  1. Hi, Where do you live and how much do you want for this one : Snake Thing - Scorch / Strangeness & Charm 1997 TIP
  2. Word. I was just like that when I was in lukio (regarding psytrance) , it was all listened to XDD
  3. Yes because these vinyls i.e acetates are made by the aforementioned-like machine by carving the blank vinyls`surface. The material used in this process is not as hard as that of a factory made record which is made by pressing. @ oopium : you live in Hki, right? there`s a place (Sound data or something) just opposite the Opera house that used to make records on demand, pay them a visit.
  4. Egosentrifug - The Cook and coming up, Nitin Sawhney - Dead Man
  5. I recall hearing that they are updating their pages.
  6. Well, yeah I guess he kinda is. But that´s also a matter of taste. I always preferred stuff like s.w.m or masaray, etc... to hallucinogen.
  7. Aye, duly noted. I just asked cause it`s probably the only "low numbers" release that I have. But still, the first suomisaundi vinyl release
  8. I don`t know how hard it is to find, but the bliss point sampler ep was also in the 200-300 copy range.
  9. Agreed, thats one crafty album I`d wager that the reason psyH releases are rarely noticed is that they lack proper distribution. Look at the other Aussie labels, Demon tea , Edgecore... Not to mention the Jap stuff, Equinox, Elejam, Comma...
  10. Well, I dont know how you can mix without the gear, see? And like people already said, traktor will get you nowhere. I myself play vinyl, but I`d guess that the majority of people who play goa\psy use cdjs so get yourself a pair and a decent mixer. Learn to beatmatch, know your songs and pay attention to the structure of the songs and like someone said earlier in the thread, tell a story. Djaying is skill + good taste + reading the crowd, not rocket science.
  11. How can I get my hands on a copy of Rip van Hippy`s "When Bernie was a Tree" and how much do people want for it?

    James Reipas - Uwaga

    1. We Are Not Intelligent 2. Baltic Sea 3. Righto 4. Kashahum 5. Rauma 6. Nopsakka 7. Creatures 8. Nature Of Reipas part III 9. Why Does It Always Have To Be New 10. Midnight Valssi 11. Syntikkaihme 12. Return A day off and a new record =) Atleast for me this was a long-awaited release, after their killer debut (s) on Demon Tea and the Lola Gain Ep on Devic Craft Cordings (rip) we are treated to another round of Reipas songs. If you have had the chance to see them live, they are more like a traditional band than a laptop live of which there seems to be an abundance nowadays, having live drumming, percussions, guitars & bass on top of the electronic wizardry. Like the first album, I wouldn`t go to call this trance, while many of the songs fall in the 4/4 kick pattern it reminds me more of the 2nd Rip Van Hippy Album, with those quirky and often videogame-ish sounds often heard in Finnish trance with wistful Slavic melodies (Finland is not Scandinavia, folks) not unlike the band Aavikko and echoes of Dub. The final tracks in the album also have a strange Benza-like quality that I can`t quite put my finger on. The album gathers steam throughout its course from mellow chill-out (how I hate that word, placid and bland) through caustic breakbeats to dancefloor mayhem. My favourite tracks are "Kashahum" which rolls along smoothly, "Nature Of reipas part III" which has excatly the feel which I came to expect from them, a steady Suomisaundi number with some acoustic guitar thrown into the mix, also "Syntikkaihme" and "Return" are memorable, ass-kicking c64 rave I consider this a worthy successor to the Reipas discography of yore, and fights for the #1 Freakdance release spot with Luomuhappo. 8 1/2 out ov 10

  19. Hmm I don`t go that often to parties anumore, but here`s some pointers; -Music that surprises you and makes you laugh. -Small parties held by people who love music. -Ravers who love the music, as opposed to teenagers whose main idea seems to be to take as much speed\xtc\ghb as possible. -The whole indie *.mp3 releasing trance community, some crap, some gold, all free, made by people just because they have a passion for making music. -Adventurous labels, which still release fresh sounding stuff, and sign lesser\unknown artists, instead of offering money to already established producers which would just narrow the field, musicwise.
  20. Hmm. I didnt bother to read more than the intial post, so if something`s already been addressed, I couldn´t care less. Because everybody reviews their favorite music. Of course? Why would I spend what little money I nowadayz have on music that I wouldn´t like? Should I buy a Alien project record just so I can tell that I didn`t like it, giving it an "honest" low score, only to be contradicted by the next oncoming tubester who happens to like the record, which one of us is more "honest" , If you find objective reviews somewhere on the web, please shoot us the url... I really wanna check them out. How about you taking the time to google the album in question, I`m sure you will find multiple reviews for it
  21. Agreed, Children of the Bong are gold, and as to the others, I`ve found Psy-Harmonics to be a very consistent label in terms of quality
