  1. Thanks! Btw, I'm preparing a better mixed version now, hope to get it released soon.
  2. Awesome! These melodies ... Man, I really like your music. Are you planning to make releases?
  3. Come to us in 2018, we will (at least we still are supposed to) host EURO. Also we will have the tallest European skyscraper by this year - you will be able to look at the city from 300 m height, probably you'll even see Finland I know this word - Pietari. Does it mean something per se, or is it just a short verion of the city's name? (we call it 'Piter' ourselves).
  4. Yeah, still there (It's Saint-Petersburg now). We have a direct train to Helsinki - been there in 2015, such a lovely city, I'm planning to go there again this or next year. It's closer than Moscow actually.
  5. Yeah, such an awesome album definitely deserves two review threads!
  6. What is that preset? This masaray track sounds old and not especially well produced but I liked it more than most goa tracks which are generally considered "good" These arpeggiated things around 11:00 are real fun.
  7. Thanks, will check out their music. I've heard some Prog-a-lot (which is the proggy project of Ocelot) and quite liked it.
  8. Living at the opposite end of the world I don't know much about the blm movement and also don't know if racism and discrimination towards black people still exists in USA, too bad if it does. But generally any activism related to defending discriminated/endangered people/creatures/things often turns into the worst parody of itself when its primary goals are reached. When these people/creatures/things are in fact no more discriminated/endangered the activists must pretend that they still are because otherwise the whole their movement obviously would lose all reasons to exist anymore. I've seen this on different levels. And yes, if you believe in conspiracy theories and psy ops this boring world becomes much more interesting place
  9. Btw, could you name the most interesting or at least most known psytrance acts/artists originating from USA? I've just figured out that I don't know any American psy act (sure, there must be some good ones).
  10. How is it worse than most neo-goa out there? I can't say I especially like it but to me it sounds pretty average.
  11. I'd say Ananda Shake. They are ultra cheesy, but I always thought that they are doing it in self-humorous manner.
  12. I couldn't even imagine that goa fans will call it goa. To me it sounds like full-on/morning psy. Well, probably it's a sign that really good music can't be easily pigeonholed
  13. There was a thread about this recently. https://www.psynews.org/forums/topic/71966-why-psytrance-doesnt-attract-a-bigger-audience/ The OP (Mr. Anarchy) is Serbian, so it's clearly not only US thing.
  14. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks so:) They overcompressed it and overdone with the saturation or some kind of bass/trenble enchancers - but this seems to be their apporach, e.g. the whole album "Elepho - Goa Journeys 2010-2012" suffers from the same thing even worse.
  15. Mastering is the kind of processing which is applied to the whole track (as opposed to mixing). Usually when you mix your stems (individual synths, drums etc) the resulting audio file sounds quieter than commercial records and may have other issues - then you do "mastering" which is aimed at making it louder, fatter, better balanced, more compatible with different playback systems. However the words "good/bad mastering" are often (wrongly) used to define production quality in general. An example of what mastering is about: This is my own track mastered by myself this is exactly the same source file mastered by a professional at Goa Records They sound clearly different (and frankly I like my verision better but that's another story).
  16. Why no girl on the cover? Really nice mix, thanks for sharing (except that it could do without Shakira and Michael Jackson imo). Btw, you pick the melodies in the IM remix by ear?
  17. This is darker and more evil/intence than what I'm usually listening to, but I've really enjoyed the whole album. These guys have some real melodic talent and know how to create captivating atmosphere. I think, I recognize Access Virus in most of the synth sounds (given that it was 2008 it must be very likely that they indeed had one), which makes me love it even more
  18. Used to be People Can Fly but finally I got tired of it (no wonder after 100500 listens), now Sticks and Stones
  19. Yeah, this abominable acapella deserves just this kind of treatment! Well made - fat, huge and intence.
  20. Sorry, Cm instead of Am. I had not enough coffee when I wrote this. However you may also try Am for some "edginess". Or Adim
  21. Interesting album. Intence and melodious, clever chord changes and harmonies which I would love to hear in psytrance more often. My only gripe is that the sounds are a bit too samey throughout the whole album. Thanks to Ormion for telling me about Tickets
