Artist: Various Title: Ascending Label: Melusine Records Date: December, 2016 1. Lauge - For Evigt Og Altid 2. Logical Elements - Flower Nebula (Original Mix) 3. Olexa - Miss Spring 4. Ancient Core - Caracatitza Cuantica din Oceanul Mecanic 5. E-Mantra - Ascending (Live Version) 6. Lifebloom - Rest In Self 7. Reasonandu - Immerse 8. Metamorphosis & The Adaptive - The Long Way Home 9. Cabeiri - Uranus' Seed 10. E-Mantra - Daydream (Dense Mix) 11. Saranankara - Awakening 12. Jaraluca - Spiritual Transformation 13. Ascent & Argus - One Day In India This digital release (24 bits) is from the label started by E-mantra and Reasonandu. It's a charity release with all the profits going towards underprivileged and abandoned children in Constanta. I won't pretend to know where that is, but doing good is universal. This is a long release at over 100 minutes and it contains quite the variety of music. A few mentions...All of the tracks have a good amount of depth in them and I didn't find one that was subpar. I'm not one for beatless ambient unless it's time for night night, but you get a couple of tracks of that here. Flower Nebula is a gentle and silky smooth progressive track that screams sunshine and the promise of a hopeful future. E-mantra has a couple of really good tracks here and they flow in the same vein as his downtempo releases. The music varies from utterly relaxing to strong, beat oriented downtempo with tribal touches. For example a track like Uranus' Seed has all of the above. While Awakening wasn't anything special, the middle break hit me just right. Shame it was so short. The fastest track belongs to Jaraluca and it is unapologeticaly goa. Mid tempo swagger stuff. And lastly if you like female Indian vocals than the closing track is your holy grail set amongst a head nodding beat. All in all a very good quality release and for a good cause. Recommended! Entheogenic need no introduction. It is one of the groups that helped define the sound of Psychill in a great extent. With 14 years on the scene and 9 released albums they have managed to gather a large and dedicated fan group. Their last 4 albums were available only as a download. Digital Reprints wants to change that. All 3 albums (Gaia Sophia [2011], Enthymesis [2014], A Singularity Encoded [2015]), 2 EPs (B-Sides [2008], Anthropomorphic [2013]) and a bonus rmx by Kuba will be released on physical format. 8-panel high quality digipack, an 8pp booklet and a slipcase, all with artwork of Hakan Hisim will compliment the sound of Entheogenic in a truly artistic way. Only 100 copies will be printed and made available exclusively to Kickstarter backers. Those backers will be credited in the booklet. This is your chance http://kck.st/2gbdXuV 4.5 hours of pure bliss that only 100 people in the world will be able to showcase in their collection.

Artist: 2Minds Title: Anomaly Label: All Records Date: 2010 1. Eat Dust 2. Anomaly 3. Sun After Clouds 4. Arturia 5. Mind Bender 6. Back In Time 7. 6 Feet Under 8. Before The Digital 9. Muezzin These 2 brothers are of one mind and that mind has a mission to create psychedelic trance soaked in goa elements. Their debut album is a great example with layered tracks that don't hover in one place for long. It's not just full steam ahead and the nuances are quite enjoyable. Their talent for genre mixing is on full-display and I'm impressed with the atmosphere they create. The album is a bit of an uneven effort with some filler near the end, but they show good signs of depth and dynamism with their music. And they got better with their 2nd release Wave Shell. Artist: Koan Title: Circe's Touch Remixes Vol. 1 Label: Section Records Date: December, 2011 1. Circe's Touch (Original) 2. Circe's Touch (Asura Remix) 3. Circe's Touch (Krusseldorf Remix) Koan is a Russian duo who have been at the forefront of chill-out music. Have you been to their Discogs page? Take a look over there and see how many releases they have. Plenty to explore. Which lead me to this digital ep. You get the original of course which is tear jerkingly beautiful and full of emotion. Heavyweight Asura lends a remix and the beauty continues. By far the most interesting was the deep and warm bass heavy version by Krusseldorf. Eerie and delightful at the same time. I was hoping to get most of their albums from their Bandcamp page, but only a few are listed. Had to go to Beatport. Check it out. Beatport

Artist: One Arc Degree + Cybernetika Title: Nether Moon Ep Label: Ektoplazm Date: August, 2015 01 - One Arc Degree & Cybernetika - Nether Moon (174 BPM) 02 - One Arc Degree - Ghost Comet (176 BPM) 03 - One Arc Degree - Ghost Comet (Cybernetika Remix) (176 BPM) 04 - Cybernetika - Stinger (One Arc Degree Remix) (87 BPM) Whaddya get when you mix 2 Greeks and a German? Some smooth electronic music. One Arc Degree (Vasilis Kesalidis & Ioannis Konstantios) and Cybernetika (Lars Goossens) combine forces for pretty decent ep. The science fiction style is well represented as drum n bass percussion pings off the hull of our observatory craft with Nether Moon. It also has a nice break and cool piano riffs. The kick thunders in Ghost Comet as gentle and warming tones twinkle above and then Lars gets his hands on it and makes it more dark and mysterious. The closing downtempo track is also mellow and mysterious. Not Earth shattering, but solid nonetheless. Free at Ektoplazm

Altar Records presents “Biosynthesis”, by Abiogenesis. a·bi·o·gen·e·sis noun Abiogenesis: the natural process by which life arises… Calling all lovers of deep, cosmic, tripped out ambient and downtempo…Altar Records is proud to present “Biosynthesis” -the highly anticipated and latest album by CJ Catalizer (aka Dmitriy Neschadim). Hailing from Moscow, Dmitriy is known for his transcendental musical vision and devoted fan base…and with good reason: he’s been on the receiving end of glowing reviews in the international Psy Ambient scene since he first set out to create his unique brand of sonic psychedelia several years ago. This time out, he’s changing things up with a new artist name: Abiogenesis - a process which describes the origin of life on this planet some 4 billion years ago…and (drum roll) “…in the beginning, there was sound….!” And what a sound we’re treated to on his latest studio adventure, as Abiogenesis makes good use of his trademark soaring, hypnotic arpeggios that feature silky smooth glassy sounds contrasted with more acidic lines that interweave in perfect harmonic bliss. These are long, dreamy, yet engaging ambient and downtempo tracks where the melody and mood are the deciding factors and drive things along nicely, finely tuned to the visionary worlds of the ‘third eye’. Complemented by subtle use of female chants that give things a human and epic touch, along with pertinent chord changes, a tight, bouncy kick, heavenly pads, and big washes of sound that drift off into infinity, “Biosynthesis” is a masterful album and a true sonic delight that unfolds in the most patient, and yet powerful way imaginable. Abiogenesis has once again managed -in expert fashion- to create a flawless tapestry, easing the listener into new sonic horizons that will delight for years to come. In short, this is audio nirvana for your daily mana. Featuring outstanding and crystalline sound presented in 24bits / 48.000Hz, Dmitriy Neschadim’s third full length album was mastered by none other than fellow psy ambient alchemist Dimitriy Redko (@ Astropilot Studio). The buzz on the streets is that “Biosynthesis” is set to be released at large on January 27th, 2017, so mark your calendars, and get ready to take part in this most epic and ambient musical journey that’s guaranteed to bring you back to your roots and set your spirit free! Artist: Astropilot Album: Iriy Label: Altar Records Genre: Progressive Psy-chill, Psy-chill, Downtempo, Ambiant 1.Gamayun – 11:35 2.The last nigth of Svarog – 11:29 3.Svarog's Morning – 9:27 4.Rod – 9:31 5.Makosh – 7:19 6.Svar-ga – 8:27 7.Veda (feat. Mikrokosmos) – 10:16 8.Back to Midgard-Earth – 12:56 Each time that I listen to a new Astropilot album, I always have the same reaction: ''Cheezzz … I did not know that he could create this kind of music.'' Album after album, Astropilot offers new unexpected ambiance in completely different universes. For me, he is one of the most diversified and original psychill artists. It is really hard to define Astropilot's genre. Offering a collection of tracks in which we find much space, and ambiance as deep shamanic trance tunes, not to mention a whole bunch of progressive and fast 4/4 kick structure tracks. Each album allows us to see a new surprising face from this artist. With ''Iriy'', it is in a deep trance adventure that we are invited. Each track proposes profound bass lines and groovy 4/4 kicks. It is dancy, but so floaty at the same time. Really intense, but smoochy on the other hand. The sound and the bass hits you in the chest while the shining melody opens your mouth and shows your teeth; a continuous presence of background choir, thus giving a heavenly feeling while keeping moving vibration. Overhall, each track proposes complex progressive structure that develops surprinsingly. As a dj, this album is becoming one of my masterpieces when I mix a deep trance set. Follow Iriy and enter in the dance with your heart opened and your eyes closed! ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: – Gamayun – ''Gamayun'' opens the album really well. Three minutes of etherical and spacy introduction, offered within deep seated vibration. Slowly, the kick shows its nose in natural continuity with the begining. At six minutes everything begins … 4/4 beat structure, smooth background of airy voices and simple melody … beautiful progression. – The Last Night of Svarog – In an intimate ambiance, a track that develops in a pure simplicity. Everything moves, progresses, changes, but at the same time still in the same universe. A surprising deep track that brings you close to the dream. – Svarog's Morning – If the last tune prepared the listener to visit Morpheus, ''Svarog's Morning'' unfolds the daylight. Crystalline sounds intertwined with etherical and shining melody that has chapters of variety and flows well from segment to segment with good development. – Rod -- ''Rod'' is a hypnotical track that develops slowly a gentle melody. In the middle, a crash … everything collapses, to rebirth from the ashes. Heavenly choir accompagnies the journey of the simple but efficient notes. – Makosh – Such a beautiful track... No kick, no dancefloor. Beautiful introdution that recalls the crystaline universe of Icelandic musicians Bjork in her ''Vespertine'' period, Sigur Ros or even Jonsi. Soft bass line appears, you close your eyes and let yourself go in this introspective starlit universe. – Svar-ga – Celestial chants, sparkling sounds, rolling double kick… there we go! Complex tune with multi-layered spectra of warm bass and kick, micro-melodies and tonal motifs enveloped by organic rhythms and divine choir. The best track of the album. – Veda – This track compliments the album's cohesive feel. Less dancy, but still really grounded in a warm bass spectrum. This tune develops unexpected chapters of melody, bringing delicate lines of organic instruments with shining electronic texture. – Back to Midgard – The last track, the last moment to dance. ''Back to Midgard'' surrounds the listener in a deep groovy double kick intertwined with heavenly textures. It is a non-stop building of harmonic soundcape that brings the dance floor in a beautiful daydreaming! There is no need to introduce it any special way. Everyone who are involved with this music genre familiar with its own unique sound and impressed by huge amount of releases. It is eleventh one in lats two years! We can discuss what is a reason for this fertility or how it is really needed for best self-representation on the scene... But lets leave it out of this review. The main thing is that music is certainly has high quality production and tends to be different. Two previous years passed for Koan in some experiments with styles. Releases varied in wide range from totaly slow beatless weird ambient to progressive romantic trance. Series of full length albums were dedicated to different moods and genres so fans were overloaded by tons of tracks. Almost of all those albums appeared more as collection of tracks then as real stories or trips. Now in Condemned everything has changed back. Here we have an epic story with great cinematic effect. For me it is a return to the format of the best masterpieces of the project as Two Moon Butterflies (2006), When The Silence Is Speaking (2009) and The Way Of One (2014) were. It seems like years of experiements were not wasted by composer and all of the gained expirience collected in this new great album. The realese contains of three parts. The first is slow bold ambient of rather epic atmosphere. It is lasts first five tracks. It is not dull at all cause it is morphing all the way bringing different features of contemporary electronic music. The mood is changing too. It is waddling on the edges of more dusk and more light spirits. Great evolution has its top at on From Nowhere to Nowhere (Condemned Mix). Here is the end of the suppositive first part. The the second one (6 to 12 tracks) is a cascade of many different genres and moves from breaks and dub to jazz fusion. Track by track it changes again and again presenting very great development and showing outstanding music purview of the composer. All the practice of last 2 years of other releases is here packed in 6 brilliant tracks that blow your mind with great composition and highest quality sound design. The third part is second climax and summary of the whole release. These two tracks repeated the mood of the middle of tracklist to deliver great conclusion to the album. It is rather long album (102 min of 15 tracks in total) not usual for todays scene. It is not a collection of tracks to bring you section of genre hits. It is not a set of pieces to mix. It is really impressive tale with overture, climax and a plot. Chapter by chapter it is unfolds to you in slow but very diversified way. Sure it is one of the best downtempo trips I've ever heard. It is one of the best downtempo albums. And maybe it the best of Koan. I think it should be cheked by every fan of the music alike.

Artist: Sky Technology Title: Spirituality Label: Timewarp Records Date: October, 2016 1. There is Enough Room For Everyone 2. Dancing Elves 3. Spirituality 4. Cold Ies 5. Somewhere In Travel 6. Enlightenment 7. Hypnotised 8. Trance Asian Express 9. Shamanic Dream 10. Words In Collision So the lord of chaotic goa made...a downtempo album? I'm listening. Dmitriy Kolosovskiy from Kiev is a guy that has taken goa to places that may make some feel uncomfortable yet refreshed at the same time. Like when you decide to wear your wife's panties for the first time. And realize this is who you were meant to be. "Dude, you told your wife you wouldn't leave the house. Just sayin' she's gonna freak." And much like his uptempo style it might not be what you'll expect. Well, maybe you would. He recently released a small EP of slower tempo music with his Free Spirit EP. But let me tell you this is not your father's Ultimae albums. First you're not going to be napping to this. It may be downtempo, but nobody told the instruments that. Second, it's not a pure goa album although there are touches to be found. Dude, so what the f*ck is it? Interesting as hell that's what it is. As I mentioned it's a downtempo album that seems fast, sometimes with frenzied melodies. Almost as if he wanted to make lower tempo music, but he couldn't help himself and some of the chaos got out. The tribal elements are well done and there are plenty of layers to dig through. He's experimenting here, pushing the sound and structure of his tracks, more than casually flirting with techno. It's a chill album that takes the listener on a journey and perhaps shatters any preconceived notions. I will say because it's in that grey zone it isn't the easiest album to digest and for that reason it isn't on the top of my playlist. Psyshop Beatspace

Artist: E-Mantra Title: Raining Lights Label: Altar Records Date: December, 2015 Part I 1. Starlights 2. I Shall Not Care 3. Veiled Clouds 4. Kaleidoscope Clouds (Main Sequence Star Remix) Part II 5. Gethsemane 6. The Darkest Hours 7. Resurrection 8. Fiat Lux For me this gif sums up the latest album by our dear Romanian friend Mr. Carpus. First off let's say that he has been one of the greatest producers of goa trance in the modern era. His three goa albums not to mention the stuff he did as Eleusyn are some of the most drifting and beautiful goa trance that you will find. This is his fifth foray into the downtempo/progressive arena and I'm of two minds. One, it's good music just like his previous efforts with this type of music. He gets all soundtracky with The Darkest Hour and that is easily my favorite. And that cow sure seems to dig it. But... I think our cup runneth over. How many times is he going to milk this cow with extremely similar music? I'll liken this to Cybernetika's recent output. Yeah his drum n bass sci-fi storytelling is awesome, but he's beating that horse to death. If he releases another one in that vein I might go to the pet store, buy a cat, and then drive home so I can throw it out the window. *Mr. Kelly Peta on line one" "Edith we talked about this. Say it." *sigh* "Mr. Fox line one." "That's better. Line one you say?" Look, I can take or leave the progressive tempo stuff and the downbeat is good, but it sounds similar to a lot of his output. While pleasing to the ear there wasn't anything that made this album a must have and to be honest I think it was the weakest in his catalog. I mean, I still bought it because I'm a completionist and I have problems, but normal folk may come away from this disappointed. Altar Bandcamp Psyshop

Artist: Asura Title: Radio Universe Label: Ultimae Records Date: November, 2014 1. Overture 2. Interlude Sky 3. Oblivion Gravity 4. Gaea (Transit) 5. Ascension In Blue 6. Farscape 7 7. Lonely Star 8. Illuminations 9. Back To Earth 10. Everlasting (Album Edit) You think that Trump can't say dumber things, but then it becomes tomorrow. So the reaction above is either his latest piece of verbal bile or you just listened to the last album from Asura. Mouth meet floor in both cases. And that was just the first track. What a stunning piece of music this is. Look Ultimae and Charles are well established as the premier leaders in ambient and downtempo music, but this is unbelievable. It's traveling through space on a massive star freighter in the distant future. Sweeping pads provide stunning views of celestial glory. It's ultra HD immersive theater that crawls at a snails pace sweeping up everything in its path. Melodies are cold and warm simultaneously and you feel just how insignificant you are in the vast cosmos. At times he channels his inner Vangelis and Kitaro giving you a front row seat as ambient images take shape excruciatingly slowly. Blade Runner meet Silk Road. Oblivion Gravity is so vivid I felt joy and terror at the same time. It was deliciously slow torture that brought out emotions and made me...feel. It's not all dark though as Ascension in Blue let's the solar rays stream through the rugby sized pitch window. Ayten's voice is haunting on Farscape 7 and Lonely Star with its piano and measured pace seem to be another nod in the direction of Vangelis. Charles made a beautiful downtempo track incorporating a little bit of dubstep. That sh*t is epic and brings a smile to my face every time. Alas nobody is perfect and for this album that is due to the plodding and uninteresting Illuminations. It doesn't come close to the gravity and grandeur exhibited by the rest of the tracks. No surprises as it slowly drips like the last bit of maple syrup. Back To Earth isn't a song at all, but merely a night spent amongst the frogs and crickets during a rainstorm. Perhaps that's where the escape pod landed after ejecting from the spacecraft upon Earth re-entry. The final track is a very positive one with a vibe that lets you know that everything will be all right. So there you have it. True quality from Ultimae and Asura like you would expect. Not perfect, but the tracks that are good are stellar. Interstellar if you will. Take a ride into space. You won't be disappointed. Btw...I ordered the FLAC from Ultimae, but it seems that the CD comes with a 16 page booklet. Don't know what's in the booklet. Could be porn, so you might wanna check it out. Ultimae

Pete Ardron Unexpected Pleasures with Teresa Gabriel, Psibindi, Onyx Ashanti, Sayak Mitra, Myo, Samantha Ray, Harmony Yemanya & Helen Francis Pink Hampster Recordings PHCD12 Audio album taster: https://soundcloud.com/peteardron/unexpected-pleasures-taster-mix Video album taster Pete Ardron (of Orchid-Star) releases his 10th solo album (with guests) on Nov 4th 2016. Call it Psybient/Psychill/Psydub/Ethno-chill/World-fusion or whatever, this shows the usual signs of Pete’s main influences - psychedelic, classical (from the turn of the 20th century), and world music, with a strong Indian influence running through much of it. Musically it carries on very much where Orchid-Star’s Birth left off. Having been persuaded to take the band more uptempo for the 2nd album (Faster), Pete started this album at the same time, finally finishing it a decade later. It is a chocolate box full of gorgeous and very different guest performances, from the epic Hindi/Urdu torch song Mera Dil (my heart) – almost 9 minutes of stunning, passionate wall–to-wall vocals from Psibindi - to the entrancing, quirky, random incursions of deaf vocalist Helen Francis into the gentle, dubby title track, sharing the vocal credits with the beautiful morning song of a Scottish blackbird. Orchid-Star vocalists Samantha Ray and Myo also feature along with 2 tracks from radiant Portuguese singer songwriter Teresa Gabriel, flautist Harmony Yemanya, a bewitching, genre-blending collaboration with beatjazz wind-control virtuoso Onyx Ashanti (Soul II Soul/Basement Jaxx) who also appeared on Birth, and a cover (the first Pete has ever done one) of Ami Tar Thikana Rakhini – a big Bengali hit for Manna Dey in the 1960s, with newcomer Sayak Mitra. Reviews: PsyAmb Sun is Shining Dub n Chill On CD: Pink Hampster, Amazon, Beatspace, Psyshop and many more Digital: Google Play, iTunes, Amazon, Beatport, Junodownload, Trackitdown and many more Tracklisting 1. Angel [6:46] with Samantha Ray (vocals) 2. Vignette [5:30] 3. Bridges [6:45] with Onyx Ashanti (wind controller – synths, bass, piano), Myo (vocals) 4. Intergalactic Journey was a sold out event that I hosted, arranged and performed at in Tallinn on October 22nd 2016, featuring the most epic chillout lineup we could find from the underground scene of Estonia, including my good friend Fuluf well known in this forum. Artist: Lunar Dawn TItle: Triglav Label: Neogoa Records Date: April, 2016 1. Jav 2. Nav 3. Prav 4. Golden Arms Of Kresnik (Journey Into Sound Remix) 5. Svarog's Celestial Fire (Proxeeus Remix) 6. Golden Arms of Kresnik (Lectro Spektral Daze Remix) 7. Svarog's Celestial Fire (Dragon Twins Remix) "Darkness! No parents! Super rich! Kinda makes it better!" I did not realize that Triglav was also the name of a heavy metal band from the Ukraine. But I ain't about that. Gotta love Neogoa. A label whose only goal was to release quality goa trance for free has certainly blossomed into something quite irreplaceable. While they still stay true to the mantra of goa trance liberation they've also dipped their toe into limited album sales. To which I say thank God because the music they release is certainly worth having in physical form. Lunar Dawn recently released their debut album Kolovrat which was steeped in Slavic folklore and mythology. Triglav is a continuation of that with 4 extra tracks (remixes of two tracks from that debut album) for those that order the digipak. This duo is no stranger to an album full of remixes or have you forgotten the Blessings From Irij digital release? On top of that the artwork in the form of wallpapers are also included. The cover is quite intricate and invites the eye to search out new apects every time I look at it. Jav certainly sets the medieval atmosphere with a very folksy and Games of Thrones gravitas. You can just feel the mud of the land and the privileged royalty. Nav is where we get down to the business of goa trance. And also where we get a real world instrument contribution on the bouzouki from Amir John Haddad whcih adds to that ethnic vibe. I'll be honest I felt very European listening to that. Prav for me was the weakest track that felt too full-oney without any of the feelings of the others. But then we get to the remixes and it's a tough job to remix great tracks. One thing that is a must for a remix is that it cannot be a carbon copy of the original with just a few different sounds. And the two chosen for remixes were some of the best tracks on Kolovrat. Golden Arms of Kresnik and Svarog's Celestial Fire are such epic tracks that carry the medieval folk melodies as a shield on one arm and a battle axe of goa trance in the other hand. The remix by J.I.S. gives it some hyper motion with other melodies and a break that was quite appealing. The LSD remix of the same track however felt unremarkable and inferior to the original in pretty much every way. Too herky jerky for my tastes. Proxeeus had me with that 303 wobble and I never looked back while the Dragon Twins applied a little BOTB acidic flare to their effort. Both with great results. I appreciate the effort that went into this and for Lunar Dawn and Neogoa to offer this as a physical release well I think it's got its place in my collection. Happy to have it there. That said it's not the shiniest gem in the Neogoa crown with a couple of tracks that fall short of greatness. Sometimes I felt that it was seemed more important to incorporate the ethnic mythological feel in the tracks that the actual goa trance took a back seat. I didn't feel that way with Kolovrat. It was so deep and involved and struck a harmonious balance. That said the majority of the music found within is really good. Sound quality is beyond reproach from my ears and the art is a joy to behold. Free at Ektoplazm, but don't be a cheap f*ck...buy the digipak and get the 4 extra tracks.

This is pleasantly alluring, a gracious invitation to an ear-candy experience where the mind wonders off into other dimensions. It is incredibly easy to let go and get lost, making It the perfect companion to an open-world video game. The game itself is not required to have a good time, however. All you need to do is press play. Get up and dance or sit back and relax. Whatever you do, open your mind and close your eyes as these thirty-two tracks take you to another planet. Seriously, its going to be great. Solar Fields has created a work of art that musical lovers everywhere can praise, so turn on your sound system and get ready for an atmospheric voyage into complete and utter bliss. 10/10 All tracks are written and produced by Solar Fields

Artist: Circular Title: Moon Pool Label: Ultimae Records Date: July, 2014 1. Lunokhod 2. Selenic Light 3. Theory of Tides 4. Ashlands 5. Three Moons 6. Imbrium (featuring AES Dana) 7. Synchronous 8. Meteorites "You think you're safe? You are not." The wizards at Ultimae strike again with the latest album from this Norwegian duo. I usually only collect goa, but this label has produced so much quality music that I'm thinking of jumping on the Ultimae bandwagon. That loud "F*ck you!" was from my wallet. And probably my wife also if she ever finds out. Just a few notes... Lunokhod begins as an ambient piece with drifting sounds and emotions for most of it's 13 minute length before a steady thumping kick drives it home. Great opener that blends real world instruments, electronics, and nature sounds. Selenic Light is a massive glacier of shimmering sound reflecting the sunlight right into your eyes. Nary a beat to be found. Theory of Tides is another atmospheric gem that tickles the abstract before it also delivers a steady kick after a lengthy ambient beginning. Deliciously long and satisfying. Ashlands is the most aggressive track yet with a churning, bubbling cauldron of forlorn melodies and electronic sounds. 3 Moons has a deep bass that provides the framework for the smile inducing melody and the bubbling 303 rumbling underneath. You have to strain to hear it, but that draws me deeper into the music. Imbrium featuring Aes Dana is a glitchy track with strong dub overtones. Distorted almost, but it became more enjoyable once the beat disappeared. Imbrium flows right into Synchronous and at the outset is cosmic ambient at its finest. All the layers are perfect, a true front row seat to the moving galaxy. The beat kind of ruins it for me though and it becomes too cluttered. Meteorites closes it out with a very positive and hopeful track that combines the cosmic atmosphere and the sounds of nature. A very good album that I will certainly come back too. Relaxing and thought provoking. Ultimae Psyshop

Name: Svemirski Hod Label: Neogoa Records Release date: April 2016 Zenith 01 - OXI - Haphazard Dance (Nova Fractal Remix) (145 BPM) 02 - Zopmanika - Cosmic Influence (145 BPM) 03 - Imba & Hisia - Elysium Island (143 BPM) 04 - Omnivox - 5 Dimensions (143 BPM) 05 - Stellar Force - Astral Dive (145 BPM) 06 - Lunar Dawn - Orbiting The Sun (143 BPM) 07 - Cosmic Dimension - Another Species (146 BPM) 08 - Main Sequence Star - North Pole (120 BPM) Nadir 09 - Arronax - Dive Into Merak (110 BPM) 10 - Goasia - Skylander (142 BPM) 11 - Arcane Voice - Cerridwen's Potion (144 BPM) 12 - Ezoterica - Universal Mind (150 BPM) 13 - Screw Loose & Stevo - Celestial Bleeps (146 BPM) 14 - M-Run - Galactic Hunt (Part I) (140 BPM) 15 - CoaGoa - Tesla Coil (145 BPM) 16 - OXI - Edge Of The Universe (140 BPM) 17 - Perfect Blind - The Expanse (100 BPM) Time to review this Goa beast from Neogoa. About time. OXI's Haphazard Dance has been vamped by Nova Fractal and the man has done a superb job. I really like the original and Nova has put some more space sauce on top of it. Delicious! Love the warm rolling bassline and crisp production. Euphoric trance all the way. Zopmanika. Never ever heard of the name. Balkan, sure. Good? Fuck yeah! Bubbly jumpy melodic goa that doesn't give you one moment of rest. Once you get into the groove, it's party time! Just saw he has an album out on Sita records. Should check it out! In comes Imba, da masta. ;-) In collab with Hisia. They sure know how to control a lot of acid. It's really incredible. A track can hold much acids sounds, but the magic is to make it sound harmonious, danceable and just fingerlicking good. These gentlemen do a terrific job here. They throw a incredibly sweet trance break in it and there we go again. Superb track!!! Numero 4 in the list is Omnivox with 5 Dimensions. A lush deep track that takes the energy and beastiness of the previous track down. Very well placed imo. It was time for something deeper and floatier. The track is very psychedelic with lots of stabbing sound effects and many layers. Extremely well crafted. Absolutely loving it, mainly because it's so lush and hypnotic. Stellar Force, a collab between Imba and yes OXI. Starts off hesitating, but after a while you realise it's just the intro. After 2 minutes, all sounds come in full force and create a whirlwind of psychedelia all around. Is it the collab with OXI or has Imba just reached the pro level of goa trance creation? Because this is greatness. Really, I'm astounded. Thanks for the orgasm at minute 7. Up next is Croatian talent Lunar Dawn with the beautiful track Orbiting The Sun. My god is he settling a name for himself. Again high quality spiralling goa trance with a basskick so deep. It goes up and down, makes you dizzy, makes you smile. Warm positive goa trance that is a pleasure for the ears. Perhaps my favorite of the compilation because it's so damn hypnotizing. It just goes on and on like a train at lightspeed. Bazinga!!!!!! Cosmic Dimensions Another Species is for sure a dance floor bursting track. The darker bassline made me thinking if it was going to be a track that I was going to skip, but no way. Although I didn't feel it for "In a special kind of space", this track is much better and twisty. Yes, approved. We have now two downtempo tracks which I can't really review. To me it's nice background music. Next goa track is Goasia's skylander, which sounds so oldschool, it's too oldschool for me. Don't know if the track is from the 90's or recent, but the lack of a solid bassline makes me skip it. I'm sure many of you will disagree. Cerridwens Potion has the intention to lift off at any time, but never manages to do so. I'm sure with fluo and blacklights everything sounds better, and although this is not a bad track at all, it falls short in terms of surprises amongst the other stuff. Ezoterica sounds way too old for me to enjoy, same as with Goasia. Sorry, but skip. Celestial Bleeps and Galactic hunt are too trippy for me, but will surely find an audience. Tesla Coil is a ear worm with some hook I can't get rid off in my head, but a twist or some surpsises would have made it more enjoyable. Aaah, back with OXI and Edge Of the Universe. God I love his basskick. The track has many parts, and when they all come together in the end it's pure bliss. Pure Goa madness that needs to be played at some Old Is Gold party in september. ;-) We close with another downtempo track. And that's the great end of it. CONCLUSION Svemirski Hod is a fantastic goa trance compilation and features top class tracks from both emerging and established goa trance artists. I must applaud to all artists involved and the Neogoa label for bringing this to us. Even for free, which is almost unbelievable. But for the artists it is a huge boost for their career now that everyone can listen to these superb goa gems. Simply amazing. Job well done. Download at Ektoplazm
