  1. So now it's out finally, got it yesterday and let me tell you it's a BEAST. Dark driving psytrance with a heavy industrial touch and deep menacing atmospheres, definitely the surprise of the year for me, I didn't expect it to be that good. Crank the volume up :posford:
  2. got a nice package yesterday Scorb – Ipso Fvctu (Trick Music) Gappeq – Speaker Seeker (Wirikuta) V/A – Wooden Monsters – Warriors of the acid forest (Nabi) V/A – Problematic planet (Free Radical Records) Solar Fields – Earth Shine (Ultimae) V/A – Bush Food (Zenon) 2nd copy V/A – Global Alliance (Fragile Planet) V/A – Dark Love (Triplag) Xenomorph – Demagoguery of the obscurants (Gnostic) The Scorb album is really good, very diverse. The track with De Catsro, "Tower of Klorox", is :posford:
  3. A nice party it was, pretty dark atmosphere decowise and nice people. Loved it. At some time I went to the bar to get a short rest and order a beer when a totally twisted bloke walked towards me starting a conversation, boy was he fucked on acid. So I was lucky to get some enormous and profound insights on life and the way things are in general. Too bad I couldn’t follow his thoughts but we had a blast anyway. Unfortunately I missed half of Xenomorphs live set because of that. However, judging by what I have heard his set was a bit disappointing, he solely played new stuff as far as I could tell, a few really good tracks here and there but too much boring stuff inbetween. His guitar acrobatics and singing didn’t help either. I’d still give it a solid 3 out of 5 though as I suppose it's not that bad for homelistening. I still have to build my final opinion about it. And I could still bite my own ass not having seen him totally drunk as I was told he was later on. Must've been a view a few party pics:
  4. awesome sound indeed one of my many favourites as well, btw does anybody happen to know if they're still active somewhere somehow?
  5. Actually, I'm just about to leave for a party where Xenomorph presents his new album... we'll see if he delivers. The samples didn't impress me that much, too many guitars, but hey you never know. Let's hope for the best
  6. "Rotatum - Phaze Dub" from my favourite Matsuri release Abstract Phaze
  7. Nerve - Channel 59 Nerve - Nervous (the Etnica remix is good as well) good old prog from back then, blows nowadays pop prog out of the water (except for Zenon records, check them out) but as others have already said "banging" is not an adequate term for prog in most cases. if you want banging sound go for techtrance and start with "Spirallianz - Blast food"
  8. Goasia - From other spaces (nice one, nostalgia guaranteed, dare I say a bit cheesy at times though) V/A - Neverending story 3 (didn't listen to it yet) V/A - Left speaker dancer (kind of a mixed bag, but still best doof release in ages imo) V/A - Bush food (it's Zenon Records ffs, you can trust them blindly... trippy stuff) Funky Dragon - Massive (first impression: boring)
  9. some decent full on for the morning hours: Heterogenesis - Revoluciones Maquinicas
  10. I guess you already know the psytech/techtrance names so I'll just skip those... else the search button is your friend Industrial techno which comes to mind: - Karl O'Connor & Peter Sutton - Againstnature - Porter Ricks vs. Techno Animal - Symbiotics more Industrial than techno: - Moctan - Suspect - Sonar - Alien Overdrive - Asche - Genetic Selection - Orbital Ground Attack I don't know many actually, it's only good in small doses imo
  11. sounds interesting... didn't know they had a new one out, how is it compared to their first one? or how is it at all?
  12. wow, shit, that's quite a lot to check out. I already knew the usual suspects like Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream and what not. But there're quite some new ones to me, will check them out. Thank you all
  13. same here, there was a time when prog actually had some teeth and could bite but now it's all wishy washy tralala boredom, no edge, no nothing. waiting for the new Zenon release though Anyway, Antix' last album was not bad, same goes for Perfect Stranger and Ace Ventura, but apart from that I'm afraid there's not much I can recommend... or maybe it just escaped my mind.
  14. What is your favourite non-electronic psychedelic music? Non electronic doesn't mean there mustn't be any synths in it, just not electronic in the traditional sense, well, you know what I mean. For me it's without a single doubt "Tiamat - Wildhoney". I just gave it another spin the other day after over a year and was completely overwhelmed by it's dense soundscapes and rich atmospheres. I had totally forgot about it.This album has shown me places no other music was ever capable of bringing me to, dark places, divine places, places of mystery and wonder... places to get lost in. After this album every other music will sound pale, shallow and uninspired, to me at least. Anyway, to cut it short, can you name some of your most admired psychedelic albums? I urgently need some more music like that... :posford:

The Delta - Delta skelter Johan - Stranded (The Delta rmx) a classic, but a bit borderline cheese imo Sometimes I used to like a bit of guitars in my psy but I've grown completely out of it, it just sounds childish at best most of the time imo.
  16. hehe, there's no danger actually, I can always give it back within a 30 days and get a full refund. Played around with it a bit yesterday and I wasn't too impressed with it to be honest. The analog feel is there but it doesn't go as deep (frequency-wise) as I want it to go. You're also pretty limited soundwise, I mean I knew this beforehand but I didn't expect it to be that limited. But then again I only scratched the surface, maybe it turns out to be an awesome piece of gear. It sure helped to run it through my Sherman
  17. Maybe his tracks were halfway listenable if he didn't add some stupid vocal samples to them. He's really good when it comes to spoiling his tracks with his retarded voice. my opinion...
  18. GMS - Tentacles of a jelly fish, released on "The Growly Family" album wicked :posford:
  19. ordered last week, should arrive early next week. I'm damn curious how it's gonna sound...
