Otto Matta
Thanks to Abasio's recommendation I too picked up a copy of: Global Psychedelic Trance, vol. 5 After hearing the samples on Saiko, it was inevitable... That's got one of my favorite chill tracks on it: Chris Zippel - When I Felt It! I'm so in love with those lyrics, and the vocoded portion at the end. Ice, ice, ice, to the Red Sea. Pink, pink, pink, to the sky when I looked at it. Green, green, green, was the wind when I felt it. White, white, white, was the light on me. Right? Something like that? Been a few years since I heard the track. Anyway, today I got Cocoon Compilation F. It's pretty fucking good.
Snapinho
Arrived today... ..... Alien Project - Activation Portal (H2O) ... X2!!! That's not what I'm listening to though. I take it you didn't read the Psyreviews review of AP? (you can still do that... at own risk!)

Makes me more paranoid that my mum is selling my collection in England. All my Flying Rhino is there & they are moving house. I've only listened to the ambient side so far, as I've gotten back home far to late since I bought it & I've been in more chilled moods!! The trance side is pretty cool, from the Saiko samples. Should be getting my copy soon, just paid the guy. Today, I bought a copy of Overhuman Project's album from www.psylosophy.com Nice, powerful, high quality night stuff. I recommend anyone into that kind of thing to check it out! Its about as far from OMFG killer demon evil death trance as it gets and still remains powerful and heavy as hell. He himself calls it 70% night, 30% goa/fullon. Think heavy basses, lots of psychedelic noises, but every now and then there is some really clean, trancey, almost morning-ish riffs. Jikkenteki
(About new Talamasca) How is this? I was looking at it today but wasn't sure about it. I've only had time to listen to it once through, but I definitely prefer it to Made In Trance. If you've heard any of his recent stuff you basically know what your in for (i.e. big dance floor assaults along the lines of "Overload"). I'm sure a lot of people will complain about it being too commercial, cheesy, melodic and what not, but Talamasca is one of the few artists one has a completely and instantly recognizable sound that I also happen to love. The Talamasca only disc is pretty good, but the collaborations disc, which I didn't have much hope for, turns out to be not too bad either. Maybe not fine art, but I still dig it.
