  1. Posted on Shpongle's MySpace blog in late January: "Please sign up to my labels (Twisted Records) Mailing list to be the FIRST TO KNOW about my releases such as Shpongle 4, Hallucinogen 3, Ott 2, and Younger Brother - The Last Days of Gravity." Well, well... what to make of this? Unbelievably good news? Premature announcement? Wishful thinking? Hype? Just a dirty way to get people sign up to Twisted's mailing list? http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...42-77bedb13981a
  2. I wondered about that "Orkidea exclusive(!) psy set" set too and came to the cynical conclusion that he's there to attract the masses of glowstick ravers. (To non-Finnish ppl here: he's probably the most popular DJ in Finland and he plays mostly mainstream trance & house) In fact now I remember him playing a psy set at a Man With No Name party I was at about four years ago. I don't quite remember what he played, but I think it was something rather unmemorable, because otherwise I should remember it. And yeah I should go the Juno Reactor party too. Anyway can't wait to see Posford play!
  3. It was in the promo info of a JR gig in Finland in June: http://www.elixiria.fi/forum/viewtopic.php...d1367d7e4b693ab They must've got it from JR or a source close to them.
  4. Yes, he's coming to Finland in July. Alas I fear I'm not worth his grace - twice. What can a mere mortal do to earn this divine blessing?
  5. You can't but conclude that psytrance has gone horribly wrong when you hear all these shitty, bastard trance remixes of AC/DC, Nirvana etc. Apart from Skazi, who else is churning out this shit?
  6. Many JR fans here, cool. I can understand why some think Labyrinth was overblown and pompous; I think it's close to the borderline between epic & pompous, a bit too close at times. Anyway JR have been one of the few underground trance groups with vision and not following rigid trends. Oh and they are working on a live DVD too; it's already been filmed in Japan. Kind of odd, because they released one a few years ago and that was filmed in Japan too: http://www.discogs.com/release/481244 Maybe they just need some cash?
  7. The Lone Deranger. You forgot Nothing Lasts... But Nothing is Lost from the poll options.
  8. Reefer Decree - Point of You As already mentioned by others. I can't seem to get enough of this album right now. Really really good. Dousk - DIY (or D.I.Y.?) Softer, atmospheric progressive. The whole album in one session is a bit too much for me though. Lunaspice - Reflexion Not many talk about his album. Very good mixture of atmospheric progressive & psy. FREq - Strange Attractors Nuff said.
  9. That's right; they are supposed to release a new album this summer. Can't wait to hear it. Here's hoping it's at least as good as their last three albums. :-)
  10. Psychopod - Psychopod Properly but not too twisted and tons of stuff going on to keep you interested.
  11. Obviously you've never heard about P2P either. IMO it's completely OK to get those ultrarare releases from there.
  12. You can make pro tracks in FL too. Lost Buddha's choons are made with it and he has a top sound.
  13. Venetian Snares makes his tracks with Renoise. There's a video on YouTube made by him which shows one of his choons playing, with sound:
  14. There is a secret book called The Magick of Trance, but it can - naturally - be obtained only via a secret method. You have to listen to a secret combination of trance records for 72 hours without interruption and then Saint Posford will appear with the book and initiate you into the Supreme Magick of Trance.
  15. I don't understand the mythic reputation of Klein Aber Doctor (Slipstream Original). It's not anything special. It's Ok for early 00's minimal, but that's all. Also his first album is overrated, IMO.
  16. Dude I think you're not real. Please post an unrlsd killargh Hallucinogen track to prove that you are SP.
  17. Ra - To Sirius Not that original sound, but done well.
  18. Sick collections, ukiro and SkeletonMan. Are your homes insured? I'd also like to know what that Mona Lisa records in Astro Cortex's picture is.
  19. I'll definitely buy the Transdimensional rerelease, but I would've preferred it not to be remastered. There's nothing wrong with the vintage sound of the original. About the new Ra album, Christer is working on it with some other dude, or is he? Also excited about the Goasia album. I hope it's more along the lines of the background tracks on their website than the album he/they made with Radical Distortion.
  20. Well, I'm not impressed at all by the three tracks. Generic techno. Gone are the great the themes and atmospheres. RIP The Delta?
  21. It's called Wanderers. Check the (scarce) info & cover at http://www.myspace.com/antixfiord IMO Twin Coast Discovery was weaker than Lull. I hope the new'll be better.
  22. ZOMG can't be true! :uberhappysmiley: :uberhappysmiley: :uberhappysmiley: Gotta give them a listen tonight.
  23. It's not the amount of layers but the quality. Most of the tracks on FOL are great, memorable tracks, not your standard derivative goa. IMO an artist has a duty and right to evolve. Just don't exercise that in the way IM has done.
