  1. I'm afraid I don't know where to get them exactly, but I'm sure they're available on p2p, I know Armin van Buuren's radio show has quite a huge fanbase, they should be out there as there's always people ripping the show to their computer. I used to listen to the show a couple of years ago, esp when it had just started (2001/2002..) I don't think there's any `official' sites to get them from though, so it'll have to be p2p or via torrents or whatsitcalled?
  2. That's crazy, he must have had a bad day!
  3. Exciting it is! I'm curious to hear new Koxbox! Well the new Twisted site is online so we must be approaching summer 2008 already
  4. Good lord I'll just pretend I didn't check that sample
  5. Looking forward to the new Holm & Andersen tracks! Good luck dudes

  7. Nope that's in Eastern Europe
  8. Nice! Have you guys ever been at a party/event where you went to stay all night (because there was no train to take you home earlier, for instance) and there was only 1 DJ who played for about 8 hours, and that certain DJ also played pretty much the most pathetic dull set he ever played, supposedly being called the best DJ in the world but not being able to mix a tune properly and also having the worst track selection in years? And the party taking place in a football stadium with way too much sweaty hey-look-at-me-im-the-man people present? Ahhhh that pretty much sums up my experience 3 years ago when I was 17 and went to my first event which happened to be a "concert" by dj Tiesto. There's a first time for everything though paying over 50 euros to "experience" one DJ = bollocks, by the way
  9. me too! I can barely stop playing Oxycanta

  12. Robert Rich's 'Somnium' lasts for 420 minutes if I'm not mistaken. a 7 hour piece DVD release (I'm hoping to be able to check it out one day.. gotta be amazing) http://www.robertrich.com/rrsomnium.html
  13. Yeah I noticed It got me curious
  14. The current track by Total Eclipse is pretty nice indeed
  15. I reckon him cool enough in my books.. but I wonder.. was he as worshipped as much as he sometimes is nowadays, back in the years of his hallucinogen album releases (96 - 97)? or do people just worship him these days because years after the initial album releases they realized that music was actually way cooler than the music they get these days?
  16. hah, it's in no way progressive trance. more like degressive trance. i think he does play some tracks in his sets that could be called progressive trance, but not his own music.. oh no, more like cheesy euro trance
  17. Well they don't exactly admit it, but pretty much everyone knows he doesn't make his own tracks... For instance his track Magik Journey is made by Geert Huinink (from Photon Project/Dawnseekers), as well as Forever Today and A Tear in The Open to mention just a few, and so are his remixes of ROC Project - Never and Svenson & Gielen - We Know What You did, which all carry the Geert Huinink sound. Pretty much everyone knows he has others working for him as well, one of them is some guy called Dennis Waakop Reyers, who's also listed as co-producer on his latest album, but it's more like the other way round. If you've ever heard this release you'll hear the resemblance with the old tiesto tracks I just can't really prove it with hard evidence unfortunately, you'll just have to believe me. Or not if you don't believe it. I wouldn't say it if it weren't true though, there's no reason for me to spread lies
  18. The current Tiesto and Armin van Buuren and their labels and fellow similar producers/DJs are exactly the reason I'm listening to psy trance nowadays. Was really happy to find out that there was even more to trance than I already knew. The current euro trance scene is in its most pathetic state ever, with the most amateurish bedroom producers and their moms being signed to the biggest labels with the worst quality tracks ever. Several DJs, who can barely mix a record properly, are being worshipped like gods.. etc. What strikes me the most is that a number of these huge name DJs, such as Tiesto, make us think that he is a great trance producer, while he just has producers doing all the work for him, dare to call themselves 'artists'. And let's not mention the popstar attitude some have. I've seen people complain about the ever rising number of psy labels appearing, releasing nothing special, but it can't be half as bad as the euro trance scene, where since the rise of digital download stores like beatport.com, a huge amount of digital-only labels have turned up, churning out one piece of excrement after another... which they easily can because they have no production costs whatsoever since all they have to provide is the .wav file in order to sell their stuff through digital stores.. I used to love trance.. just 'trance'.. but it certainly lost its dignity for the biggest part in my opinion. The good old days are gone that's for sure, but not much people appear to be trying to make something decent. There's a handful of euro lads still doing their own thing without going 'commercial', such as John '00' Fleming to mention just one, but what do you think he plays mostly nowadays.. psytrance, naturally. It really bugs me I didn't discover psy trance and psy ambient until somewhere late 2004.. doing a lot of catching up these days! Also for some odd reason I've experienced that the most mature people I meet on music forums such as psynews, or tranceaddict for instance,.. are people who don't really listen to euro trance.. lots of ignorant people in that scene.. but not everyone ofcourse or perhaps it's just coincidence..
  19. Silly question perhaps, but what do you mean by "high voltage" ?
  20. Yo Astro, I finally got round to giving this a listen, and I must say it's véry well done, I have yet to discover what's exactly happening between the two backbone tracks and the other tracks on top of them, but for that reason I'm gonna burn it onto a cdr, to hear it on a better soundsystem.
  21. Aes Dana - Memory Shell (Ultimae records) http://www.discogs.com/release/329609 VA - Oxycanta (Ultimae records) http://www.discogs.com/release/669595 comes in lovely digipack as usual with great design.. but I wish they'd come wrapped in plastic or something like that, cause now the edges of the Memory Shell digipack are slightly damaged still looks and sound fantastic though
