  1. Nice. I had a feeling the label wouldn't be so exciting anymore with the new owner and all (right? I can't remember who's in charge now). But looking at the tracklist this looks rather good. Abakus!! The appletree track is old though isn't it? Not that it matters too much. Certainly curious to hear this
  2. I like the new 'reply screen'. I am apsolutely pleaced with this, man, but even if i wouldn't be i would probably just give a really big shit, a few days' posting and you're used to the new design? cheers
  3. microhouse, minimal, neo-trance.. I wouldn't care how people call it. For some people that kind of tracks are very trancy or psychedelic.. they might call it neo-trance... microhouse I don't know what to say about tbh , and well minimal.. so many things are called "minimal" today, from Steve Reich to Paul Kalkbrenner and backwards? pigeonholing
  4. Ultimae's VA - Albedo (especially the first half) is what I like during autumn actually I wouldn't even mind if that first short CBL track on it would last for the full 80 minutes, love it dearly
  5. "killaaaaaaaarghhh" Thanks for the heads up, hadn't noticed their new one myself
  6. Nice! Glad we're back in action
  7. Thanks for the linky. I have been checking out some stuff from Autoplate and other netlabels recently but reading this I realised I had kind of forgotten about Thinner, going to check this one out
  8. Yeah, but on the other hand I've also been reading that you can also see them as 7 long tracks split up in shorter tracks, like the first three tracks combined equal Shpongle - Beija Flor, or something. But I do agree with you, I like the concept to the first two shpongles better. On the Twisted forum I saw someone posting that now we're supposed to be getting shpongle 4, the shpongle extras box thing and some live recording? weird!
  9. In what possible way do certain Shpongle tracks resemble Asstral Projection? Explain! "Samples or stfu!"
  10. good idea!! been a while since I popped that one in my cd player *androcell plays*
  11. I really don't know where else to post this, so here goes, hoping this hasn't been asked before.. w00t? I was still under the impression that there wouldn't be a new shpongle except that box thing that still has not seen the light of day? quote taken from the twisted site's front page 'thank you' article
  12. Thanks a lot for sharing this with us! Very nice
  13. I don't think they went to schools for imbecile people Perhaps the shipping prices might get a little bit cracy for COD deliveries, but that's just how it is. Is it really necessary to swear at them so much? Imagine if the aforementioned shops would offer their cds for the same prices as "real" shops do.. like at least €20 per cd plus shipping. I can only wish I had a CC to be able to buy killargh cds at mentioned shops! Simon P will be very disappointed!
  14. I'd say try some VAs from Tribal Vision records, same style
  15. I know this one Dutch download store that offers 192kbps mp3 files for €1,49 or so. That's not very encouraging is it, gets a bit pricey when you buy heaps of tracks. Also, when I asked why they didn't offer at least 320kbps, they seemed to believe you can't hear the difference between 192kbps mp3 and cd quality.. apparently proven by scientific studies.. haha, thought they could fool me eh Actually I think I'd prefer WAV for downloads, highest quality possible plz!
  16. you mean that track on Alan parson - a valid path?
  17. Hey, I've voted for CD. As I already wrote in the other topic, I don't have anything against mp3/wav, it's a very nice way of being able to offer exclusive/unreleased tracks for sale, or for people to be able to buy just one single track off a cd, when they don't like all tracks on a cd. That way you still support the artist/label I suppose, which is good. But.. if I had to choose between buying an original cd album including original artwork/covers, and legally download it, thus having to burn the tracks myself and print the covers myself.. I'd choose original CD any day. Even if downloading an album would cost the same or even less than an original cd. If I were ever to release my music I'd like it to be on cd, not just download. I like to be able to hold that original cd in my hands, it's much more real! *gets emotional* Also, I think it would be a tremendous shame if there wouldn't be any vinyls pressed anymore. One of the things I'd really like to buy in the future is a turntable and some classic records on vinyl, just for the sake of it, *good old times*. Still, I tend to think it's not very realistic anymore for labels to press albums on vinyl or something, I suppose there's still people buying vinyl singles and playing them out, even though more and more people seem to be turning to cd players, I'd appreciate when vinyl would still be pressed. So, yeah, CD, I'm proud of the original cds I have bought the past months, love em!
  18. don't be such a dork. I was thinking of giving my honest opinion, like nemo did, but no thanks

  20. Nice! I'd rather buy an original cd, with original covers/artwork/booklet etc., than buy-download the music and artwork, burn em on cdr and print the covers myself, or something. Wouldn't mind buying mp3/wav when it's just a single track, or something exclusive. But full albums? original cd anyday
