  1. As a producer you might want to think a bit more about how you post on public fora and what kind of impression that gives to people. It's in your best interest that people don't think you are a jerk. And you're not going to make a living out of donations, not even album sales. Even with gigs it would be difficult.
  2. They are saying "We need your help so that we can keep this project alive", which I understood as meaning that their label won't survive without donations. So maybe they should portray their situation in a less stark light?
  3. Psychaos - Keyboard Window has an amazing bassline, quite possibly the most brutal in goa & psy. The way it intertwines with other synths is just great. An excellent track overall, too. Pleadians' Family of Light has a great uplifting bassline.
  4. Sun Control Species - Scienza Nuova Sound Field - Audio Surfin Progressive candy
  5. I would like to see a full album from you. You have a lot of talent and a distinct sound.
  6. Well then their complaint regarding that is a non-issue and maybe they should tone down their message.
  7. Says their website: "We need your help so that we can keep this project alive , since we have stuff to pay (website hosting , .com , hours that we spend on promoting , producing new music , organizing and compiling new albums for the people), we ask you , please donate and help us!!" I don't think you can rely solely on voluntary donations for your survival, and IMO you should also look into other ways to ease the burden on yourselves. First you could look for a free hosting service for your website. Google Pages should be a good choice; they don't impose any kind of advertising on your website and you get an easy-to-remember name for your page (that is if you don't want to/can't pay anymore for www.metapsychicrecords.com), such as metapsychicrecords.googlepages.com. Secondly there's hosting all those releases for hundreds or thousands of ppl to download. At least www.archive.org could host them for free. Drop the wav format if necessary or make ppl pay a small sum like 5 dollars for it. Thirdly if you feel your organization is stretched, get new ppl involved. It should be easy to find new promo persons and such. Anyway good luck and thanks for all the good releases!
  8. My brother has those, and I tried them and didn't like them. They have a muffled and a bit thin sound. I use rather cheapo Sennheiser HD-200's. They have a dip at midrange response, which I hate, but they have a crisp fullbodied sound and an OK bass. Besides they are very durable and can take a lot of punishment.
  9. Silence. Highly effective when used right.
  10. 1. Iboga - Antix, Phony Orphants, Behind Blue Eyes... the list goes on. 2. Suntrip - The future of the glorious past of goa. 3. G+ - Not because of their releases but their absolutely kick ass artist roster.
  11. She's hawt, yeah. Too bad it's nigh impossible to catch her playing a gig to see her.
  12. Teh first release from new Spiral Trax, Astrix - Future Music EP (lol what a name), with samples: http://www.psyshop.com/shop/Vinyls/spt/spt1ep038.html Well, it's going to sell. The Wrecked Machines rmx actually sounds quite good. GMS are back with their guitars. :handsintheair:
  13. Concord Dawn - Chaos by Design album You tend to get bored of "doof doof doof doof" every now and then. Fortunately there's "doof tss doof doof tss" too.
  14. My first reaction was "This is great news!", but then I read on and - Astrix and GMS on Spiral Trax? Uh oh... Well, nowadays psy & progressive trance is a business and labels that want to be big have to have big names that sell.
  15. Hey it's a house release; what do you expect.
  16. It's supposed to be psytrance. Well, it might be... for teens - especially eighteens!
  17. I think you should as a label manager motivate your artists to work harder. (Read: Get the whip crackin'!) J/k. Good things come to those who wait. Hmm, his page says "I'm a trance artist in the groups RA and Electron Wave (and ex Dimension5). " So he still considers Electron Wave to exist? I wonder if there's any chance of a new album from them? That would be awesome. However I doubt it's going to happen in the near future at least, because he seems to be busy with other musical projects.
  18. Just ended up at his MySpace page and thought some here might want to learn more about him: www.myspace.com/christrance Edit: Ooops, he has multiple pages. Here's another one: www.myspace.com/christerbl
  19. No I haven't heard it yet, but I've been meaning to check it out. I didn't like the last couple of Cosmosis albums, because they were too cheesy (or playful if you prefer) and too fullon. He has great talent but I think his music nowadays is too... uh, accessible. At any rate, I hope the going in the scene gets more melodic in the future.
  20. LOL there's some Finnish singing on All I Want (the female voice). Finland FTW! The Ribbon... video was great, and I liked the samples too.
  21. As far as I'm concerned, today's psy melodies have a long way to go to be satisfactory. I don't want them to be like goa, but I want movement and depth, something that tingles my spine and gives me goosebumps - without being cheesy.
  22. All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players

    New MOS!

While their first two albums were a bit immature IMO, Drive is great. I got it dirt cheap & still sealed from Japan two years ago. I wish they'd make a comeback. There can never be too much quality tech trance.
