  1. ...which could be called unsane, beyond sanity, and yet not insane.
  2. Not to be insenstive but this made me lol.
  3. Fantastic recommendation for the 2nd CD, which is called 2Minds in Dub (Tracks 9 to 15). I'm always on the lookout for Shpongle style music and I really liked this one.
  4. This will help: http://www.ektoplazm.com/essentials I wish Basilisk continued the essentials project, but I guess he is busy with other things now.
  5. The sample in the second track is also used in: Penta - Leave a Message, but that's not it.
  6. How's this going? Would be nice to see a best of 2013 poll or did I miss it?
  7. This sucks. I messaged them through the link Richpa provided, and requested to restore the page back again.
  8. Astral Projection - Mahadeva in the year 2000 or 2001. Soon after I listened to Paul Oakenfold's A Vogage into Trance which had the seminal Hallucinogen - LSD, among many other good tracks. The first normal trance (non psychedelic) tune I listened to was Robert Miles - Children, and this was before I got exposed to any goa trance.
  9. I listened to the album through headphones and also floor speakers. There is only one track which is cinematic and that would be "The Epiphany of Mrs Kugla", which is still good but may be on the less psychedelic side. There are musical samples from the TV show Twin Peaks and from Pink Floyd's On The Run. Pink Floyd was one of Simon's favorite bands in high school, so it's not a surprise to see the influence. Consider the last track a Shpongle remix of On The Run, if you will. My initial impression: a good album but not a masterpiece. 7/10
  10. Gif or no gif..Carry on with the reviews.
  11. 23rd Annual Austin Chronicle Hot Sauce Festival on Sunday, August 25th, 2013. If you wanna beat the heat this summer, then you gotta eat the heat – join The Austin Chronicle for the world's largest hot sauce festival. http://www.austinchronicle.com/Market/HotSauce/
  12. Nice mix. I enjoyed it. Rapidshare link is not working, but you can listen to it here: https://soundcloud.com/drosophila-1/sunday-afternoon-mix-mixed-by-drosophila-tranquilizers
  13. YES. This is me --> I bought that exact figurine and it sits on a shelf motivating me to browse the net till I die.
  14. I do not follow dark psy at all. It's too fast paced and aggressive for me. I've not listened to dark psy on a dancefloor, so may be it will have a different effect on me if I experience it the way it is supposed to. A few tracks mixed in here and there is fine, but I don't know if I'll be able to listen to it all night long. I love dark sounding tracks which have a low tempo.
  15. Yeah if it gets really too hot, then there is no flavor to the food. But there are many dishes which are popular for being spicy hot. I guess, some people do enjoy it.
  16. I also like hot sauces. My favorite would be Sriracha hot sauce, which has a cult-like following in the US. Franks Red hot sauce is also great for making Buffalo wings...yum.
  17. If I was living in an ideal world of music listening, then I would want to know the name of every artist and song entering my brain. When you listen to an amazing DJ set and there is no tracklist... it sucks. And why so? Because many times there is no way of knowing the played tracks. What if someone wants to explore the artist of the song they liked or want to buy that amazing tune for further listening and to support the artist directly. I can understand some DJ's don't want to divulge the songs. May be it is not released yet or it is a hidden gem or worse...they don't want others to find out the source of their music. I wish every music event/festival had a protocol of giving out the tracklist, may be not during the event but later. Many established DJs or even amateur DJs post their mixes online without a tracklist. This practice should stop. I thank them all for the awesome music, but it would be so nice to always have a tracklist. Anyone feel the same way?
  18. I appreciate the evolution of goa trance and the skills/story telling abilities of artists through this music. I like how the melodic sounds of goa evolved into the more mechanical psytrance and then to progressive/minimal with resurrection through neogoa. We now have many styles developed over the past decade, some of them I don't care for, but the beauty is that every style has its own fan base. For instance, the popular fast paced dark psy has not got my attention and it is not my preferred sub genre. Change is constant, and as other art forms music also evolves through time. So yeah...overall its good.
  19. Progressive tune: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kYZR70sUtA
  20. I think joining with Ektoplazm is a great idea. Please consider this suggestion seriously.
  21. I don't think the man is crying. He is singing an Indian classical raga, which in full range can bring out emotions in a listener.
  22. How psychedelic is this? Amazing...... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cVFBH7b2b1I
