Gn°me
I was wondering... Sometimes i get the question of people who are interested, but don't know anything about goatrance... What is goatrance? So if you have to explain to people, what goatrance is, which track are you going to let them hear?

radi6404
If they want to hear some music that resembles goa trance give them some music from the 90s b0s from the labels Dragonfly, Phonokol, Trust in Trance, Transient, Spirit Zone. The best artists of those labels ofcourse are Electric Universe, Astral Projection, Man with no name, Hallucinogen, The Infinity Project, and all the British artists like Voodoo People, Paul Jackson, Youth, Ayahuasca, and similar. Those artists produced the most fammous tracks in my opinion, but ofcourse there are many other artists with great tracks that resemble goa trance. Scandinasia
Personnally, I would introduce them to newschool first, with a piece of Artifact303, such as For a Better World. My goal would be to show them the modern side of the music, the Goa of today, so that they can't think it is a "dead" music ( I'm not saying oldschool is old-fashionned or unawesome). Since today is today, why not dealing first with the Goa of today ? For instance, if I wanted to introduce techno or DnB to someone, I would choose contemporary products rather than pieces from the 80's.
Anoebis
AP, Dimension 5 or Etnica I would show them

Balance
I can honestly say Dimension 5 is the only artist I've never ever got. It's not that I don't like them, I just find their music uninspired. I mean it's nowhere near as bad as say Neelix or Alien vs The Cat type rubbish but yeah anyway. There was plenty of crazy Aussiecstuff like Dhailin Woi

Orange
There are alot of candidates, but if you were looking for the BEST example, I'd have to go for one of the oldies really: Dimension 5 Astral Projection Cosmosis Doof Hallucinogen Infinity Project Koxbox Trilithon ( ) Slinky Wizard Total Eclipse The Overlords etc etc
NightHex
for maximum impact : mfg-on mars they will shot you probably )
Veracohr
If there is 1 track that explains true goatrance... which one would that be? There isn't a single track, of course. Otherwise the genre "goa trance" would consist of only that one song.

There was plenty of crazy Aussiecstuff like Dhailin Woi In my opinion their music doesn´t sound uninspired, but a bit simple and repetative. The tracks consist of two or three main melodies that continue through the whole song without much of a climax. Some of the melodies are great and emotional and make some of the tracks sound great, but the music should really sound brighter with more focus on the heights. That would make the music sound broader and more open as it does now. Their sound doesn´t have many heights and lacks atmosphere that way. If I imagine some of their tracks with the sound of Electric Universe they would really make a point, for example blue Pyramid.
