  1. Agreed 100%. Cosmic Dimension has better tracks on "Future Architecture 2" and "Ten Spins Around The Sun". Anyway, I also believe they are going to unleash a classic within the next few years once they have all the elements in the proper places.
  2. This one feels like a Braincell album to me. There are two stand-out tracks and eight really good but not-quite special tracks in the bunch. "Brain Dissolver", I feel, is some high-quality full-on - it has a great blast of energy and some real addictive hooks. That's not to say that it's Psilocybian at his finest, though. "Strange Place To Play" is much better (in Braincell-esque fashion, the album ends on some heart-rending down tempo). The track is weird, quirky and stunningly gorgeous, perhaps one of the best Psilocybian has made under this moniker or even under the Screw Loose title.
  3. Gave this one a listen based on this review - thank you! "Extraterrestrial" became too proggy for my tastes but "Sub Standards" is quite, quite good. A nice blend of effects, energy and atmosphere, a really impressive track overall.

    RA - Unearthly

"Floating Shrine of Inanna" is wonderful, very easy to float away on the bliss of this one. As Jon implied above, it gets better each time you listen to it. It grabbed me, I connected with it, on the very first listen, though. Some of the other tracks, while still beautiful and well-crafted, are not nearly as ethereal.
  5. After all this feedback I'm going to need to listen to "Alnitak Sunrise" a few more times, I'm impressed by it but certainly not blown away. "Mindstream Continuum", however, is phenomenal - great layers, great energy, a solid trip that I wish were about four minutes longer! A couple of the earlier tracks are not so great but there are some true gems on this album. "Agape Sophia" gets better each time I hear it and may end up being a favorite eventually! (Edited version: "Alnitak Sunrise" really is great, very catchy! Not sure it's the best on the album but it's hard to say that it isn't. Most of this album will provide something new on each listen so who knows what the "best" one will be next time. I wonder if tracks 2 & 3 will get better...)
  6. "Mind Therapy" by JIS and "Gods Of Annihilation" by GoaTree are stand-outs. "Kalindian" by Kurandini is an instant classic to me - very, very impressed by this track, even more so because it's the only one he(?) has released so far.
  7. Thank you, will definitely check it out!
  8. Laughing Skull has the best track here, ridiculously good track, slaps a smile on my face each time I hear it.
  9. Will this be the last track? What a beautiful closer, if it is....
  10. What a fantastic album. These two stalwarts have done it again. Highly recommended! +1 Yes, indeed! The Omnivox track is an absolute beast but "Virtual Mind Cleaner" is incomparable, best track on the album, imo.
  11. By putting "Vs. Aes Dana" in the artist credit. Since it was strictly an Asura track originally, my assumption was that an Aes Dana touch would be somehow present. Again, though, not a criticism, it is a very, very beautiful track and had not heard it before this compilation came to life.
  12. Nice! Love the Omnivox tracks from "Future Architecture" and "Memories From Goa Madness", most definitely looking forward to hearing this!
  13. Did not notice a difference between the new version of "Elie" and the original, they sound very, very similar. That, though, is not a criticism as the track is superb and I'm very much enchanted by it. Still, it's presented as a new version and it does not sound that way.
  14. Excellent topic - was looking for a discussion along these lines. As mentioned, Ott. and Androcell definitely make my list. Without question, the newer guys like Radioactive Sandwich and Globular - both have been putting out great releases for a while and both have put out some unbelievably good albums. "Mirage" by Radioactive Sandwich and "A Self-Fulfilling Prophecy" by Globular are their best. As chance would have it, both are free at Ektoplazm. "Life Is Nice" by Kukan Dub Lagan is one I feel that deserves more recognition. "Blumenkraft" and "Hallucinogen In Dub" from Ott. are on my all-time list. "Efflorescence" by Androcell is my favorite though none of his three full-lengths lack anything. Anxiously awaiting his fourth album.... The "Healing with Sound" EP from Brujo's Bowl is heaven, wish he would abandon that Zenon-esque sound and do psy-dub on a full-time basis. Slightly off-topic: "Hermit's Sanctuary" by E-Mantra; "Tales of the Inexpressible" and "Nothing Lasts..." by Shpongle; "Tales of the Coin Spinner" by Easily Embarrassed; "Kinetik" by Phuturprimitive and the "Spiritual Doping" compilation from Neogoa are all on constant rotation in my personal playlists.

    E-Mantra - Nemesis

Agreed completely! I did not like most of Nemesis on the first listen. That said, it does get better with repeat listens. Hermit's Sanctuary is his masterpiece, I feel. Not a bad track in the bunch and each were delicious to my ears from the very first listen. To stay on topic though, "Ayahuasca" is stunning!!! Best track on Nemesis.
  16. Have only listened to three tracks so far and Imba's remix of E-Rection is excellent! Real excited about the rest of the project, just one small sample size produced a gem.
  17. ^^^ That Omnivox track is a beast! Did not care for it too much the first time around but it popped up on random on the iPod recently and made my energy levels go through the roof. As well, went back after reading some of the other suggestions to refresh on a couple tracks. Spot-on call about Antares, "Xibalba" is a lot of fun!
  18. 1. JBC Arkadii - Molekula 2. PharaOm - Cellar Door 3. Lunar Dawn - Blessing From Irij 4. Psychowave - Dancem Macacos, Dancem 5. GoaTree - The Prayer 6. Omnivox - Inner Polarity (2014 Rework) 7. Screw Loose - From Fear To Eternity 8. Siam - In Void 9. Sky Technology vs Nova Fractal - Dark Energy (Versus Mix) 10. Menkalian & GoaHuman - Spirit Of Life I almost feel that with all the great down tempo stuff Neogoa has released, it would be criminal to not include at least one in this collection.
  19. I've had this album on repeat since it was released in January and am amazed that it has not received more recoginition. There are a lot of criticisms on this forum toward full-on and its lack of diversity or creativity. This particular EP is the exception to that rule. All three tracks are splendid but in particular, "Arcanum Arcanorum" is some of the best full-on you could hope to hear - a track that only gets better with each listen. Trust me on this, I've listened to the track a couple dozen times and it has not lost any of its luster. To cap it off, "La Cueva Del ErmitaƱo" is a splendid down tempo conclusion to the two epic journies that come before it on the EP. That such an impressive contrast in style comes from a man who, thus far, has only released these three tracks only makes the whole that much more impressive. I'm sure listening to the album through Ektoplazm, where it is offered as a free download, is nice, you'd be better off playing this through a proper speaker system or with a quality set of headphones. There is magic in the details of this music and the frenetic energy only gets crisper at higher volumes. http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/galactivation-open-the-stargate
  20. This album blew me away - very weird and creative but still somehow very accessible. I went into it with low expectations and came out holding a diamond.
