  6. Psychaos - Future Rocks. Flying Rhino Records, October 1997. UK.
  7. A decent compilation. Use it for background music once in a while still 😁
  8. It's a personal art piece I imagine and like most art, some people will love it and others won't at all. If you want to make something popular it has to appeal to most people and it's hard to put your way out ideas in there.
  9. Last week
  10. I mentioned this track further up in this thread. Best, trippiest shoegaze track and probably my favorite track of all outside of actual psy/Goa. Toni's voice and those layers of sound!
  11. I agree he has a lot of stronger material than Flux and Contemplation but I think a lot of people just don't get the references in that work. It is a musical representation of the COVID virus. I think the loopy music box like tune is supposed to be like a sinister analog of an ice cream truck, traveling around on its rounds all over the country, spreading the virus instead of tasty iced treats. Then all the spoken numbers obviously represent the exponential growth of the infections. That sort of abstract talky stuff was popular on some 70s psychedelic records as well.
  12. In hidden studios beneath Neo-Kyoto, Quantum Composers manipulate sound using black-hole synthesizers. Their music generates tangible energy fields that warp reality—illegal but worshipped in underground clubs. PSYCHASM - TARGETED INDIVIDUALS 126BPM-D#
  13. The private eye guy leaves soon. Then it's more space stuff with the main 3-person crew (along with some occasional new additions and a building of the larger outer worlds). But yeah, because of the show style/pacing, the characters are not the easiest or quickest to click with. Maybe tap out and try again in a few years if interested again. There have been some movies/shows I have not been into but then enjoyed at a very different time 😃 Cheers mate!
  14. On my DAW I can deactivate tracks but I can't automatically activate them partway through playback. I can work around it and it doesn't hinder the final recording, but it does mean if I have too many tracks I cannot audition everything in realtime because there would be too many plugins running.
  15. But he didn't mention "at once". It's a total number.
  16. https://backstage-secrets.com/blog/a-man-who-opened-up-a-whole-new-dimension-in-music.html The most amazing factoid in this one for me was this: My DAW starts to choke if I have more than about 40 tracks active at once. I wonder if he is having to pre-record a lot of those to audio, as 180 software synths running in parallel would just be insane, right?
  17. Yeah, not gonna paste it here but youtube has a transcript feature on I think all videos now. You open up the video details and a Show Transcript button is right near the bottom of that. I have a link for another interesting Posford interview from 9 years ago I am about to post and that is all text you'll be glad to hear.
  18. Any transcript of it, I like to read interviews but I don't want to listen to them. I have better things to listen to than people talk (oh how I could stop listening to people talk 😆)

    Good TV Series? Any?

I usually like that kind of thing, but maybe the characters just never grabbed me
  20. Yeah that's a nice long interview and I learned a few things I didn't know about his career. He gives some interesting insights into his creative process as well.
  21. The Expanse is a dense show. You really got to go all in with the metaphors and imagery. It's a great show but it is long (06 seasons) and kinda slow at times. The story arc that starts it off isn't the end game. If you make it through the first season and love the characters, keep going. But if you ain't feelin' it, then don't bother. Ir's real good but is not for everyone. 😃
  22. Hello new comer this is a very active site but the caveat is that everyone is logged off..
  23. Fake radi? 😪 So that wasn't even him. So the real him he's actually dead isn't he.. I knew it.
  24. Had to come all the way to Tokyo on my day off (I work in Tokyo) to buy shoes. I have big feet and there is like one shop, the whole country that has a decent selection, in my size, with staff that know anything about shoes. Big-B if you're ever in Tokyo and need decent big shoes. I have been suffering recently because my comfortable shoes are too old and have started to break around the sole, not visibly but I can feel it, and I bought another pair near me and they just are not comfortable at all. Got 2 nice comfortable pairs of shoes I hope will last a while before my weird gait destroys them.
  25. Pantheon Did anyone watch this show? I really enjoyed it and got through it much more quickly than most shows I watch. I like the Uploaded Intelligence idea, the philosophy of "What is humanity?" and the ending, albeit rushed, hit nicely. If anyone has seen this, what are some other TV shows or movies you'd recommend? I've not watched that much anime and there is far too much to navigate sometimes. I love Ghost in the Shell / Stand Alone Complex Maybe I am just a sucker for post-humanism

    Good TV Series? Any?

Yeah, I really enjoyed the first two seasons of Foundation. Having loved the books, I was wary about going in, but I think they have handled it very well. I think a third is out now, but I haven't seen it yet. I saw the first series (or half the first series) of the Expanse but it was one of those shows that I enjoyed watching, but there was nothing pulling me to watch the next episode and I kind of just stopped. Is it worth picking up again?

At nearly 2 and half hours, I must confess I have not yet made it the end of this mammoth offering. Eternal is right. In short, I really like this music a lot. The first thing that strikes me as I listen to the first few tracks is they have excelled at conjuring up exciting textures. It feels deliciously gooey, soft and a little bit scratchy. In their earlier music I was impressed by the spatial effects and the same is very true here. Some of the melodies drift around as you listen and seem to take on a kind of almost 3D depth. This is very hard music, as even though the Dawn half of it is slower and mixed more softly, I feel a relentless drive in the looping patterns and continuous beats and there is a nice darkness even to the Dawn CD. The Dusk one is even harder, faster and louder. It has some great voice samples as well. No spoilers here. The only other thing is I don't totally get that cover art. Guess I need to stare at it for a while. Some kind of fairytale theme. 8.5 / 10
