchill) Sound Field - Audio Surfin' V/A - Deep into the nexus (Nexus Media) V/A - The well of enchanted sounds (Glowing Flame) V/A - A token to thrill (Nanobeat) Narcosis - Exploding madness (nice cover, but that's about it... disappointing) Flyh - Flyh also some time ago: V/A - Psy Stories 3 (Parvati) Fractal Cowboys & Many Faces - Entre nous Vibracoustic - Dark skies some non psy: Jesu - Jesu (Hydra Head) http://www.discogs.com/release/366247 The Tea Party - Edges of twilight http://www.discogs.com/release/435911 Opeth - Damnation http://www.discogs.com/release/672568 Steve Roach - Midnight moon http://www.discogs.com/release/14770 notice the imbalance?
  2. "Deagua" is correct, their first album and their best... imo... together with "H2"
  3. I always loved psytrance with a heavy industrial touch, but as already said there's not very much, if anything, like it around these days. Atomic records surely was THE label for industrial psy, so maybe go hunting for their releases if possible (especially their first comp "Kiss the future", an absolute classic imo). As there are also some techtrancy tracks on the Catcher comp, maybe you like some old techtrance like "Spirallianz - Stereopark" for example just as well. Check out the first two Dark Soho albums. I tend to recommend them at almost every occasion but give Ambivalent records a try too, you never know. Hope I didn't tell you old news. PS: I almost forgot the Schlabbaduerst releases, if this isn't industrial psy then nothing is.
  4. Logic Bomb - Psychedelic pollution (elephant, I think) love this one here are a few tracks with wolves: click
  5. Jesus, it's getting ridiculous now. Why don't you all go play in the sandpit already?
  6. Generally I feel that Tim Schuldt does a very good job in mastering, so do the Son Kite guys, Eargear (or F.M.S.), Cass, Marc Engemann used to as well... just to name a few of them. But that's not the question here, the last release I bought which had a very good mastering imo was "V/A - Further ambivalent tendencies". Can't name a release which mastering I liked best, it's difficult to tell anyway since it's not only the mastering which matters in the end but the whole recording process.
  7. I think you two have a different definition of the word quality, to me it seems Basilisk is talking about the sound quality and I have to agree with him. A lot of darkpsy releases can't be enjoyed on a good hifi, they just sound godawful (e.g. no proper bass, just painful overcompressed midrange freqs). I mean I love darkpsy, nothing gets me more going than some decent darkpsy, but half of the dark releases if not more are just poorly produced and only suitable for the trash bin. Sad but true.
  8. After the first listen the album sounds like one big track, or to put it in other words the tracks sound all more or less the same. I don't know if this was done on purpose, I mean the tracks are quite hypnotic but in most of the tracks there's not too much going on to keep you interested. It just bubbles along. I'd say you don't miss anything groundbreaking if you skip it, but then again it's a bit early for a final statement after just one listen.
  9. Did you order it at Ant-Zen? They always include insane amounts of stickers, cards, flyers. etc This week I got: Trashlords - Made in Goa V/A - Morthor Spede (Black Magik Records) V/A - Twist dreams (Suntrip) XV Kilist & Rocco - dito M-Field - Current of Life V/A - Schlabbaduerst 007 Jikkenteki - A long walk home V/A - Twisted flavors (Dark rec) V/A - A walk through neptune's garden (Par2) Marras - October falls (Dark Horizon rec) 8 Frozen Modules - Clinically yours (Plateaux Resistance) Astralasia - One fine day rmxs
  10. easy job, I enjoy almost anything by them but the ones that I liked most are The Delta - Def by delta part II X-Dream - Radio rmx X-Dream - Aspirin It's amazing how they keep changing styles while still delivering quality... for years.
  11. In fact a lot of the tracks were released years before, this album is actually some sort of single collection. Polaris, Spastic Elastic, Acid Soul, Labyrinth of Colours were all released some years before. Agree about Prophecy and Stardiver, I never really payed much attention to them, I mean they're not bad, just nothing that tickled my senses.
  12. I tend to disagree, I've hardly seen any strobos at goa parties about 10 years ago, just blacklight and fluoro stuff. But who cares, it can be cool when used moderately.
  13. No it's not an Asarualim track. Anyone got a clue? Maybe it was: "... jetzt habe ich lange genug Geduld mit Euch gehabt! "
  14. That's exactly my opinion, nothing can beat the prog stuff around 2000 in terms of inducing really deep states of trance. The current prog just can't compete with it imo.
  15. Me too today, currently listening to the Cacao rmx kind of a techno/darkpsy hybrid, I like it then I got V/A - Slow-release (Open Records) V/A - Japanrythm (Phreex Networx) Isentropic - Heaven's gonna burn your eyes (Namaha rec) btw am I the only one who doesn't like Xenomorph's way of mastering? always too noisy and very little bass
  16. Hell yes, those moving floodlights that dazzle you every 5 seconds, even worse than srobo imo. It makes me somewhat agressive
  17. If it's only for a short time I can perfectly deal with it, however if it lasts for hours I start to feel sick pretty quickly. Well, not really sick, it just... freaks me out. I start to feel disorientated
  18. I'm not at home right now, let's see if I can get some tracks together from the top of my head... (in no particular order) Techy Neser DNA - My name is bruise The Delta - Def by delta part II Mantik - Sly Nim Tao Spirallianz -Ghost Brigade Kent - The yamman Triac - Sink (not the Live edit from their album) Neoris - Nosferatu Boo Reka -Snail Midi Miliz - Black Box Cybered - Freak Proggy Psy S.U.N. Project - A statistic (Atmos rmx) recently rediscovered this one, what a track!!! Zerotonine - Titanium Cluster Lish - Hollywood Superstar Deviant Species - In the hands of the randomizer Highpersonic Whomen -Wormhole Vaishiyas - Tremble Chirp Fusi & Johnson - Trouble Galaxy Triplex - Kaviria Segment - Gelfling (Skeskses rmx) Son Kite - Timeless Dark Atriohm vs. Encephalopaticys - Among the stars Dronebixie - Zo Moth Orestis - Unreal Flipknot vs Jun - Working Secrets Traskel - Knas Quasar - Oliphant MWS - Hexenhammer Mubali - Cats@Play Metallaxis - Dark Light Astrometrix - Killogram Full On Phatmatix - Deus ex machina Wizzy Noise - Light of madness R.A.M. - Dreamcatcher Electric Ant - First Run (Commercial Hippies rmx) Deviant Species vs Scorb - Jack the kipper Scorb - Resonant Evil Unsound System - Goon Phatmatix - End of silence Xerox & Illumination - Paranoia Wizack Twizack - Jungle juice Was this supposed to be a DJ set? If so... sorry.
  19. I agree, it's not hate just being bored with it. Of course there's still good full on and there will always be, but you have to agree that the vast majority of full on releases nowadays are just mind numbingly boring and shallow, if not annoying. An example of a good recent full on release is the Phatmatix album imo.
  20. Actually, that was my conviction exactly... now I know better So did you get a replacement Anoebis? I'm surprised that there're relatively lot of people who had the same issue, I never would've guessed. I pray to God that this won't ever happen to my precious ones, what a disaster it would be. First I suspected my mother to have broken it, she once threw some CDs of mine in the garbage can when I was 14 because they had some skulls & stuff like that on the cover. Haha, how sick is that? But somehow I refused to believe it was her, she wouldn't do such things anymore.
  21. Today I was searching through my collection to sort out the ones I never really got into. So I took one and wanted to give it another listen, opened the digi and... couldn't believe my eyes... wtf, it was torn in half... all by itself, it was peacefully lying in a box for three years, I didn't even touch it. Have you ever experienced some similar shit?
  22. Just one today but what a one it is: My Dying Bride - A Line Of Deathless Kings I'm currently going through a phase of back to the roots
  23. "Paps Vs. Mandukya - Aaaaaarrgh !!!" I wish somebody had released it as unmixed version sick
  24. Does anyone remember "Droidsect - Ketamine"? Man how I miss those crazy french guys... Strangely enough hardly anyone of my mates liked it back then, I always found it to be top class stuff for a proper mindfuck
