  1. Is Xenomorph considered as Darkpsy and if so, which substyle is it? (I'm not a Darkpsy fan but I do like the above.....in general, my main problem is the bpm.....and most of the time the lack of depth and musicality, though I could be mistaken on that last one because I do not follow any of the artists......)
  2. My thoughts exactly .... ! Another example of overuse of samples: Space Tribe
  3. LOL ... ... Mind the gap though.....could be hurtful ... ...
  4. though one ....i'm going for "World of Sleepers" .... Prog dillemma...: Ticon or Tegma?
  5. Infected Mushroom has the best cheese ... Shpongle oder Shulman?
  6. shitty stick (better than a poke in the slick witch) (Sienna's rmx)
  7. Definately Ace! I once believed Israeli artists were the crème de la crème in psytrance production....
  8. I only have "Creation" and "Dimensions" ...... of which the first is the better imo ..... They're both ok but i still don't know if i like "Dimensions" ...... I agree on the Violet Vision track being the better one and the fact that it doesn't get any better than that on the cd ...... unfortunately it's the first track so it goes downhill from the second track already ...... Lo Ra is an ok track but not up there in the spirit of "Khadafi" or even "Stretched" ..... imo....as a matter of fact I find the J.Viewz track "Room for me, Room for sweetz (laid back mix) the best of "Creation" .... a bit loungy, granted (but we are talking about "israchill" here ...) but still playfull and interesting ..... Haven't listened to both of them in a long time now...perhaps that says it all .....
  9. Voted for STAR WARS, The Matrix (only the first!!!), Back to the future, 12 Monkeys and the 5th element.... one that wasn't on the list: Immortals from Enki Bilal.....
  10. The second one works better for me.... Hallucinogen or Kox Box?
  11. Me too! Remember being a huge fan of Hommega, BNE, MDMA sometimes, Krembo sometimes, ... back then ....and was always looking forward for albums of Psysex, Psycraft, Xerox, IM, Space Cat, Oforia, Domestic, Cosma, ... Back then they all produced music with soul....instead something predictably silly that we've all heard before.....a pity....
  12. Just received: KLIMENT - THE PERPETUAL RITUAL (Electrik Dream) AKD - PROGRESSING... (Soulectro Music) pending: VA - TRIBAL MATRIX 2 (Dakini) ASURA - LOST EDEN (TV Matters) VA - TANTRANCE 2 (Subterranean) VA - THE TRUTH OF COMMUNICATION (Matsuri pRODUCTIONS) DMT - DMT (Twisted) GALAXY - SCIENCE OF ECSTASY (Chillcode) BPC - BLUEPRINT FOR SURVIVAL (DAT) ELEA - STELLAR CONNECTION (Space Tepee)
  13. Thank you very much Draeke!! Awaiting this release as I write this.....all I wish to say further is that I think you (and your team) are doing great things for "the scene" but more important for the music lover in general, for the people! A big thank you is in order here.... :clapping:
  14. UP ==> DISTANCE TO GOA 4 DOWN ==> NATURAL BORN CHILLERS These are no definates but they will most probably always return in my top 3 of best compilations and best chill album, hence my choice!
  15. Distance to goa 3 & 4 Retrodelica 1 & 2 (Flying Rhino) Travelling 1 to 5 (Rough Trade) goodies..... :posford:
  16. I voted for books but I do enjoy the movies of the LOTR sage better than the books........all those lists of names.......
  17. Indeed a great compilation! A typical (back then = great) IM-track for starters, a psychedelic ballad Tim schuldt-style followed by two great tracks from GMS (yes...?!) and Avi SpaceCat... The Talamasca live version isn't as good as the original on Beyond the mask but still more than decent..... Then 2 tracks I don't like: Total Eclipse - Altenatif and Oforia - Impulse....(and I like Oforia a lot....) Finishing this comp are two classics in a modern version: Future Prophecy's rmx for X-Dreams' - The 2nd room......leaning towards the original, very much so......and Etnica's rmx for their überclassic Trip Tonite........ :posford:
  18. Some more compilations: VA - Eclipse, a journey of permanence & impermanence VA - Illuminations Some more artists: Toires - Majmar, the remixed album part one (...) Astral waves - Mystique
  19. Before discovering Trance music I was listening to Rock and Metal most of the time. I believe it was in 1994 that I started to discover Trance music in the form of club trance, which was quite popular in the nineties here in Belgium. Albums like Dance Opera trip 2/3/4, music from the dance temple Extreme (e.g. Phi-Phi), I was rapidly digesting them... . Not long after that I felt these tracks on those cd's leave me a bit unsatisfied every time I hear them.....sure, perhaps they were a great deal of fun on the dancefloor of some party but to listen to them, I mean just listen and appreciate the piece of music that is flying into your ear.....and so I discovered the Forbidden Paradise mix-series from the back then still very unknown dj dj Tiësto....(to be honest, FP3 was my first one....)....a mixture of trance, hard trance, acid trance in a energetic mix.....actually, come to think about it FP3 & 4 were very good...... Anyway, so in 1995 I was wandering a bit in the local record store in search of great music when I stumbled upon a double compilation cd called Travelling. Looking at the backcover I reckognised not a single artist on the tracklist. The cover was great though: a trippy pic of a smoked dark red Ganesha surrounded by blurry images of snakes and spiders...... "Universal Psychedelic Trance" it read somewhere on the cover..... I decided to give it a listen at the counter......man.....what was that.....I was perplexed.....I really was......I remember that the first track completely sucked me out of this world and into another.....full of sound.......I mean my body was still standing at the counter but my mind was floating out there.......so the first Goa track I heard was Rainbow Spirit feat. DJ Sangeet - Sirius Shuttle...an almost eleven minute hypnotic ride with an escape pod from ... ... I listened to the entire album at the counter of the store until they closed and the next day I came back to buy the cd..... At home I fell in love with Etnica - Spheric Konzept.........(only later I discovered that this track is actually called Moon Influence...) A few days later I returned to the shop, armed with a larger budget, more time at hand but more important a list with at all the artists I liked on Travelling....my guide...... I returned home with Distance to Goa 2 & 3 & 4, Space Tribe - Sonic Mandala, Hallucinogen - Twisted....great albums!! There you have it.....it was love at first sight...... :wank:
