  1. Perhaps something like this? https://soundcloud.com/maiia/sets/maiia303-sky-in-diamonds
  2. I'm really, really bad at listening to other people's DJ mixes online Tracklists for your visions of trance seem ineresting though.
  3. 150, with a few exceptions in (mostly) the goa realm Especially machine gun basslines at 150+ start to sound rather ridiculous.
  4. All my CDs ripped, and all the downloads (all legal): 8 weeks, 6 days, 23 hours, 12 minutes, and 13 seconds. Not gonna sort it into genres. And not particularly huge as there's 17 years of buying music in there.
  5. That cover is rather ewww...complete with clicheic reggae/dub colours and whatnot, and...a shoe? Reminds me of http://poorlydrawnlines.com/comic/beginning/
  6. Well I kinda knew they were there but forgot all about it, until I wandered one night to the sacred fire area in a mushroom-induced daze and promptly passed out on a bench while they were playing Also, repost over 9000 but who cares:
  7. So I decided to get rid of some CDs I don't need anymore. Reasonable prices on everything. Clicky clicky here.
  8. Some random rambling at 3:30 AM Was nice meeting you and chat random bullshit and whatnot Musical highlights: (gigs I saw beginning to end) Medicine Drum (kicked some serious ass) Anoushka Shankar (holy shit that was a good gig) Nebula Meltdown GNOTR Kaya Project Grouch (some friends of mine talked me into staying at the chillout for his set, occasionally a bit too wobbly but rather fun anyway) Other notable gigs I saw bits and pieces of: Desert Dwellers DJ Loopus Hardfloor Hibernation Argot Digamma Eat Static (chillout) The ending jam at the chillout Ticon Filteria I've seen too many times live already so that wasn't really anything special, MWNN was a bit too proggy for me this time. And the mixing of the Juno Reactor gig sucked donkey balls. Pros: + well organized and thought out overall + the almost unbelievable amount of work put into all the decorations, lights and all these small distractions all over the festival area + clean toilets + enough food stalls, no insanely long queues when I needed to eat, mostly great food, some misses + the Funktion One at the dance temple was perhaps the clearest sound system I've ever heard on a festival + nothing bad to say about the other sound systems either + the lake (I didn't shower at all during the entire festival, daily dipping into the lake was enough) Cons: - the power at the chillout/gardens went out at least twice - mostly rather crap music at the dance temple (but hey, I'm a goa trance nut and dislike most of modern kbbbkbbb+fart noises psy...) - the chlorine made the free water taste like shit (I drank it for a couple of the first days until it started to piss me off) - the heat got occasionally on my nerves (but *yes I know* it's impossible to do anything about it) Of course I can't remember everything, mostly I was wandering around and chilling by myself, and getting random snacks/food and a shitload of chai And overall it was a rather mixed bag, and perhaps I'm getting a bit tired of these huge gatherings that somehow feel like "too much" for me. Maybe I'm getting old or something, or maybe I need a break, *shrug*.
  9. There's some D5 in there for sure
  10. Yeah, nothing wrong with music being "dark". It's just that dark nowadays mostly means high tempos with machine gun basslines and fart noises.
  11. Well this isn't exactly goa morning music (and the artist prefers to call it "daypsy"), but I can really recommed it. Tempos around 130BPM. Also, free on Ektoplazm. And he's not exactly a "newcomer", but the project is quite new.
  12. I can wait... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAC-5Rfmcqg ...or then no I CAN'T WAIT OMGZ. (an older track I know but somehow it has passed under my radar)
  13. Some new(-ish) artists I'd like to see more of: BlackStarrFinale Cymatics Lunar Dawn Morphic Resonance Crossing Mind (not exactly a new artist, but I agree with you) Lapsus (I have no idea how much material he has hidden away but his stuff kicks ass) Omnivox (also not exactly a new artist but based on his new album, I like where he's taking his sound) Imba seems to be getting better and better GoaTree PortaMento (apparently he's not really active anymore) Amygdala (even if he's stated that he's not much into music right now) Profetia (gotta have one of the Finns in here aswell I might have forgotten some...
  14. True I'll have to see what my situation is close to the festival.
  15. Anyone planning to go this year? I'm still undecided...
