  1. Artist: Lifespirit Title: Talking With Osho Label: iM Electronica Date: 2017, July 01. LifeSpirit – Tomorrow Never Comes (7:55) 02. LifeSpirit – There Is No Question (8:22) 03. LifeSpirit – Being in Love (8:24) 04. LifeSpirit – Deeper You Go (8:22) "There are people who have philosophy of life but they don't have any life" "Is that the philosophy of life" "No" - Zip, Wurp, beep. Simplicity can be bliss. You know it, I know, it goes without saying. Why am I saying it then? Because simplicity really can be bliss. Lifespirit epitomizes this. Talking with Osho is the EP brought to us by Lifespirit, Who I have not heard from until now. Almost no information exists for this ep, I don't even know how I got it and it's only been a week. Nevertheless Every song here progresses into a series of amazing melodies that follow a conversation with Osho who pops up for the intro's and breaks of each song. Tomorrow Never comes - An awesome intro into the EP, we meet Osho and the journey begins. I love how LS doesn't overuse the vocals or attempt to make it spiritual in that dicky sort of way. He has done a great job with this track. The melodies aren't to aggressive but make you wanna sway and jump and stomp your feet. There Is No Question - A deeper, dreamier more atmospheric track than the first, the start of which reminds me of a Merkaba track. Everytime you think to yourself that the track should change it up a little it does just that. Right until the end where we are lead into a final minute of bliss. I like how he doesn't throw the best bits in where you might expect them. Oh and the simplicity of it all. Being In Love - Picks up where There is No Question left off with a nice mix right into the tracks intro. Another slow steady progression into a great melodies that almost comes out of nowhere. Once again Lifespirit doesn't over use the melodies that he has concocted and changes it up pretty quickly.... Then It' back again, but better. Oh Osho, so wise. Deeper You Go - Ill go deep with you Lifespirit. This track is easily the hottest on the EP. Those of you that love those crazy leads whirring in your ears Should love this. The track is hot Hot HOT. not going where you expect at first. Maybe that's the message behind it all. Who knows. We could never know, maybe that's the message. Maybe there is no message. Oh shit, Osho has taken me down the rabbit hole. All in all this is an awesome EP. He hasn't gone over the top at all and has focused on doing what he does right. I definitely recommend listening to this EP, even if that means a naughty DL. I also recommend listening to it as one piece. The tracks are nicely mixed into the next while there isn't a boring part. The tracks aren't the most layered tracks out there but I can see that being a big bonus for most of you. I would say that if you ain't about that spiritual shit you should stay away . But I really can't, we should all go on a journey with Osho. https://www.beatport.com/release/talking-with-osho/2098150
  2. Hey there fellas! New psychedelic chaotic track with an old school analogue acid sound. Enjoy! As ever all feedback appreciated.
  3. Artist: Various Title: Spirit of Goa Trance Vol. 2 Label: Fresh Frequencies Date: June, 2017 01. California Sunshine - Flying Eye Land (Remastered) (8:00) 02. Necton - Sliderglider (5:53) 03. Nova Fractal - Common Cold (Screwloose Remix) (8:06) 04. Omnivox - Silent Sweeper (9:35) 05. Trinodia - A11 (2013 Remix) (9:17) 06. Shakta - Lepton Head (Rigel Remix) (8:46) 07. Frost Raven - The Time Traveler (8:53) 08. Lectro Spektral Daze - Between Two and Twelve (9:21) 09. Nostromosis - Space Tribe Of Siberia (8:01) 10. 2Minds - Hindu (9:05) 11. PersiaVibe - Into The Space (7:16) 12. Radical Distortion - Radioastronomy (7:13) 13. Lucid Rainbow - Ebola (7:27) 14. OXI - Quasi Star (7:10) 15. Siam - Run to the Sun (7:23) 16. Judaika - First Encounter (9:22) 17. Psy-H Project - Precession of the Universe (Sonic Elysium Remix) (8:32) 18. Simply Wave - Insight (7:31) CAUTION: Spoilers ahead. Well let’s jump right in. This compilation is simply amazing. I’m still new to the scene and like lots of what i hear. However, the variety within this album is varied enough to keep you listening all week. None of the songs have particularly broody atmospheres (Not meaning they aren’t atmospheric) and they all have strong hard kicks (Still not sure how i feel about those floppy drawn out kicks. Fresh Frequencies are known for their progressive Goa compilations, the only one of which i've heard is their vol.3 2016 mix. The only other Goa they have released is of course vol.1 of this compilation set which I haven't heard but can only imagine is good. 01. California Sunshine - Flying Eye Land (Remastered) (8:00) - Cali Suns songs have a nice steady feel to them that seem to be hit and miss with me. This one was a miss. That being said it was a nice intro track into an album that gets better and better. 02. Necton - Sliderglider - A fun little track that is more than a little bit danceable. Plenty of bass, plenty of high hat builds and some lovely progression throughout the track. Considering what Fresh Frequencies normally deal with you can see why this made it on the comp. A nice addition at that. 03. Nova Fractal - Common Cold (Screwloose Remix) - I've never really given Nova a chance to blow my mind with his work nor have I heard the original track. Should I be reviewing a remix of a song I haven't heard before? (probably not) on it's own merit though This track is great, it's the right amount of crazy with plenty going on obviously done by someone with some serious skills. 04. Omnivox - Silent Sweeper - Omnivox jumps right into it. He takes you through a bunch of twists and turns expertly keeping you focused on the track which doesn't take long to take off. I wasn't a huge fan at first, maybe because it sounded familiar but his style has grown on me. No messing around, just that nice pounding Goa we all love. 05. Trinodia - A11 (2013 Remix) - One of my favourite track on the comp that has grown on me every time i listen to it. I haven't heard Trinodia before but damn this is a nice track. Slowly building up and up until it blows away your ego into the 21st dimension...Or something like that. 06. Shakta - Lepton Head (Rigel Remix) - A great bouncy track with a bouncy bassline that one could call repetitive if it wasn't so good. Another amazing track that doesn't give to much away to early. Every time you think he is going to drop a crazy melody he brings that sexy bassline back in until he finally lets you have it. 07. Frost Raven - The Time Traveler - Every compilation needs a squelchy zippy laser blaster of a song and this is it. I find some of the zips that come through a little repetitive and annoying, you have to try and not focus on them to much when they come through but hey! Who said travelling through time was going to sound pretty. Keep listening and the patience pays off and it all starts to make a bit more sense. 08. Lectro Spektral Daze - Between Two and Twelve - Look, not the best track on the album but also I can't find it within myself to dislike any Goa. It's all so good (I know right, I'm not really the right guy for a fair review). The track is nice enough and the world is still a better place for it. 09. Nostromosis - Space Tribe Of Siberia - Well well, Nostromosis doesn't waste any time giving you a taste of the melody that's about to be thrown at your face. What starts as a lush dreamy soundscape turns into a wild ride of sounds battling each other for dominance in this track. Then he does it. He gets a fist full of melody and aims right for you. It's a hit! and I love it. 10. 2Minds - Hindu - Oh baby! First of all I love a longer intro. Secondly I love a good bassline. Thirdly I find a lot of Goa producers opt out from any strong vocals, not 2minds. Fourthly...... Fuck it this whole track is great i like just about everything and while I wont mislead you into thinking this a vocal filled track (It's not) when they chanting does come in its good. Then that Scottish melody. For me it's a truly original track I haven't heard the likes of before. 11. PersiaVibe - Into The Space - PersiaVibe layers this track nicely with melodies coming up from underneath melodies almost perfectly. Another dreamy track that makes you feel like your doing floaty dances under the stars at 3 AM. 12. Radical Distortion - Radioastronomy - Mr Radical Distortion, my favourite producer from the Suncokreti comp, Radioastronomy reminds me why. Not the best track on the list but some good old relentless trance that makes you want to move. 13. Lucid Rainbow - Ebola - WHY! Why does the track have to end? I know it's all part of the master plan in making what is the second best track on the comp but i’d happily take a 20 minute version of Ebola. it's bouncy, it's jumpy, it's catchy. You've all been around a while, remember when you used to have melodies stuck in your head for days? weeks? years? This is that for me. 14. OXI - Quasi Star - Some strong pounding trance right into you is what you get with Quasi Star. I can see this being some people favourite track and I can see some people finding that they've heard it before. I dunno I reckon it's a great track worthy of any dancefloor. 15. Siam - Run to the Sun - Siam is Athenian John Pitsakis who hasn't been producing for as long as some of the names on the release. I might just say you can sooooort of tell. Not a bad track by any length but just feels like Siam is playing it safe. 16. Judaika - First Encounter - A nice acid filled symphony of sounds that bounces along beautifully. You get a reprieve from the acid here and there but not for long. 17. Psy-H Project - Precession of the Universe (Sonic Elysium Remix) - A track we might already be familiar with from Sonics Faster Stronger Higher album. My absolute favourite track on the release and an awesome remix of an already awesome song. Sonic E gives the track a bouncier feel (Dare I say more danceable than the original, which is saying a lot). The track doesn't lose steam one as it continues to progress into one non stop eargasm. 18. Simply Wave - Insight - As soon as Insight starts you know you in for a wild ride to finish this album out. No disappointment to be found here. A bit of an Artha sound if I do say so, but i'll take what I can get. The track is a banger and doesn't let up. Not. For. One. Moment. One of my favourites and another reason to get this compilation right this second. In summary, Stop wasting your time and get this compilations right now because if you do not get this right now then you are missing out on a big opportunity of beautiful fast pounding melodic goa that I know everyone on this website is going to find some good good within. You can't really compare this to the Mystery Worlds comp with the deep broody atmospheres, darker ambience and crazier twists and turns. I'd say more of a Legacy style Goa, a little lighter and way more dance oriented. 10/10 worth a listen Edit: - Links now added, sorry! https://www.psyshop.com/shop/CDs/frf/frf2cd025.html https://freshfrequencies.bandcamp.com/album/spirit-of-goa-trance-v2-frshcd025-fresh-frequencies

  5. Hey there! Have a listen to this one and enjoy the trip! As always, feedback appreiated!
  6. This is a track that I have been recently working on. The melodies/chords are simpler than my other work, but I tried to go for a hypnotic approach with lots of repetition in a "outer space" themed track. Note: I use FL Studio's step sequencer/channel rack only. Not playlist mode. I prefer the step sequencer because I can make the track feel more natural in a "live" way when I record. Criticism is wanted!

  8. Hey guys, I've decided to sell my virus ti snow cause it's too digital and wimpy sounding. I want to replace it with one or more of the newer analog synths. Was wondering if you guys have any recommendation for stuff with a really good filter that would be good for the hardware goa sound (for example stuff like Celestial Intelligence)? I am thinking about maybe the MS20 mini or one of the new roland things like the forthcoming SE02. I also saw video of a guy making amazing goa on one of the Dreadbox units. I used to have a prophet 08, but all the dave smith stuff I have owned has had issues and broken so I refuse to buy his stuff anymore. Currently I'm mainly using the nord lead 2, minibrute (it's so meh though), virus rack, virus snow...then for VSTs: LuSH-101, Superwave Ultimate (kind of a JP8000 clone), Superwave Sirius (kind of a MS2000 clone), and Sylenth. So as you can see I really like the 90s VAs but I feel like goa needs a good analog filter. Any recommendations? No old/really expensive/bulky stuff plz
  9. Hey Psy Fam, does anyone up in the Scandi´s have a good idea of some nice underground clubs in malmö Sweden or Copenhagen? got a few weekends here and would love to head to a club for some psy or goa if i get the chance.

  14. For the lovely party "Divide by Zero inv. Skuttie: BlijeBakkesBijeenkomst The Sequel", I cooked up this special set, exploring different facets of goa trance and beyond. A blend of sunshine melodies, driving acid lines, dreamy passages, powerfull stormers, etc. Since I had to play quite a bit longer than expected, there was a fair amount of improvisation involved, but I feel it came together quite nicely. Enjoy! 16. You'll Never Know - You'll Never Know EP This Release is very special. It is the story of the track that was the biggest hit in Goa during the season 1991/92. How it ended up there, it's a fabulous tale. Read it here... The year is 1991 and the season in Goa is going to be a blast. All the DJs are exchanging tracks for the upcoming parties, but there is a track, THE track, that everyone wants to have and to play. A hypnotic piece that is “You Never Know”. Read the story from the Artist: “There was a time when we suddenly appeared at the Goa scene with You Never Know, which was one of the first tracks we made after forming the band. The track ended up in Goa, without any appearance from either me or my partner because at that time I knew a French guy in Denmark, Besugh, who was totally into the Goa scene at that time, constantly walking around with his DAT recorder, collecting tracks from all over as well as DJing around the Aarhus scene. Every year he went to Goa for the winter playing at venues; he had his second home down there. I played the track for him once and he asked for a copy. When I saw him the next time, after he had been in Goa for the winter, he was completely crazy, screaming that "You Never Know" that year was the biggest hit in Goa. I know that Frank from Koxbox mentioned it to me as well. Besugh was the "main man" that year at the beaches, since he was the one who had the only copy of the track. Since you have been so determined for such a long time, to look up about who was behind it, me and my partner will allow you and DAT records to license the track. We are both happy that our track had, and obviously still has, an impact. It personally reminds me about the time when I was young and eager to contribute to the electronic music scene. This all happened a few years before we became famous musicians. Thanks again for bringing this memory up.” The track is mystical and there are people who have been looking for this tune for so many years on every techno and trance record they could find from, yet it eluded everyone because it has never been released before. We are so proud to be able to offer this fantastic track that was lost on an almost unreadable CD-r, the sole surviving copy, together with three other bombs from the same demo, bringing back that original vibe, from the sunny beaches of Goa teleported directly to modern times, to preserve this music for eternity. We are so grateful to have been given the rights to release this - it is a rare chance and we thank the producers profoundly and to help give this epic track the deserved glory and place in history that it deserves. Play it loud and enjoy it! Credits: Mastered by Jaro Valo @ Analog Dimension Executive Producer: Federico Draeke Photography by: C. Willensen Available Soon on vinyl (black/clear) and as digital download.
